There's a new member of Craig Forrest's "I conceded 9 goals in a game once" club! Liverpool put nine past Bournemouth's Mark Travers on Saturday, adding the 23 year-old Irishman to a list of goalkeepers that only includes our beloved Craig and two Southampton keepers that have picked the ball out of the back of their own net nine times in a Premier League game. Craig had no shortage of things to talk about with Brendan Dunlop and Dan Wong. Any concern for Liverpool's season after Monday's loss at Old Trafford dissolved Saturday faster than Manchester City took control of their visit from Crystal Palace, as Erling Haaland bagged his first hat-trick in a Man City shirt, and his 13th league triple. He's only 22 years old. How terrifying is that? Dunny is worried about Steven Gerrard after Aston Villa dropped the Dunlop-Forrest derby, losing 1-0 to West Ham. Tottenham and Arsenal have the crew thinking the Top 4 picture won't look clear until spring time. Wonger wants access to all the GPS tracking bibs that agents never want other clubs to see, and wishes Craig had the opportunity to play on the pristine pitches today's players enjoy. We hope you enjoy Dunny's Italian impersonations and his explanation of Portugal's banned name list.    Toronto FC did the double over Charlotte FC with another goal each from designated players Lorenzo Insigne and Federico Bernardeschi. CF Montreal firmly have their hands on an MLS Cup Playoff spot, while Lucas Cavallini lost his head against Nashville SC as the Vancouver Whitecaps desperately try to stay in the playoff hunt out west.       The Premier League has a new home in Canada this season: FuboTV. Friend of the show, Jonathan Osorio joined James Sharman, Craig Forrest, Brendan Dunlop and producer Dan Wong on this week's interview series episode. The 30 year-old is having quite the season for both club and country and shared insights into what it's been like at Toronto FC since the arrivals of Lorenzo Insigne, Federico Bernadeschi and Domenico Criscito. Oso talks about the impact the Italians have had on the team, the benefits and challenges he's found in adapting his own game through the ups and downs of this season, how excited he is to play alongside Richie Laryea again, and the belief the squad has as the team heads in to the most important stretch of the MLS regular season. You might be surprised to learn who has control of the music in the change room.    Sharms refuses to talk about Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace, or Darwin Núñez's red card. And the crew celebrated Craig Forrest on the 30th anniversary of the first ever Premier League game by quizzing him to name as many of the 22 players that were on the pitch that day when Ipswich Town played Aston Villa to a 1-1 draw. Craig impressed himself by how sharp his memory was.    The Premier League has a new home in Canada this season: FuboTV. Don't miss a second of the action! No shortage of storylines from the second weekend of the Premier League season! Brendan Dunlop, Craig Forrest and Jimmy Brennan start with Tottenham's stoppage time comeback at Stamford Bridge that saw managers Antonio Conte and Thomas Tuchel pulled off each other. They debate whether Chelsea v Tottenham is now the Prem's best rivalry, highlight where it went wrong for Chelsea in the second half and credit Harry Kane and Spurs for a comeback that made Kalidou Koulibaly's worldie feel like it was a week ago. Manchester United fans won't be able to forget Saturday's capitulation at Brentford soon enough. Producer Dan Wong was absolutely buzzing seeing his Bees pull off one of the most unexpected upsets in Premier League history. Things are so bad at Old Trafford that the club are reportedly exploring their options to terminate Cristiano Ronaldo's contract. Jimmy & Craig explain how difficult that actually is and why it would be a bad move for United.   Nottingham Forest's first Premier League win at home over Forrest's West Ham has Jimmy over the moon, and the crew debate whether Arsenal can keep up this form to contend for a Top 4 spot come the end of the season. The massive money spent on Lorenzo Insigne and Federico Bernardeschi has paid off as Toronto FC pulled off a late win over Portland Timbers, on the same night CF Montreal survive the heat in Houston. What a time to be a Major League Soccer fan! Brendan Dunlop, Craig Forrest and Jimmy Brennan had a lot to recap as James Sharman returned from vacation at just the right moment to witness Lorenzo Insigne and Federico Bernardeschi's Toronto FC debut - although Sharman's jealousy over Jimmy & Dunny's Beer Fest stories is clearer than a calorie conscious light beer. The crew marvelled over the immediate impact the Italian duo made on a TFC team that sits 5 points out of a playoff spot with 12 MLS games to play this season. If Saturday's 4-0 win over Charlotte FC was just the appetizer, it's going to be one special meal! Gareth Bale's first goal for LAFC and Xherdan Shaqiri's dagger against the Vancouver Whitecaps put the bow on a wild MLS Saturday night.    Forrest and Jimmy relive the most haunting moments from their playing careers, much to the amusement of producer Dan Wong. Sharms is not a fan of pre-season tours trying to replicate meaningful games and gets into a hilariously heated exchange with Dunny about El Clásico in Las Vegas. Erling Haaland's Manchester City debut at Lambeau Field in Green Bay is discussed, as is Arsenal's hot start to the pre-season and Thomas Tuchel's frustration with Chelsea's summer transfer window. The crew also make another athletic challenge, putting Jimmy and Craig on the spot to pick the best squad amongst the six of them to win a 3v3 mini game, at a yet to be determined soccer field not near you.  