In this passionate segment, the host addresses decades of political rhetoric from the political left, demanding an end to Democrats labeling political opponents as "Nazis" or "fascists." Drawing historical parallels, the host argues that the term "Nazi" was popularized by media outlets like the New York Times to deflect from the "National Socialist" roots of the party. Turning attention to a recent U.S. Senate primary victory, the host critiques the media coverage surrounding candidate Grand Platner and his controversial SS Totenkopf tattoo, arguing that his victory reflects a disturbing rise in street-thug mentalities, socialism, and antisemitism within the modern progressive movement. Political commentary, Media bias, Grand Platner, National Socialism, Political rhetoric, U.S. Senate primary, Antisemitism, Ideological debate

Ellen Coyne and Cormac McQuinn join Hugh Linehan to look back on the week in politics:· The left-wing alliance that was formed during Catherine Connolly's presidential campaign is already straining, with the Social Democrats, Labour and People Before Profit concerned with the policy direction of Sinn Féin on issues like migration and reproductive rights.· Independent Ireland leader Michael Collins was not impressed by left-leaning voters neglecting to supply party candidate Noel Thomas with enough transfers to prevail in the recent Galway West byelection. Perhaps those voters did not want to give Thomas a preference given his far from left-leaning stance on immigration.· The omission of services from the Occupied Territories Bill, which targets Israeli imports produced from Palestinian lands, came as a surprise to no one. After many months of mulling it over, the Taoiseach was accused by Opposition parties of reneging on promises to prohibit all trade with settlements. Government can expect many calls for amendments when it is brought to Oireachtas in the coming weeks.· And the building of one-off rural housing could become easier with plans to relax the rules for rural housing, aimed at allowing for increased supply, expected to be brought to Cabinet next month.Would you like to receive daily insights into world events delivered to your inbox? "Leftwing" and "Rightwing" don't mean the same thing anymore–the battle lines are redrawing. The twentieth century was about economics: low taxes or big government. The twenty-first century will be a fight over something else. Historian and political theorist Stephen Davies joins to discuss his book "The Great Realignment" and the reshaping Western politics, and the collapse of the old left-right order.

Are the mainstream media and left-wing politicians weaponizing legal terms against Israel? In this segment, Brian Kilmeade sits down with U.S. District Court Judge Roy K. Altman, author of Israel on Trial. Judge Altman breaks down the strict legal definitions of "genocide" and "apartheid," pointing to high-level military reports that thoroughly debunk these accusations. He also exposes how Israel's advanced defense technology benefits the U.S. military and details a massive, historic shift in public opinion taking place within Lebanon and the Gulf States. Bridget sits down with Noah Rothman, senior editor at National Review and author of Blood And Progress: A Century of Left-Wing Violence in America, to trace the long, suppressed history of radical left-wing political violence in the United States — from the anarchist bombings of the 1920s to the Weather Underground to the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Noah argues that this history isn't obscure, it's deliberately buried, and that the same patterns driving today's wave of violence have shown up in 50-year cycles throughout American history. They also get into why 9/11 inadvertently put the brakes on a bombing campaign that might otherwise still be ongoing — and what that tells us about how close to the edge we actually are.Buy Blood And Progress here: https://bit.ly/4eKXuee#LeftWingViolence #PoliticalViolence #walkinswelcome #BridgetPhetasyTopics covered: left-wing political violence, Blood in Progress book, Weather Underground, Charlie Kirk assassination, Luigi Mangione copycat violence, anarchist terrorism, radical left history, revolutionary socialism, media suppression of left-wing violence, 9/11 and domestic terrorism

A crackdown on France's unauthorised raves threatens an outlet for young people. How regional accents in France can hold you back. And the Front Populaire, which laid the foundations of France's welfare state. The French government has vowed to crack down on unauthorised raves, known as "free parties", with a proposed law that would punish organisers with up to six months in prison and hefty fines. While the interior minister claims such gatherings threaten public order, free party fans defend their right to meet and share techno music outside of for-profit venues. Electronic music producer Maelström, who cut his teeth DJing at rave parties in France as a teenager in the late 1990s, looks back at the growth of that counter-culture and how it shaped his own music. Rather than repressing rave culture, he argues the state should help young people make such gatherings safe and sustainable. (Listen @2'15'') France has dozens of regional accents, but you wouldn't know it to listen to broadcasters or politicians – most of whom have learned to speak a standardised form of French shaped in Paris. Sociologist Médéric Gasquet-Cyrus dissects his own Marseille accent and others from around the country, and explains why the impetus to flatten distinctive accents remains strong in France. (Listen @22') The Front Populaire, a broad left-wing coalition elected in May 1936, introduced paid time off and other reforms that continue to shape French society today. Economic historian Nicolas Brisset explains why, 90 years on, it remains a powerful symbol for the French left. (Listen @14'50'') Episode mixed by Cecile Pompeani. Former FBI Director James Comey is under the microscope again, this time hiding behind a ridiculous "seashell" defense after allegedly posting a veiled threat against Donald Trump. While the legacy media rushes to dismiss the "86/47" beach message as a harmless coincidence, Comey's long record of selective amnesia and partisan leaks tells a much darker story. From orchestrating the Russia collusion hoax to shielding Hillary Clinton's illegal homebrew servers, this latest stunt highlights the sheer arrogance of a thoroughly weaponized justice system. It is past time to hold the architects of the Deep State accountable for years of lying to Congress and betraying the American people, argues Victor Davis Hanson on today's edition of “Victor Davis Hanson: In a Few Words.”

