“The Vine” John 15 Main Point: John 15 gives us a blueprint for ministry by telling us about the results of the Gospel Message Christ calls us to... ABIDE (v.1-8) True faith always produces true fruit. We cannot bear fruit without Christ - it comes from abiding in Him. A life without fruit is a life without Christ. LOVE (v. 9-17) Love is a result of keeping Christ's commands. Love is demonstrated in sacrifice. We love Him because He loved us. WITNESS (v. 18-27) The world will hate you. The world will hate the Gospel The Holy Spirit will testify.

The Great Commandment Mathew 22:34-40 The enemy will trap you if he can 34 But when the Pharisees heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered themselves together. 35 One of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” Gods truth is our best defense Our first priority is to love God - The Great Commandment 37 And He said to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 “This is the great and foremost commandment. Our second priority is to love people - The second Great Commandment 39 “The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ The world can see what we believe 40 “On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”
