Play Episode Listen Later Apr 5, 2023 13:52

Hi everyone! It's been a while. The last few months have been crazy. Like many others, I've been struggling with major senioritis and trying to regain balance in my life, but it's been really hard. For a while, I lost the motivation to do absolutely anything, which was difficult because of my extracurricular involvement. This slacking off and lack of motivation only made my mental health worse, until I realized how important it was to step back because of my extreme burnout. I know it can be hard, but I'm here to let you know this is absolutely normal! Take this time for yourself, you've worked so hard, and now's the time to enjoy and have fun! At the same time, I understand that there's a LOT of anxiety in regard to the future. As someone who deals with anxiety, this is a thought I battle with every day. I don't want to leave my friends or family behind, but I know it is inevitable. It's hit me that college will be far away, and that does make me emotional. Perhaps the biggest takeaway I can provide is that sometimes we just need to let go of things we can't control. I've started to live by YOLO! For me, that means letting go of my fears and just living in the moment. Carpe diem...... I hope you tune in!
