Fear is a natural feeling, but it doesn't have to control us. Letting go of fear is about making peace with uncertainty. Trust that you have the resilience to handle whatever comes your way. Let fear be the fuel that drives you forward instead of the anchor that holds you back.

Hey Rebel! Imagine waking up every day consumed by thoughts of food, haunted by the scale, and trapped in a relentless cycle of restriction followed by loss of control. If this resonates with you, know that you're not alone. This was once my reality, and it was also the reality for today's guest, my past group coaching client, Rachel. In today's episode, we delve into how Rachel has rebuilt her relationship with food—from a regimen of strict control to embracing body cues with compassion, from emotional eating to savoring meals with genuine pleasure, and becoming a confident intuitive eater. Rachel not only enjoys a wide variety of foods today but also sets an empowering example for her children, raising them now as intuitive eaters! Fear and insecurity around food has opened up a path to true food freedom for Rachel and her family, and I hope you leave inspired by her transformational story! ------- Learn more about group coaching here: https://dietculturerebel.com/group-coaching Connect with Bonnie on Instagram: @diet.culture.rebel

A recent study done by Cornell University found that 85% of the fears we have *NEVER* materialize, yet the overwhelming majority of people are gripped by fear! Yet for many Christians, fear has an incredible stronghold on their lives. This is especially true when it comes to generosity. Without question, Fear is the number one reason why Christians are *not* generous.

Today host Heather Creekmore delves into the topic of aging and the fear that often accompanies it. She talks about the cultural pressure to stay young, the struggle with body image, and the desire to remain relevant in a society that values youth. Heather shares insights from her new book, "Aging Gratefully," a 30-day devotional for women that covers various aspects of aging, from bodily changes to finding purpose in midlife and beyond. Throughout the discussion, she encourages listeners to consider the biblical perspective on aging and to embrace the reality of getting older with gratitude and trust in God's plan. Heather's discussion spans a range of topics surrounding aging, including the cultural pressures and myths associated with aging, the changing seasons of life, and the fear of becoming irrelevant. She also highlights the biblical perspective on aging, offering a refreshingly positive viewpoint on something our culture points to as negative. One significant topic Heather focused on was the symbolism of graying hair and how it has been distorted by cultural messages. Drawing from Proverbs 16:31, Heather shares how marketers convinced us that gray hair would ruin our lives, but how the Bible tells us that gray hair is a crown of glory, representing wisdom and victory. As we dive into the concept of aging gratefully, Heather challenges us to shift our mindset away from cultural norms and expectations and embrace the unique beauty that comes with every season of life. Awaken Your Inner Awesomeness with Melissa Oatman-A daily dose of spirituality and self improvement
It's time to let go of fear, so you can manifest the life of your dreams. The universe wants you to see fear for what it is. It's a limitation or an illusion. Why is this fear so strong? What would happen if you let it go? What could you accomplish if you only took a risk? You were not meant to be small. What beliefs are you holding onto about yourself? Do those come from you or someone else? The only opinion that matters is your own. Stop doing what others expect you to do. It's time to be bold. In today's episode I talk about how to blast through your fears so that you can achieve the life of your dreams. 'God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts. The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Come and see what the Lord has done, the desolations he has brought on the earth. He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields with fire. He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.' Psalms 46:1-11 As I read through Psalms 46 today I just felt like it was so relevant. I know many of us almost feel encircled by fear as we continue to become more aware of all that is going on in our world, from wars in the middle east, to potential threats on our end, to lab grown meat, riots arising, natural disasters and so much more. Not to mention our own little world with our little family and the stressors and fears we have just inside our own home. But as I read Psalms today I almost just felt God's gentle reminder of so many important things, he is with us, we don't need to fear, he is greater than it all and he can cause it all to come to a screeching halt, we can be still and know that He alone is God! We can slowly let go of these fears that we are holding on to, anxiously searching for security and hope, trying to figure it all out and protect our family. We can look up to heaven and cling to our refuge, our strength, our helper, Jesus Christ who will never abandon us! -- To connect with Lauren, follow her on Facebook or Instagram @laurenahargrove

This week, we continue where our conversation from last week left off -- how fear has infiltrated modern day parenting techniques and advice. We have to hold the tension of working through the past and also surrendering every aspect of our lives to the Lord. We cannot live our lives to the fullest of what God has for us if we are plagued by fear-based mothering. As always, we honor, respect, and meet y'all right where you are on this journey. We will never just "arrive" at navigating this perfectly. That's why we need God & each other to help, encourage, and be here along the way. We'd love to connect with you! Are you connected with what you desire, what you love, what brings you joy? Do you know how to receive those things and allow them to expand? What if you find yourself limiting those things, in an attempt to take care of everyone else? If that's you, then I'd say you're a very normal human being just trying to get through this life being as good of a person as you can be. Yet, what if we're missing a big piece of the puzzle when trying to take care of everyone else, putting ourselves last? What if we forget to take care of ourselves? What if we find ourselves disconnected with who we really are, what lights us up, what brings us joy? In today's episode, I'm talking about what it might mean to allow yourself to rediscover what you love and bring that out into the world - whether that's creating something new or taking a crocheting class. By the end of the episode you'll not only see how allowing yourself to expand in your own desires and joy will support your own wellbeing and close circle of people, but will benefit the world. Take a breath and listen along. Mentioned in the episode: Demystifying Meditation Workshop Turn Within Membership Community
