There's more to wealth than your finances. True wealth also includes things like your health, relationships, and how you spend your time. For Anita Heidema, a rich life means homecooked meals and regular trips to Italy–and she's built her business around that lifestyle. Anita is a mindset coach and business strategist for entrepreneurs who want to live successful, powerful, and passionate lives. She is the creator of the RichLifeBiz System and the Getaway to Find Your Way travel program. Anita and her partner Chef Dario Tomaselli co-created the O'Live Your Life lifestyle brand, where they host culinary retreats in Tuscany. Creating a Business Around Your Lifestyle Anita and Dario have intentionally created a business that serves their life values. Early in their relationship, they were busy with work–Anita with her business and Dario with his job as a chef. They wanted more time together, to cook and eat with friends, and to live the slower Mediterranean lifestyle that Dario grew up with in Italy. O'Live Your Life was both a business opportunity and a way for them to live that ideal life. Their retreats combine Dario's love of cooking with Anita's mindset coaching to create a transformative experience for their guests. They also offer team-building classes and culinary events.  When they're not in Italy, Anita and Dario bring the Mediterranean lifestyle to their North American clients. You don't need to cross the ocean to relax, enjoy time with friends and family, or cook a healthy meal–you can do those things from anywhere in the world. What Does Your Rich Life Look Like? For Anita, having a rich life goes beyond finances. It means feeling wealthy in every area of your life: love, relationships, health, work, and faith.  In the Mediterranean culture, relationships come first. So for Anita and Dario, living a rich life meant rearranging their businesses to prioritize time together. It means slowing down to appreciate the life and business they've created. Enjoy this episode with CEO Anita Heidema… Quotes “I called it Getaway to Find your Way because when you travel you open yourself up to self-discovery.” “There's so many unique things to do and life is an adventure.” “What does your subconscious mind say that you really want as opposed to what you see other people doing out there and jumping on the bandwagon?” “It's a brand that connects people.” “It's about inspiring people to do what they want in their life.” “It's about being together and that connection.” Links mentioned in this episode: O'Live Your Life Meditteranean Lifestyle: https://oliveyourlife.org/  Anita's website: https://anitaheidema.com/  Send Anita's team an email: info@anitaheidema.com  Connect with Anita on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/anitaheidema/

At various points in our journey, it's normal to experience periods of stagnation, where we feel stuck and unsure of how to move forward. Whether it's in your career, relationships, personal growth, or any other aspect of life, feeling stuck is a common challenge. In this blog, we'll explore some actionable steps to help you break free from that feeling and find your way forward.   1. Self-Reflection: The first step to overcoming feeling stuck is self-reflection. Take time to introspect and ask yourself why you feel this way. What aspects of your life are causing this sense of stagnation? Identifying the root causes is crucial to finding solutions.   2. Set Clear Goals: Once you've pinpointed the areas where you feel stuck, set clear and achievable goals. These goals will provide direction and purpose, giving you something to work towards. Whether it's a career goal, a fitness milestone, or a personal development objective, having targets can reinvigorate your sense of purpose.   3. Break Down Your Goals: Sometimes, the enormity of our goals can make us feel overwhelmed. Break them down into smaller, manageable steps. This not only makes the journey less daunting but also allows you to celebrate small victories along the way.   4. Seek Inspiration: Read books, listen to podcasts, or watch documentaries related to your area of interest. Learning from others who have overcome similar challenges can be incredibly motivating. Inspiration can come from unexpected sources, so keep an open mind.   5. Learn Something New: Feeling stuck often occurs when we're in our comfort zones. Challenge yourself by learning a new skill or pursuing a new hobby. Exploring the unfamiliar can reignite your curiosity and passion for life.   6. Connect with Others: Don't underestimate the power of human connection. Share your feelings with friends, family, or a therapist. They can provide valuable perspectives, offer support, and help you brainstorm solutions.   7. Practice Mindfulness: Mindfulness meditation can help you stay present and reduce anxiety about the future. It promotes self-awareness and can provide clarity on your values and priorities.   8. Take Care of Your Well-being: Physical and mental well-being are intertwined. Ensure you're getting enough exercise, sleep, and a balanced diet. When your body and mind are in good shape, you'll be better equipped to face life's challenges.   9. Embrace Change: Change is an inevitable part of life. Instead of resisting it, learn to embrace change as an opportunity for growth. Sometimes, the most profound personal transformations happen during times of change and uncertainty.   10. Seek Professional Help: If you're feeling persistently stuck and it's affecting your mental health, consider seeking professional help from a therapist or counselor. They can provide you with strategies and support tailored to your specific situation.   Feeling stuck in life is a common experience, but it doesn't have to be a permanent one. By engaging in self-reflection, setting clear goals, seeking inspiration, and taking care of your well-being, you can break free from stagnation and move toward a more fulfilling and purpose-driven life. Remember that the journey to finding your way forward may have its ups and downs, but each step brings you closer to a brighter future.

