She teaches me the importance of and how to find the joyful moments in the little everyday things. One of the biggest challengers to living in the present moment are digital distractions. In this episode, I chat with Palak Dave, Founder and CEO of Embiria – a movement and membership community designed to help people slow down and savor life, about this very issue. “I think you have to do what is kind of right for you and your soul,” says Palak Patel. In this episode, Lindsay Pinchuk talks with Palak, a culinary star who has made significant strides in the food industry. Palak shares her journey from leaving a stable corporate job to pursuing her passion for cooking, which led her to culinary school and eventually the Food Network. There, she competed on Chopped and emerged victorious, beat Bobby Flay, and became a finalist on Food Network Star Season 14.Palak's story highlights the impact of following your passion and the opportunities that arise from taking bold risks. She recounts key moments in her career, from her initial reluctance to compete on Chopped to how winning the show opened numerous doors. Despite setbacks like the pandemic disrupting her plans to open a restaurant in New York City's Hudson Yards, Palak continues to grow and adapt.Beyond her TV success, Palak is also an accomplished author. Her cookbook, “Food is Love: Plant-Based Indian-Inspired Recipes to Feel Joy and Connection,” reflects her deep connection to food and her cultural heritage. She emphasizes the importance of authenticity, staying true to one's values, and building a personal brand that aligns with one's beliefs. This episode of Dear FoundHer… explores the challenges and rewards of being a public figure in the culinary world, the importance of community, and the impact of meaningful partnerships. Palak's journey is a reminder that it's never too late to pursue your dreams and that the experiences and setbacks along the way add depth to your story.Quotes“Food is Love” represents the culmination of my entire relationship with food. When I began writing this book two years ago, I started to dig deep into what I wanted to bring to the cookbook. It is an extension of me and reflects the idea that food is one of the ultimate connectors in our lives—it's been that way since the dawn of time. Food is a beautiful way to get to know someone and express how you feel.” (12:55 | Palak Patel)“Whenever I'm looking at partnerships or long-term engagements with brands, it's definitely about alignment. It's similar to selling a service: does this match my value system? Does the brand align with the things that are important to me? And do we have similar goals?” (16:39 | Palak Patel) “Staying true to what you stand for and knowing what aligns with your guardrails and what falls outside of them is really important.” (19:30 | Palak Patel)Connect with Palak Patel:https://www.chefpalakpatel.com/https://www.instagram.com/chefpalak/Get on the Dear FoundHer... email list for more: https://lindsaypinchuk.myflodesk.com/foundherfridaysGrab some time with Lindsay to build and grow your business. PSC Partners Seeking a Cure is pleased to present Living With PSC, a podcast moderated by Niall McKay. Each month, this podcast explores the latest research and knowledge about primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC), a rare liver disease. From patient stories, to the latest research updates from PSC experts, to collaborations that are necessary to find better treatments and a cure, this podcast has it all! In episode 39 of the Living with PSC Podcast, Host Niall McKay has an in-depth conversation with Dr. Palak Trivedi, BSc (hons), MBBS, MRCP Gastro (UK), PhD, Associate Professor, and Honorary Consultant Hepatologist, University of Birmingham, UK. They talk about the recurrence of PSC in people who have received a liver transplant. They also discuss the differences between PSC and PBC, clinical trials searching for treatments and a cure, studies exploring the cause of PSC, and how IBD, particularly colitis, may reduce the risk of post-transplant recurrence. "In retrospective studies, our group and others around the world have found that people who have colitis and have had their large bowel removed (and have kept their stoma), lower their risk of developing recurrence of PSC," says Dr. Trivedi.

If you want to build a rental portfolio, you need to know how to scale the right way. Buying a property every year or two is good, but it won't give you the financial freedom you desire. However, if you know how to double, triple, or quadruple the amount of real estate you're acquiring without adding tons of tasks (or stress) to your plate, you could be financially independent faster than you've ever thought. This is precisely what Niti Jamdar & Palak Shah did, building a ten-million-dollar real estate portfolio in less than a decade. As two burnt-out corporate workers, Niti and Palak were tired of putting their jobs before their future family. So after having children, they realized it was time to start building something that would help them regain their freedom instead of shackling them to golden handcuffs. With a busy schedule and little time, Niti and Palak were forced to automate, delegate, and systematize their real estate business. And now, you can copy their exact steps. In their newest book, Accelerate Your Real Estate: Build a Hands-Off Rental Portfolio with the SCALE Strategy, Niti and Palak uncover the five-step system to unlock eight-figure wealth. They used this same strategy to build their portfolio with little free time or money to throw at projects. In this episode, they'll review these five BRRRR-inspired steps, explain why today's market isn't what most people think it is, and debunk the myths that'll stop you from investing. In This Episode We Cover: The five-step “SCALE” system Niti and Palak used to build an eight-figure portfolio  Quitting corporate to find financial freedom, start a family, and build wealth  BRRRRing in 2023 and why the Buy, Rehab, Rent, Refinance, Repeat strategy isn't dead Investing with high mortgage rates and why inexperienced investors are wrong about them Outsourcing, delegating, and how to run a HUGE portfolio without any employees  Real estate myths that stop you from building wealth (and how to get around them) And So Much More!
