Feeling lost in life, and you don't have a clue how to find yourself again? Start here. This week on the Let's Talk About Mental Health podcast, I'm exploring why feeling lost is not proof that you're broken or failing somehow; often, it's a sign that you've drifted away from your preferences, your values, and your sense of direction. If you're feeling directionless, feeling stuck in life, feeling adrift, or feeling lost and unmotivated, this episode will help you understand what's happening beneath those feelings and what to do when you feel lost. I'll share practical mental health tips to help you stop trying to solve your whole life at once, so you can get the confusion out of your head and learn how to find your way in life one step at a time.Finding yourself again after feeling lost doesn't require some sort of dramatic reinvention; learning how to find yourself again begins with noticing what makes you feel more like you, following the thread of who you have always been, and rebuilding your inner compass through action. Feeling lost in life can feel overwhelming, but you can and will find yourself again one step at a time. It's time to begin finding meaning in life and to discover how to find direction in life without having the entire map.
At Wawasee Bible, Your Pathway is to (1) be ENCOURAGED in your faith, (2) get EQUIPPED for your calling, (3) ENGAGE at Wawasee, and (4) EXTEND the Gospel wherever you live, work, learn, and play. This week Pastor Josh briefly explains each part of that pathway before unpacking why gathering regularly is so important. Hebrews 10:24-25 says it's so that we would stir one another up to love and good works and to encourage one another. There's a path for you at Wawasee that begins with showing up to be encouraged and to encourage others.
Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with Story Prompt Friday and your host, Diane Wyzga. The other day my longtime, dear friend and storytelling galpal, Michelle, asked me if I'd like to take over an expiring domain name. Why would I be interested in that? Because the name, Storywerx, was what we called ourselves, a troupe of storytellers who came together when I offered to teach a semester of story skills. We kept on learning, growing, and eventually performing stories together. I'd not thought about Storywerx in years although a few of us are still in touch. A little older, a little wiser but still storytellers at heart and in practice. I was trying to remember a story that a gentleman in our troupe had told during a Storywerx performance. I vaguely remembered it having something to do with the teller's past. It was a story about an orphan boy who brought a stone to life. Here's a secret: the more you get to know a storyteller and listen to the stories she is telling, the more you will get to understand her life and why that story is being told at that time. Meanwhile, leave it to Michelle to know what I was searching for. I'd like to share the story with you as we walk each other home. Once upon a time there lived a little orphan boy who was so lonely and so hungry that no one wanted to be near him. His mouth was always open, his teeth were always showing and his tears were always flowing down his cheeks. He was such a wild child—wild with hunger and loneliness—that the people in that village had to tie him down at the entrance to one of the skin houses so that he would not try to eat the hunters on their way to the seal hunt. That's how hungry he was. Sometimes the people of that village would leave him bits of reindeer or seal meat but nothing would satisfy his hunger. As we know it was something more than hunger that was gnawing at him: those deep needs that not even the person themselves understands. Every day the boy stretched his chain a little bit more and a little bit more until he could get near a smooth round stone that was about his size. You see, his mother and father had died one night and their bodies dragged off by bears. All that had been left behind in the skin house where they all had lived was this one large stone. In time the boy got close enough to that stone, so close he was able to wrap his arms and his legs around it and would not let go. Of course his people thought the child had become quite mad. On their way from the hunt with animal carcasses slung over their shoulders they would jeer at him. They would say look and say: Annuk has taken a stone for a wife! It's good for you to have a wife who is a stone so you cannot use your hunger to eat her. The boy was so hungry and so lonely that he finally reached the end of feeling for his life. He kept his body wrapped around that stone and the stone began to take the heat from his body. The boy began to die as the stone took the heat from his hands, from his legs, and even the heat from his face where he rested it on the stone. Just as the boy was living his last breath the hunters of that village came by on their way home from the hunt. Again they shouted to him, Boy! You are like a bird nesting with that stone like it's an egg. We should call you Bird Boy! You are good for nothing. Near death the boy shed great icy tears that rolled down his cheeks and those cold cold tears hit the hot hot stone with a hiss and a crack and the stone broke open. Inside was the most perfect little girl the boy could ever want. She said, I am here for you now. You are an orphan no more. She gave him a bow and arrows and a harpoon. The boy and the girl made their house, raised a family and if they are not yet dead they are in that land where the snow is violet and the night sky is black. They are living still. Story Prompt: Recall a time when you felt at your lowest ebb and yet a deep intuition sensed that the darkest hour is just before dawn. And with the dawn would come what you needed to find your way back home. Write that story