Some folks are just a natural for this show. Nashville-based veteran singer/songwriter Tim Easton (https://www.timeaston.com/) certainly fits the bill. A renowned tunesmith, Easton has lived a quintessential troubadour life—busking in Europe and living in L.A., New York, and many places in between. Now calling Nashville home, Tim is back with a new album Find Your Way. Tim's solo work dates back to the late 90s, back when the major labels bet big that so-called alt.country or Americana would be the next thing. In this episode of For Songs Singles, Tim talks about how those big bets never paid off. We cover quite a bit here, but mostly we discuss the first single from the album, the ethereal title track Find Your Way. The song deals with a life-changing near-miss traffic incident, caused by Tim being a bit under the influence. Tim opens up about how the incident caused him to reevaluate his lifestyle. We also discuss his career and influences, and long-time listeners of this show will appreciate Tim's love of both the Clash and Johnny Cash, the Louvin Brothers and Elvis Costello. So sit back and enjoy as Tim Easton joins me for For Songs.

Mike Wine has struggled with addiction throughout his life. He has faced adversity time and time again. The sudden death of the love of his life, his oldest son also died in a tragic accident at 15, he also claims to have attended more friends funerals than friends weddings, and his own battles with addiction nearly took his life as well. When asked who Mike Wine would be without addiction, he states, "someone who would have achieved most or all of his dreams." His hope is that his story can save at least one person from going down a similar path. Through all of the struggle, his music has never stopped. Shame is an emotional experience that confirms our biggest insecurities. S*x is a sacred space that requires us to be naked physically, emotionally and spiritually. We don't want to think of shame here, rather we decide that s*x "should" be: passionate, spontaneous, simple yet, s*x with your intimate partner can trigger shame. Join us today as we discuss the reasons why we can feel shame around physical intimacy. George and Laurie lead listeners through a valuable conversation on what parts of an individual become exposed in this vulnerable place and how to begin to make sense of those internal messages. George reminds us that the antidote to shame is in connection and humans are not meant to face shame in isolation. We explore the deeper attachment themes present and Laurie highlights the dilemma of shame; sharing shame with a loved one increases safety but we need safety to be able to share shame. If a s*xual experience with your partner has ever felt like rejection or failure this episode is a must listen to help you understand how to address the "relationship ouch" and open up a conversation with your partner that is full of healthy relationship risk taking. How much do you enjoy your life? Do you feel as if your emotions have flatlined? In perimenopause, we often feel low, not quite like ourselves, even if there is nothing fundamentally wrong. We have supportive partners and friends, great kids, and a job we enjoy and yet life feels dull and grey. Can you relate? This is anhedonia – a word only a few of us have heard of but one that explains why so many of us feel we are sleepwalking through life. Anhedonia is from the Greek word for 'without pleasure' and describes a loss of interest in activities you once enjoyed. It explains why many of us spend our lives in a fog, feeling neither happy nor sad, just not very much at all. This week my guest is British author and journalist Tanith Carey who joins me to talk about the missing grey area in mental health - blah- where too many mid-life women are living their lives.Great news is that midlife women don't have to accept this as the status quo. Blah has a range of biological and environmental reasons that can be tackled to live up to your potential. Simple awareness that 'blah' is 'a thing' is the first step to addressing through a range of approaches and putting together a toolbox of resources that works for you. With the help of world-leading experts and by digging into the latest research, Tanith shows you how your brain's dopamine reward system works and provides strategies to help you bring colour back into your life. Specifically, we dive into:* How did Tanith come across anhedonia - and why most of us haven't heard about it?* How did she discover a way out of it - and what has it meant in her life?* How other mid-life women find their reasons for blah - and find a way out of it.This is the episode that will teach you how to kickstart your feel-good chemicals and start loving life again. You can connect with Tanith on Instagram @no_more_blah_book, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn on @tanithcarey Get full access to Heart of Menopause at clarissakristjansson.substack.com/subscribe

In this episode, we're diving into a fundamental but often overlooked aspect of achieving your goals - understanding what you shouldn't do. While working with highly successful individuals, I've noticed a common trait that sets them apart. They excel not just in what they do but in what they refuse to tolerate in their lives. They have a low tolerance for anything that doesn't align with their vision, whether in business, relationships, or personal growth. Think about your own life - your relationships, habits, and thoughts. How many of these truly align with your goals and aspirations? It's essential to recognize that it's not just about what you do; it's about what you consciously choose not to do. Your focus is your power. What you choose to avoid is just as impactful as what you decide to pursue. Take some time to reflect on your own journey. Are there relationships, habits, or thoughts you need to release to embrace your vision fully? Remember, you have a calling, not just a dream, and it's time to earn that experience by having a low tolerance for what doesn't align. - Henry -------------------------------- Request Coaching Info -------------------------------- Social Media Say hi on TikTok Say Hi on Instagram Facebook Group! -------------------------------- Email Me henry@vibeabundant.com -------------------------------- Email List --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/positive-mindset-podcast/support

Every day I hear, endless excuses for why people cannot stick to a fitness program and follow through on their fitness goals.  The meal plan is too hard. The cardio too boring.  They don't have access to a gym. They don't like the food. The list goes on and on.  And it got me thinking. Human beings can endure the most incredible hardships when necessary.  Just ask any mother of a newborn baby who is on an endless cycle of sleepless nights, cracked nipples and emotional exhaustion. But yet she keeps fighting day after day and night after night, caring for her newborn.  So what makes someone endure that kind of pain but not the pain of following through on a fitness program? The answer lies in knowing your why.  When you know your why you will endure anyhow. Your why will quite simply help you find your way.  In this episode, I share my own journey of finding my why. And I hope after listening to it, you will also find your why. Because you are capable of great things, if you can just connect deeply to your reasons for doing it.