A lot of people can quote the right theory, wear the right shirt, and post the right meme. Then the moment arrives when you have to sit down with a coworker, ask what they need, and move them toward collective action and suddenly they vanish. We take on that tension by reading and reacting to the provocation “The Left-Wing Deadbeat,” using our own union organizing experience to separate what's real from what's just frustration dressed up as advice. We talk about why some organizing stories feel instantly familiar yet still leave out the most important details: timelines, workplace conditions, power mapping, and what the organizer actually did to develop leaders. From disruptive committee members to under-socialized online habits, we keep coming back to a basic organizing truth: you don't win by judging politics, you win by building relationships, teaching skills, and giving people a path to act. That includes modeling one-on-one conversations, debriefing conflicts, and treating coworkers like human beings instead of line items.Along the way we get into labor movement debates that shape strategy on the ground: rank and file unionism versus staff-driven approaches, labor aristocracy and “PMC” shorthand, what proletarianization looks like in tech and academia, and why certain alliances like cozying up to police unions can blow back strategically. We also look at militancy, when it helps, when it becomes a burnout machine, and why political education matters even in bread-and-butter fights. If you care about workplace organizing, union strategy, and building durable worker power, subscribe, share this with a coworker, and leave a review. Kiersten Pels, National Press Secretary for the RNC, responds to a montage of Democrats and left-leaning figures using violent or inflammatory political language, arguing that such rhetoric contributes to real-world extremism and is often followed by silence or insufficient condemnation from Democratic leaders. She emphasizes what she calls a broader pattern of radicalization on the left, the need for political leaders to denounce violence clearly, and the RNC's intention to hold Democrats accountable during the campaign cycle. The discussion also shifts to election dynamics, with Pels pointing to polling that shows a closely divided congressional race and rejecting narratives of an inevitable Democratic “blue wave,” instead framing voter sentiment as skeptical of Democratic leadership and policies heading into the midterms. We're being told that there is more right-wing violence than left wing vilence. Is that true? And does rhetoric cause violence? And if so, does that mean we can't speak the truth anymore?
The left is losing control of their assassins and are desperate to keep their literal fire directed at the right. This isn't a “both sides issue,” no matter how much the whole media pretends otherwise.

Mainstream left-wing violence is here. It is no longer on the fringes.
The aftermath of the White House correspondents dinner shooting reveals a nation where facts no longer exist and truth is a casualty of years of systematic disinformation. While mainstream media outlets like CNN engage in whataboutism, the public response across the political spectrum suggests a deep rooted skepticism of official narratives. This distrust stems from a long history of misinformation regarding the 2020 election, COVID hoaxes, and the January 6 insurrection. The current administration, featuring figures like Marco Rubio, Stephen Miller, and Kash Patel, faces a credibility crisis that extends from domestic policy to international negotiations with Iran and Israel. When political violence occurs, the immediate reflex is to label it staged or a false flag because the basis for shared reality has been dismantled. By analyzing the principles found in On Tyranny by Timothy Snyder, specifically the necessity of believing in truth to maintain freedom, a clearer picture emerges of how spectacle has replaced substance in American governance. The 2024 election of a convicted felon and the subsequent second term of Donald Trump have pushed both the right and the left into conspiratorial thinking. This environment makes it impossible to criticize power effectively or find accurate information amidst a relentless campaign of lies on Truth Social and right wing media. The alleged gunman from the White House correspondents' dinner has been named 31 year old Cole Allen. He was arrested at the scene armed with a shotgun, handgun and multiples knives. It later emerged the suspect sent a note to family members before the shooting, apologising to parents, colleagues and bystanders for what he was about to do.He wrote 'I apologise to everyone....who suffered before I was able to attempt this, to all who may still suffer after, regardless of my success or failure.' He added that he may have given 'a lot of people a surprise today' and, although he did not name Mr Trump directly in the writings, he did criticise him and mentioned targeting the administration.Freddy Gray and Spectator contributor Max Horder discuss the shooter's 'manifesto', how this is a similar example to the Luigi Mangione case and why the world has become immune to political violence. Clint Olivier joins Philip Teresi to talks about the ballroom suit, Cole Allen and Left Wing conspiracy theories. The Justice Department has filed a lawsuit over the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting, targeting the Trump International Hotel ballroom where the incident occurred. Federal officials allege security failures contributed to the attack, as investigators continue examining how the suspect gained access and how protections broke down. A Wall Street Journal opinion column argues that Washington has quietly embraced a form of government power that punishes without due process, comparing it to a “friendly federal assassin.” The piece criticizes the growing use of executive actions, sanctions, and administrative penalties that bypass courts, warning they pose long‑term risks to civil liberties and democratic accountability. Fox News hosts and contributors pushed back on left‑wing claims that the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting was a “false flag”, calling the theories disturbing and irresponsible. The segment criticized online conspiracy narratives spreading after the attack, arguing they undermine facts, fuel misinformation, and distract from the real security failures under investigation.