and share it as you will because we are all walking each other home. When Values Meet Reality: Navigating the Gap Between Ideals and Practice to find your way to ImpactWe often join organizations, clubs, workplaces, and communities because we are inspired by their mission, vision, and values. Yet sooner or later, we discover a gap between the ideals they aspire to and the reality we experience. How should we respond when that happens? In this video, we explore why this gap exists, how to distinguish between imperfection and misalignment, and why extending grace can be an important part of participating in any human system. Rather than viewing the gap between values and reality as a reason to disengage, we consider how it can become an opportunity to contribute, influence, and create meaningful impact. If you've ever found yourself disappointed by an organization, community, workplace, or cause you deeply believed in, this conversation is for you.#missionimpossible #values #ideals #alignment #purpose

No one is coming to tell you when it's time to take the next step. No one is going to tell you that you have to do it scared. It's you and your life. And the difference between living a mundane one and an extraordinary one… is what you choose to do with that fear. There's no handbook for doing things scared. No moment where it suddenly makes perfect sense. No signal telling you your body is ready. So you do it anyway. You do it scared. Because you are one decision, one risk, one month away from a dream life. And it could be this moment, the one you're hesitating in right now, that changes everything for the better. And if it was, I know you would do it. Welcome to the Personal Development Trailblazers Podcast! In today's episode, we're talking about how to carry your grief well so you can move through it. Robert DelFave is a grief coach, podcaster, and author. He lost his dad at 15 and his mom at 26. For years, he carried that quietly—the way most people do—while building a career and a life that looked fine from the outside. What eventually changed everything was a conversation with someone who had actually been through real loss and didn't flinch. That moment became the foundation of everything he does now.Today, he runs DelFave Coaching, a one-on-one grief coaching practice built around the belief that grief isn't a problem to solve; it's something you learn to carry well. He is also finishing his first book, The Other Side of This, written specifically for grieving teenagers. He hosts the Unparented podcast and is building his practice alongside a full-time senior leadership role, which means everything he has built has been intentional, lean, and in the margins.Connect with Robert Here: https://www.linkedin.com/in/robertdelfavehttps://robertdelfave.com/Threads: @robertdelfavePodcast: Unparented — available on all major platformsGrab the freebie here: Not Alone (5-Day Audio Guide)https://robertdelfave.com/===================================If you enjoyed this episode, remember to hit the like button and subscribe. Where does ambition really come from? Joe and his cohost dive deep into the messy reality behind entrepreneurial success—from studying 15 seconds at a time on the assembly line to scaling Go Brewing while implementing new systems with a lean team. They explore why 'work-life balance' is BS for entrepreneurs, how spite can fuel success, and why the path that looks clean from the outside is actually dirty and chaotic behind the scenes. Plus: why becoming obsessed beats building habits, and the liberating realization that no one actually cares about your journey as much as you think they do. Real talk about finding your own way in business and life.

Is everybody's work equally valuable and important? How you can tell the difference. I respect all humans who behave consistently with being created in the image of God but do I respect all career choices, occupations, and professions equally? No, of course not, and neither do you. The one key things to bear in mind when choosing a career path. What quality athlete Usain Bolt shares with an oil rig worker and a dentist. What a professor of race and gender shares with a graffiti artist. A surprising number of people think the moon landing in 1969 was a hoax but what actual benefits did it really yield? Do you know what a black hole is? Do you care? Do you know what a dental implant is? Do you care? Most things you care about came about because of microscopes; seldom telescopes. Take a look at our Financial Prosperity Collection - www.wehappywarriors.com/financial-prosperity-collection. Why you probably respect mechanics and musicians more than astrophysicists and artists? After experiencing heartbreak, job loss, or significant disappointment, we're often encouraged to "move on." While well-intentioned, this advice often overlooks the truth that healing is a journey—one that takes time to transform wounds into wisdom. The encouraging news is that as we heal, each moment offers fresh opportunities to move forward, grow, and create new beginnings. This previously aired episode feels especially timely for the moment—tune in for an inspiring take on finding hope and renewal. Hello beautiful souls! Neal Allan is back! At the end of our last interview, he stopped me and said, "Julie, you didn't ask me about angels. I'd love to come back and talk about angels!" Today we are talking about angels and so much more! I truly feel that this episode is the epitome of how each of us finds our way through life, but how we can do so in a way where life can become, more so, Heaven on Earth. I love the line in his book where Neal says, "My only job is to be fascinated!" Perhaps we should all look at life that way. It would surely remove the pressure and heaviness of life if we all simply said, "Our only job is to be fascinated by life."