Presenters: James Sharman, Craig Forrest, Jimmy Brennan, Brendan Dunlop and Dan Wong Voice Over Talent: Jeff Cole This podcast has content that may use words and share tales that offend, please feel free to use your best discretion.  Parental discretion is advised. Lana Del Rey's hit song “Summertime Sadness” could've been the anthem for Toronto FC fans driving home from BMO Field Saturday night, and anyone that still doesn't have reliable internet service. The expected debut of Lorenzo Insigne was delayed for two weeks, and TFC conceded in stoppage time to draw the San Jose Earthquakes 2-2. But as Brendan Dunlop, Craig Forrest and Jimmy Brennan discuss, brighter days are ahead for Jimmy's old club as TFC pulled off a trade to land midfielder Mark-Anthony Kaye from the Colorado Rapids in exchange for Ralph Priso, and loads of TAM/GAM cash. At the match as a fan, Jimmy is reminded of how aggressive he was as a player by San Jose's Shea Salinas.   The Canadian women's national team punched their ticket to the 2023 FIFA Womens World Cup in Australia and New Zealand by reaching the semi-final stage at the CONCACAF W Championship. The crew take credit for Julia Grosso's emergence as a prolific CanWNT goalscorer, since appearing on Footy Prime. Chelsea's £45 million signing of Raheem Sterling from Man City is seen as a win for all parties involved. Gareth Bale and Giorgio Chiellini experience El Tráfico from the sidelines, and Jimmy & Craig explain why European players are so attracted to the North American lifestyle. What a summer it's been for Toronto FC, and the European transfer window isn't even closed yet! James Sharman, Craig Forrest, Jimmy Brennan and Brendan Dunlop react to the reports that TFC have traded designated player and 2020 MLS MVP Alejandro Pozuelo to Inter Miami, to make room for the expected signing of Juventus attacker Federico Bernardeschi on a free transfer. And with defender Carlos Salcedo expected to return to Mexico, there could be another DP slot for Bob Bradley and company to fill. Lorenzo Insigne's much anticipated TFC debut has been pushed back with a lingering calf issue ruling the Italian international out of action this weekend.    Sharms puts Jimmy and Craig on the spot to name the friends they actually enjoyed playing with the most. The crew ponder whether Jesse Lingard would be a better fit for an MLS club or a European club chasing Champions League football, and have some fun with producer Dan Wong for his line of questioning with this week's INTVU guest Trent McClellan. Domenico Criscito arrives at Toronto FC and it sounds like there will be new arrivals at TFC before the summer is over. The crew speculate on which big names may follow Lorenzo Insigne, Gareth Bale and Giorgio Chiellini to Major League Soccer next. They all agree that Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi will play in MLS, but not yet. Romelu Lukaku returns to Inter Milan on loan, and Bayern Munich are linked with a €65 million move for CanMNT forward Jonathan David. Could you imagine David and Alphonso Davies together in the Bundesliga? FIFA World Cup organizers celebrate having sold 1.8 million tickets for this winter's World Cup, with Canadians purchasing a large number of tickets. The crew speculate what their accommodations may look like in Qatar. In this edition of The Napoli Rant, we say goodbye to our hometown boy Lorenzo Insigne.  "Lorenzinho" "Lorenzo il Magnifico" "Capitano". We look back at Insigne's finest moments, we remember what he meant to us and we wish him well as he moves on to Toronto FC.  OH YEAH...THERE WAS A MATCH TOO!!! Napoli defeat Genoa 3-0 at the Maradona, a match that many of our great friends attended.  Osimhen scored an emphatic header, Insigne got himself on the scoresheet in his final match, and Lobotka went coast to coast and scored his first Serie A goal. Oh, and we locked up 3rd, finished over Juventus for the first time in 11 seasons, and we relegated Genoa in the process.  Could our scugnizzo write a better ending? I think not We also briefly look at the final weekend in Serie A with the scudetto on the line and relegation at stake, we look at Serie B promoted teams and promotion playoff, and a special mention of a former Napoli player making waves in the Serie B relegation play-out (HINT: this SUPER player got on his BIKE for this one)!   Far From Vesuvius is proud to be host for the hottest, most INTERACTIVE SSC Napoli show on social media, The Napoli Rant! Milan has closed right in on the Scudetto after a win against Atalanta, needing only a draw next week at Sassuolo to secure the Serie A title. The crowd at San Siro even had Nicky and Mina singing "Pioli's On Fire!". But Inter and Simone Inzaghi are not giving up just yet, taking the season down to the wire after a win at Cagliari, as the manager knows that anything can happen on the final day of a crazy season. Regardless of final day miracles, how do we rate Inter's season? Lorenzo Insigne's grandiose farewell from Napoli came complete with a life-size trophy and a do-over penalty kick as gifts, to ensure that he departed Naples on the scoresheet... only in Serie A! ... in a match which condemned Genoa to Serie B. Will they come straight back up after a season or will it be much harder than that for the Grifoni? Roma rattled the woodwork 4 times against a resilient and already-relegated Venezia, and we preview next week's final day relegation fight with one spot remaining for the dreaded drop.
