In this special episode, we momentarily step away from our immigration series to honor the life and legacy of our grandfather, James Chadwick. While our family attends his funeral this week, we are grateful to still connect with you through a powerful conversation recorded with Tracy from the Tune My Heart podcast.Join us as we discuss the story of John Henry—his historical and legendary roots, what representation means to us as Black brothers in Christ, and the gospel themes that shine through even in secular stories. From childhood cartoons to cultural reflections, this conversation goes deep while still leaving room for laughter and perspective.

When we talk about writing on the podcast, we usually do it in the context of writing books. But writing can take many forms, and today I'm excited to welcome a guest whose writing and creative work has taken shape in many different ways over the years. Andrew Greer is an eight-time Dove Award-nominated singer/songwriter, producer, author and television/podcast host who is known for his old soul sound and thoughtful conversations. Andrew's fifth and newest collaboration with Parable Christian Stores, Tune My Heart 2…Songs of Goodness & Love, follows last year's Tune My Heart…Songs of Rest & Reflection—which debuted at #1 and spent 23 weeks atop Parable Christian Stores National Retail chart. In addition to writing and recording his own music, Andrew is a producer as well. Just last month, we saw the release of Bellsburg: The Songs of Rich Mullins, co-produced by Andrew. The album featured recordings of classic Rich Mullins songs by Christian artists, including Amy Grant, Derek Webb, Cindy Morgan, Andrew Peterson, and many others. Andrew is also known for facilitating conversations that dig deep. He co-created and co-hosts the popular television and streaming series Dinner Conversations with Mark Lowry and Andrew Greer. Additionally, he co-hosts Bridges with Patsy Clairmont and Andrew Greer, which is a podcast inviting listeners of all ages to find common ground by embracing a fierce faith in a tough season. Carrying on his affinity for meaningful conversations in a spiritual context, Andrew has authored two books—Transcending Mysteries: Who is God, and What Does He Want From Us? co-authored with Ginny Owens, and Winds of Heaven, Stuff of Earth: Spiritual Conversations Inspired by the Life and Lyrics of Rich Mullins. As you can see, Andrew is an artist and writer who operates in multiple genres and formats. In this wide-ranging conversation, we talk about his journey as an artist and musician, his burgeoning interest in filmmaking, producing the new Rich Mullins album, and much more.

Psalm 100 1 Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! 2 Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! 3 Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! 5 For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.

In which we're joined by Mollie (sail_not_drift/Schwoozie) for a lengthy discussion of... Well, a lot of things. You really have to just listen. Also included: a reading of "Tune My Heart to Sing Thy Grace" (by your intrepid host), which is Christmasy in nature. Note: The music referred to in the outro (Lee Rosevere) is not in fact the music being played DURING the outro but is instead the music that appears at the end of the fic. I know that's confusing. I'm sorry. Music courtesy of Broke For Free, Dustmotes, and Lee Rosevere

Sermon on Psalm 33
Sermon on Psalm 33
"There is no discipline that invokes more guilt in people than the subject of prayer." -Ryan Paulson In this message we learned how prayer is designed to set us free from the anxieties and stress of our lives. Prayer is not a command that should invoke guilt it is the path where peace is found. The battle for a healthy mind and heart is waged and won in prayer.
Celebration is actually commanded in scripture. Why are we commanded to celebrate? God actually uses celebration as a tool to tune our hearts into His goodness. We often don't think of celebration as a God honoring thing but it is.
2 Corinthians 8:1-12 In this message Ryan shares with us how generosity tunes our hearts to God. You are never more like God when you are generous.
In this message our guest speaker Dr. Scott Wenig shared with us about the life of Barnabas and how his gift of encouragement helped shape so many in the New Testament. He taught us how we can grow into encouragers.
In this sermon Ryan teaches us about the significance of communion in the life of the church. Sometimes we allow sacraments (traditional practices) like communion to get old. Sometimes we don't understand and therefore don't benefit from some of God's gifts to us. This message tries to explain how communion is designed to tune our hearts to God.
We often don't talk about what actually takes place in our hearts when we confess our sins. Much of confession is for us not God. This sermon talks about how confession works in our hearts to tune them. This may be one of the least understood blessings in many Christian lives.
Psalm 95 People have been arguing about worship for 2000+ years. This Sunday we trie to get to the heart of the matter for our church. Ryan walked through Psalm 95 and drew out principles that should guide and inform our worship. He offered us tips on how we can grow as worshipers.
Sometimes we need something to help us tune our hearts to God. One of the most powerful tools that God gives us to help our hearts tune is His word. In this message we learn more about that.
Speaker: Sara Miles. This message was preached on July 24th, 10:45AM, at St. Gregory of Nyssa Episcopal Church. Related Verses: Genesis 18:20-32; Colossians 2:6-15; Luke 11:1-13
