The crew recaps Les Rouges' World Cup, and discusses the impact of the CSA and the lack professional infrastructure in the country.  With the Women's World Cup expanding to 32 teams, we have seen many historical firsts at this tournament, we discuss those stories and highlight the incredible of Nigeria and Jamaica. Welcome back to Hangin' Cleats, The crew kicks off their World Cup coverage following Canada's victory against Ireland. After tying Nigeria 0-0 in the opening match of the group stage, Canada came from behind to score two unanswered goals with the winning coming from Adriana Leon. We recap both matches, and preview Les Rouges' clash against World Cup host Australia. With Nigeria securing 3 points, the final day in Group B is set to be interesting.  Take a listen.

The tournament favourite was knocked out in their quarterfinal matchup against Croatia via penalties. Coach Tite stepped down following the match, leaving questions as to who could replace him. Welcome Back to Hangin' Cleats, In this episode we have a conversation with Carl Rose. In 1975, Mr. Carl Rose was the first person of colour to represent Canada Soccer's National Teams in a competitive match After making his international debut in July, Carl Rose represented Canada at the 1975 Pan American Games in Mexico, featuring in matches against Jamaica and Argentina. A year later, he represented Canada at the Montréal 1976 Olympic Football Tournament and featured against the Soviet Union at Olympic Stadium.

Welcome Back to Hangin' Cleats, After beating Mexico 2-1 in Edmonton, Canada is now at the top of the table in World Cup Qualifiers. In their third matchup against El Tri, Cyle Larin scored two goals past Ochoa. The match was played in Edmonton, Alberta in front of a crowd of more than 40,000 fans. Canada will now rest until the new year where they play their final 6 matches of world cup qualification.

With only the top 3 teams making it directly to the world cup, every game in CONCACAF is crucial. So far, Canada has taken a draw against Honduras at home and the United States in Nashville. They will now El Salvador at BMO Field, in what is widely viewed as a must win game. The match went on to penalties where Canada had previously experienced success against Brazil. Welcome back to Hangin' Cleats. Today's episode is a recap of the crazy week surrounding Canadian soccer. On Thursday evening, Canada faced Mexico in a gold cup semifinal Matchup. The match got chippy very quick, Mexico was given a penalty in the first half but that did not face the Men's team as they battled their way back.  In the Olympics, Team Canada faced elimination in their match against Brazil. The game went the distance as both teams could not be separated by regular time or extra time, penalties followed and Canada delivered.

With a 1-1 tie, the team advances to the next round where they will play Brazil.  Their recent game saw the introduction of every outfield player on the 22 player roster. Bev Prietman rested many of her starters including Christine Sinclair and Desiree Scott.

Welcome Back to Hangin' Cleats. In this episode the crew recaps Canada's latest game against Chile in the Olympics. Canada went on to win the match 2-1 with 2 goals from Janine Beckie. The game also saw the Olympic debut of Julia Grosso and Jayde Rivière. They now play heavyweights Great Britain in their final match of the group stage.  We then go on to discuss Canada's Quarterfinal victory against Costa Rica. Last time Canada made it to the semi finals was in 2007. Junior Hoilett and Stephen Eustaquio  both got on the scoreboard. Canada will now face Mexico in Houston, Texas.

In this episode we introduce our new co-host Khadyja Claxton who will be helping us cover the Olympics. Canada drew their first match against Host Country Japan in the Sapporo Dome. Christine Sinclair got an early goal in the 6th minute but Canada could not hold on to the lead as Japan leveled the score. They will play Chile in their next match. At the Gold Cup, Canada will play Costa Rica in the Quaterfinals. John Herdman will be facing the injuries strikers Ayo Akinola and Cyle Larin. We also cover Toronto FC as they return to BMO Field and Jozy Altidore's relationship with the fans. Futhermore we have a few updates on Manchester United.

After taking an early lead with a goal from Luke Shaw, Italy's Bonucci brought things level and the game went to extra time.  Gareth Southgate subbed in Rashford and Sancho at the 119th minute, both attacking players missed their penalties. The responsibility of the 5th penalty fell on the shoulders of 19 year old Saka, who was subbed on at the 70th minute.  With Saka's miss, Italy are international champions for the first time since winning the 2006 World Cup. 

With 50 total matches played, the European Championship final is here. Italy have booked their spot in the finals by continuing their winning streak of 6 matches in the tournament, while England have utilized their defensive tactics to only only concede 1 goal in the euros.  The last time Italy won a major tournament was the 2006 infamous world cup final against France. England has not reached a major tournament final since 1966.  The final will take place on Sunday at Wembley stadium.  In this episode we also discuss the sacking of head coach Chris Armas at Toronto FC and the Copa America Final (Argentina vs Brazil).

  The final 8 teams have been set. The round of 16 saw the exit of Portugal, France, Germany, Ukraine, Netherlands, Wales, Austria and Croatia.  With a win against Germany, England has clear path to the finals, while #1 Belgium will have to face Italy in their next matchup. How will things shape up in the next round?

We are about a week into the 2020 Euros and a lot has happened.  In this episode we update you on the opening games of the group stages and take you through some monumental moments such as Cristiano Ronaldo leading the all time scoring list and Patrik Schick's wonder goal.   We also have a deep conversation on the medical emergency of Denmark's Christian Eriksen and the reports that UEFA pressured players to restart the match.  Last but not least, we discuss the history making Friday night for the Canadian Men's national team. After a total of 10 days, 4 games and 4 wins, Canada has qualified for the octagons for the first time in 24 years. We look ahead at the gold cup and the ways John Herdman can prepare his squad for the final rounds of World Cup qualifying.

The star-studded England squad is also analyzed as many fans fear head coach Gareth Southgate, will not get the best out of his roster.
