Read's second trial for the murder of her boyfriend, former police officer John O'Keefe, began last week. Monday, a Cellebrite digital intelligence expert, Ian Whiffen, took the stand and testified that John O'Keefe's phone stopped moving after he was dropped off at the Albert's Canton home, that at “12:32 a.m., the device was unlocked and locked a final time, and there was no more activity on the phone until shortly after 6 a.m.” Whiffen went on to say that the temperature of O'Keefe's phone battery dropped steadily throughout the night. We discussed the latest from the trial and how today's testimony might impact the defense's argument.Listen to WBZ NewsRadio on the NEW iHeart Radio app and be sure to set WBZ NewsRadio as your #1 preset!

Karen Read's trial got lit on Monday, when Karen Read's accident reconstructionist, Daniel Wolfe took the stand in yet another voire dire in which he came empty handed. Wolfe testified unbelievably that he couldn't retrieve his text messages exchanges with the defense. He said he switched carriers, talked on the encrypted app Signal (Karen Read's preferred method of communication with her defense atorneys and Aidan Kearney). Signal has a feature that auto-deletes their texts. Wolfe was also struck with sudden onset amnesia at other times, answering “I don't recall” to a majority of Mr Brennan's questions. Also, Ian Whiffen from Cellebrite took the stand. Testifying that Jen McCabe's “Hos long to die in the cold” took place at 6:23 & 6:24 am. Whiffen also testified that John O'Keefe's body never left the flag pole area and his phone was unlocked for the last time after he looked at a text message from Jen McCabe shortly before being struck by Karen Read's vehicle.Get access to exclusive content & support the podcast by becoming a Patron today! https://patreon.com/robertaglasstruecrimereport Throw a tip in the tip jar! https://buymeacoffee.com/robertaglassSupport Roberta by sending a donation via Venmo. https://venmo.com/robertaglassShow Notes: Roberta Glass True Crime Report "Karen Read Retrial Day 5" https://www.youtube.com/live/Z1AsLbfxJMs?si=Fgf0Y8dvu3wdXPE_Thank you Patrons! Welcome to the Stupid Hearts Club! The Club for everyone with a Stupid Heart-------------------Hello persons of the Earth! It's Captain Seaside again, with another lovely slice of chat for you. Last week I spoke to multi-podcaster, editor of Podbible Magazine and sinister nightclub promoter Stu Whiffen. Stu is a top geezer that I hit it off with after going on two of his 74 Podcasts (Off the Beat and Track, and Reach Out for Mental Health). We talked about music, creativity and (taste warning) a game that I in no way condone, where people decorate their willies with fuzzy felt. Some of it is more mature than that bit, but let's be honest not by much. I now can't wait to see if Stu (my best new friend IN THE WORLD) can hold true to his promise taking me on a roadtrip to teach me about his new hobby of actual hashtage Vanlifing.Enjoy!Nico-------------------If you like what I do and you want to support me financially, as well as get access to some cool extras, please take a look at my Patreon! And if you can't, or indeed just don't want to, then I'm still super happy you're here (but I will now ignore you if I see you in the street)And if you want to hear more from me I'm always putting things up on my Instagram, come and say hello-------------------Produced by Drew ToynbeeCopyright 2024 Nico Tatarowicz

It's nearly Halloween and to celebrate the boys thought it's about time to do Top 5 Horror movies (as Chris has been threatening to do this for the last 18months). Obviously Stu knows nothing about Horror so has had to draft in his wonderful wife Carol to fill in the gaps.Chris and Carol are Horror fanatics and it was really hard for either of them to narrow this list down to just 5, but through cut throat decisions and blood curdling cries they have just done just that. So as Garth Marenghi would say, we hope you're sitting uncomfortably, maybe on a bean bag (if that's how you choose to live your life) and get ready for our Halloween Horror special. With Chris off doing something suspicious it was left to Whiffen to hold the fort and record on his own like a big boy. So he invited his good friend Darren over to mostly chat about a book he has written for his son Jackson, and some of the huge challenges Darren and his family have had to face over the last few years. Darren has also mixed this in to a top 5 about facts about psychological disorders and the law that people aren't probably aware of.HARDCORE LISTING:BECOME A PATRON AND PICK YOUR OWN TOP 5HARDCORE LISTING ON TWITTER HARDCORE LISTING ON INSTACOME LEAVE US A ROTTEN 5 STAR REVIEW ON FACEBOOKSPONSORS:LOVE BEERBANG BOOM CREATIVESTORE:REDSHIFT REBELS STORE See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Sara Whiffen loves to shop, but was running out of room in her closet. Applying the sales model she saw in the auto industry to fashion, Whiffen devised a way to keep her wardrobe looking fresh. Her tech startup Rohvi helps retailers like Amy Gardner, owner of fashion boutique Scarpa, give customers a way to affordably refresh their looks by returning previously worn items for store credit. Hear how the partnership is a win-win for both retailers and customers on this episode of Retail Gets Real. Learn more at www.nrf.com.

Hello and welcome to Episode 26 of the MOOD SWINGS podcast. This week's episode was recorded on my very recent trip to London. On Friday I nipped out to Grays in Essex to the Whiff Inn to record with Stu Whiffen and Christopher Glasson of Hardcore Listing, a podcast which features a whole bunch of top 5 lists from Chris, Stu and their guests. Over a couple of gluten free vegan lagers we discussed music, mindfulness, social media, Shane Meadows and of course mental health. Massive thanks to Chris and Stu for coming on the show! You can go right ahead and multiply that welcome by 3, ladies and gentlemen, for this is episode 107 of the Distraction Pieces Podcast - but not only that - listen very closely and you'll hear a bottle being struck open and a can going >KSHHH< in the distance - it's another DrunkCast! This is the fourth time we join Pip, Stu and Chris down in the Whiff Inn (Stu's pub - surname Whiffen - you get it), and it's textbook goodness from the inebriated gang as always and it's only part 1! First of all, go and find Limp Bizkit's 'Break Stuff', put it on repeat, and sit back as we join in on a good hour or so of MMA / UFC banter, famous/infamous tribute acts, Pip's favourite film Say Anything, a heavy and rough vehicular run-in on a dark night in London, a very touching Glastonbury (which I think Chris missed a trick on by not referring to it as 'Glassonbury' but, there we go) and the Queen on high Cyndi Lauper. ALSO - listen to the podcast for the question, BUT address your answers to #SAYDRUNKCAST. Good... See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Leeann Whiffen's son Clay was about 16 months old when she started noticing a change in his behavior. His normal, happy disposition and language skills were suddenly replaced with a lack of eye contact and severe tantrums. It didn’t take long for doctors to diagnose Clay with autism. And soon after the diagnosis, Leeann found herself on a journey to find, and fight for, the treatments that would eventually lead to his recovery. Now she’s the author of the hit book A Child’s Journey Out Of Autism, and is fighting to pass legislation that will force insurance companies to pay for necessary treatments to help autism. And in this audio, you’ll hear all about her incredible story. According to Leeann, early detection and treatment is absolutely critical for recovery to be a possibility. But fortunately, there are a lot of resources available for parents to turn to, if you know where to look. And this interview will tell you how to get started. This is an exclusive interview from Michael Senoff's www.hardtofindseminars.com.
