And every time, despite all the healing work I've done, I still come back with this heavy feeling: I'm not good enough. I tell myself in advance to stay calm, to let him be who he is, but his words and behavior still reach that little girl inside of me who just wanted to be seen, acknowledged, and appreciated.Do you have someone in your life who still has the power to make you doubt your worth? Someone who can awaken old wounds, no matter how far you've come? This episode is not about blame. It's about compassion. It's about being honest with ourselves and recognizing that healing isn't linear. That old triggers can resurface—and that's okay. What matters is how we respond, how we hold ourselves in love, and how we keep walking forward. You'll hear:Why even deep inner work can't always stop old wounds from risingHow I speak to the little girl in me who still wants to be seenA powerful reminder that your worth is not defined by someone else's inability to see you. What helps me come back to peace after a triggering visitWhy we're never truly alone in thisIf you've ever felt like your light dims around a certain person, this episode is for you. Lately, I've been thinking a lot about space—not the kind between stars, but the space in our homes, in our hearts, and in our minds. After my dear mum passed away, something stirred deep inside me. I felt an urge to declutter—not just the rooms in my house, but the layers of who I used to be. So I started with my wardrobe. It's incredible how much a closet can carry. Skirts I hadn't worn in decades. Blouses from a time when I tried to be perfect for everyone. Pieces that cost too much to throw away… but were costing me peace by staying. Then I asked myself a question I now want to ask you too:Do I really want to keep parts of an identity I've already outgrown?Because the truth is—I've changed. I'm not the stressed-out mum juggling two little boys. I'm not the corporate woman trying to be liked by everyone. I'm someone new. Softer. Wiser. Freer. And I have a feeling you are too.Letting go became a sacred act. That was just the beginning.I walked through my kitchen and asked: “Do I still want to eat from these plates that carry years of old energy?”I opened drawers, sorted through papers and notebooks from seminars I had forgotten. I cleaned the garden pond and cleared the overgrown plants—suddenly, there was room for new life to emerge. Frogs, toads, peace. And all throughout, something in me softened.I felt the joy of becoming again.Of remembering that I am allowed to change. That I don't have to carry everything I once was into the life I'm living now.If you're feeling stuck, unsure, or simply longing for a shift, maybe this is your moment too.BOOKS:

In this episode, I share: My personal struggles as an empath who felt responsible for everyone else's happiness Real-life examples of how I've neglected my needs (like skipping lunch to run errands with my son) Simple strategies I'm using to start putting myself first—and how they're changing my life You'll hear about the small but powerful shifts I've made, like pausing to breathe before rushing to call someone back or giving myself permission to rest before tackling chores. These aren't always easy, but they're worth it. If you're struggling with this too, here's my message for you: Putting yourself first isn't selfish—it's essential. You can't pour from an empty cup. And most importantly, you're not alone. BOOKS:

I have to tell you something that hit me like a lightning bolt during a recent seminar. I was watching two colleagues practice coaching techniques, and I suddenly saw myself in one of them. His name was Benny, and as he opened up about his struggles and doubts, I realized that his inner battle was exactly what I had gone through. Benny wanted to start a men's group—a dream he had held for so long—but self-doubt had stopped him in his tracks. He kept asking, “Who am I to do this? I'm not good enough. There are people way better than me.” Oh, how familiar those words sounded to me!  I saw the Benny in me—the me who, before my first webinar, was riddled with the same doubts. “Who am I to offer this? Who will even listen?” Yet, when I pushed through that fear, stepped out of my comfort zone, and finally hit “Go Live,” guess how I felt? Amazing. So proud. Like I had finally become who I was meant to be. Have you ever felt that way too? You dream of doing something big—something you're meant to do—but those nagging voices of doubt stop you from taking that step forward. It's exhausting, isn't it? Here's what I learned from watching Benny and reflecting on my own journey: we all have the skills and the potential to do what's on our hearts. We just don't always see it in ourselves right away. But sometimes, taking a step back and seeing yourself as an observer can be the key to moving forward. BOOKS:

Do you ever feel like giving up on your dreams? Like maybe it's just too late, or you're not quite good enough? I've been there, too. But today, I want to share something that I hope will inspire you to keep going, no matter what. In this episode, I dive deep into the power of real-life stories and how they can be a guiding light in our darkest moments. I talk about how one of my biggest inspirations, Nelson Mandela, found hope during his 27 years in prison. He discovered light in the darkness through daily journaling and being grateful for even the smallest things. If he could find strength in such dire circumstances, what's stopping us? And then there's a special story close to my heart: my dear swimming colleague, Melanie. She took on a 5k open water race for the first time this year. At first, she felt she was the slowest, with doubts clouding her mind—much like I did last year. But instead of giving up, she found strength in the story I had shared with her about my own experience. She told herself, “If Esther can do it, I can do it, too.” And guess what? She finished strong, even better than I did! These stories remind us that we all have the strength within to push through, even when things seem impossible. And guess what? It's never too late to pursue your dreams. I published my first children's book at 54 and didn't stop there. I didn't listen to those nagging inner voices saying I wasn't good enough, and neither should you! If you're thinking, “What could be so interesting about a tortoise?”—I get it. I used to feel the same way. But this isn't just a story about a tortoise. It's a story about life, love, and what it means to truly be seen. Franklin came into my life unexpectedly, a 50+ year-old tortoise with a history of resilience and strength. At first, I didn't think much of him. Tortoises were my mother's favorite animals, not mine. I've always been a cat person. But as the days turned into weeks and the weeks into months, something changed. I found myself checking on him constantly, making sure he was okay, especially on those hot, sunny days. You see, Franklin had a unique challenge—he couldn't flip himself over if he got turned on his back. And in the heat of the summer sun, this was dangerous. So I made it my mission to protect him, to make sure he was safe. And in doing so, I discovered something profound. Franklin, with his gentle eyes and his determined little walk, taught me the importance of being present. He showed me what it means to feel truly seen, something I didn't even realize I was missing. He'd greet me with his awkward shuffle whenever I was nearby, and in his simple, quiet way, he reminded me of the importance of connection. He made me feel seen. And I realize now how rare and precious that feeling is. We all want to be seen, don't we? To feel recognized and loved for who we are, flaws and all. Franklin taught me that before I can truly see others, I need to see myself. And that means loving myself, even when I mess up, even when I feel like I'm not enough. It's a lesson I'm still learning, and one I want to share with you. Franklin may no longer be with us, but his lessons live on. BOOKS:

Did you know that perfectionism can actually stand in the way of your happiness and success? If you, like me, struggle with the constant need to be better, do more, and achieve more, then this episode is for you. Let's work on this together. What's the one thing you're always pushing yourself to improve and constantly criticizing yourself for not achieving yet? Is it a skill, your profession, your romantic relationship, your health, or your eating habits? Or maybe it's everything all at once? In this episode, I dive into my personal journey of daily growth through meditation, journaling, and listening to podcasts from many teachers. I'm very attentive to how I feel, think, speak to others, and the mental state in which I do things. My goal is to stay in a beautiful, positive state. Do you know how to raise your vibrations? Do you have tools to bring yourself back to a beautiful state? What do you do when your energy level is low, and you want to shift back to positive feelings? For me, listening to joyful music works wonders. Just a minute of it clears my mood, making me feel more positive. Uplifting self-talk is another powerful tool. I remind myself of all the wonderful things in my life: my sons, my parents, my home, my garden, my cats. But as a perfectionist, I always crave more of these beautiful states. I want to feel those high vibrations longer and act from that positive state to see everything fall into place in my life. However, when I lose track and start criticizing myself over something small, it often spirals into a longer period of negative self-talk. I don't want this anymore, and I'm sure you don't either. So, let's work on this together. What question can you ask yourself, or what can you tell yourself to stop going down the rabbit hole of self-blame? We need new habits to create a new identity that allows us to accept our imperfections. For example, consider the cost of self-blame. It steals your joy, happiness, and peace. It poisons your life and the lives of those around you. Do you really want this? Of course not. You want to be a positive role model for your children, a joyful friend, and a supportive coworker. To break free from self-blame, I focus on my heart and breathe consciously. This simple exercise brings me back to the present moment, filling me with joy and peace. BOOKS:

“Do you come from a family where love was or still is conditional? Do you have the feeling that you need to be perfect in order to get love and be accepted?” These questions have been on my mind a lot lately, and I wanted to share some thoughts and personal experiences on this journey of self-acceptance. I've been there—feeling stressed at work, fearing my boss's reprimand, striving to be the perfect partner, and struggling to set boundaries with my kids. Looking back, I see how a lack of self-acceptance and self-confidence held me back. Even after years of therapy and self-work, those old patterns can still resurface. Personal growth isn't a path with a fixed end. It's an ongoing journey, full of discoveries and continuous learning. Just yesterday, I had a flashback to my childhood. I was chosen last for teams in sports class, feeling rejected. This resurfaced during a recent swimming training session when my colleagues made a spontaneous decision to carpool without me. Instantly, I thought something must be wrong with me. But this time, I did something different. I talked to myself with love: "Esther, you're totally okay. I love you, and if some others don't like you, it doesn't matter. The most important thing is that you love yourself." The more I replaced negative feelings with positive ones, the better I felt. After the training, I decided to interact with my swimming mates as if nothing had happened. And it worked. I felt at ease and could enjoy my time with them.  Have you ever had a flashback from your childhood that made you feel rejected and frustrated? It's an awful feeling, isn't it? But here's the truth: You don't have to let those feelings control you. By loving yourself and understanding that others' behaviors often have nothing to do with you, life becomes so much easier. Imagine approaching every person with curiosity and neutrality, knowing that their reactions are about their own experiences, not you. You can reset your feelings anytime, finding peace and positivity. BOOKS:

Have you ever felt like your love for your children or others is just... gone? I did, and it hit me hard. One day, I looked at my two boys and realized our connection was strained. I had fallen into the same trap my mother did. She didn't have the self-confidence to handle my rebellion, and her anger still echoes in my mind. I remember her face, the frustration, and her words, "You're the worst child on earth." That pain stayed with me, and I swore I'd never be like that with my kids. But there I was, feeling devastated when my boys didn't agree with me or show me the affection I craved. Then, something amazing happened. I learned that love isn't transactional. It's not a two-way street where you give to get. Real love starts within. It's about filling yourself with so much love that it overflows to others without expecting anything in return. This was a game-changer for me. Suddenly, my relationships with my sons, now 18 and 20, transformed. I started listening more, being present, and asking how I could support them instead of telling my own stories. Our bond grew stronger, and I could see them for who they are, not just as extensions of my own experiences. I realized that people's reactions often reflect how they feel about themselves, not about you. If someone treats you poorly, it's likely they're struggling with their own issues. Understanding this helped me find compassion even for those who showed me dislike. So, how can you start this journey of self-love? Here are a few tips: 1. Positive Self-Talk: Whenever you catch yourself in negative self-talk, stop and say something kind to yourself. Consistency is key. 2. Be Present: Give your full attention to your loved ones. Put down your phone and listen. 3. Compassion Over Judgment: Understand that everyone has their battles. Show compassion, not judgment. Remember, this is a lifelong journey. The more effort you put in, the better your life will become. You'll find yourself handling situations that once seemed impossible, and you'll realize you're not as affected by others' negativity.
