I'm happy to finally release my first extended set with you, recorded at StereoBar in Montreal. StereoBar is a club that's quickly jumped onto my shortlist of favorite venues in the world. Beyond the nailing the club fundamentals (sound system, layout, lighting, staff), they feature the "All Night" series where one DJ plays as opener, headliner, and closer. I love this format since it gives me the opportunity to build the energy from scratch and take the night in any direction without constraints. But more importantly, I get to play for one of the most enthusiastic, supportive crowds that I've ever encountered. The energy from this night was the strongest I've felt in quite some time, certainly my best gig of the last year. Almost everything I threw out there worked, which actually makes me think that I might not have worked hard enough. There are many more sonic landscapes I'd love to explore, so hopefully I can come back again soon and we can take another journey in that special room... Für Musik hat sich Chris Robin schon in seinen jungen Jahren interessiert. Bevor er überhaupt daran dachte irgendwann mal vor 2 drehenden Tellern zu stehen, schnitt er sich in den 80zigern seine eigenen Tapes aus dem Radio zusammen. In 1997 standen dann die ersten Turntables im eigenen Proberaum und erste Gigs standen in seiner Heimat in Hessen auf dem Programm. Vorerst wurden jedoch eigene Partys sehr erfolgreich organisiert. Erste Mixtapes wurden fleißig verteilt und so kam es, das erste Clubs wie das legendäre U60311 in Frankfurt anfragten. Weitere Highlights in seiner Dj Karriere waren Gigs auf der Popkomm in Köln und einige Besuche im beliebten Radiosender „Radio XXL“ heute YouFM in Frankfurt. Nach Gründung seines eigenen Record Labels „Flicker Rhythm“ in 2005 kamen auch die ersten Gigs im Ausland wie das Rachdingue in Spanien, Warm Up in Marseille, Les Voiles in Montelimar France und Prime Club in Kiev. Mit seiner Aktuellen Partyreihe in Berlin „Flicker Rhythm is a dancer“ und den Flicker Stammtisch in der Stereo Bar, ist Flicker Rhythm in der Berliner Techno Szene angekommen. Im Oktober 2015 feiert sein Label 10 Jähriges bestehen und wartet mit einer großartigen Compilation langjähriger Künstler und Freunde von Flicker Rhythm auf.
