There was a time when I couldn't stand unfairness. If something felt wrong, I would fight. I would argue. I would push until I felt heard. I was the uncomfortable one in the room—the one who couldn't let go until justice was served. But it came at a cost. My peace. My joy. My relationships. In this deeply honest episode, I open up about:My emotional battles with injusticeHow my childhood shaped the way I reactThe anger that used to rule meAnd the gentle inner work that led me back to love and peaceI've learned that life isn't always fair. But how I respond—that's something I get to choose. And today, I choose peace over being right. I choose softness. I choose love.If you've ever struggled with strong emotions, felt misunderstood, or carried the weight of needing to make things right—this episode is for you. It's a gentle reminder that you are not alone, and you are always capable of changing the way you show up in your life.BOOKS:

What if you weren't what people expected you to be?Today I want to introduce you to Daniel, Daniel is someone that at first glance you notice a tall strong man, maybe one that you can't read right away, maybe you even have an idea of what he is like…I want to invite you to listen to this, to listen to Daniel as he shares life and how it has impacted him Speaking to Daniel gave me in so many ways, permission to slow down, to be present myself, to not rush through something but to listen in whatever time passed Daniel is one of the most genuine and gentle souls I've ever met, someone that sees intentionally and values deeply not just human life as a whole; but in what you will hear, human life in a single soulThere are people I meet from time to time that remind me to simply be in a single moment, not just to “not worry and focus on the present” but to truly, in that conversation, be fully presentWe chat about his journey as he is biking across Italy, about working in healthcare with a post war generation, about what is said at the end of life and what is notHe shares why saying goodbye well, and giving a heartfelt thank you can be the difference of valuing someone, seeing someone, and giving them peace as life comes to an endDaniel has this presence about him, not overbearing, not timid, but present; and in a way I am truly grateful for, he gave me space to do the sameSo tune in today and meet Daniel, hear what has excited him, and even what chased him while on his bike in Tuscany, learn what life has taught him, and if you will, allow it to impact you as it has for meAnd to you Daniel thank you, thank you for seeing me and valuing this conversation, for the heart in which you are so intentionally impacting humanity, for your sincerity and trust in allowing me to share a part of you with others in this conversation. You are a beautiful human and it is an honor to know you
Where The Spirit Of The Lord Is, There Is Freedom2 Corinthians 3:17 “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”I saw this verse on Facebook today and thought it was a great one. I have been helping to lead a Life in the Spirit Seminar and each week we learn a little bit more about the Holy Spirit and about the beginning of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal. There is a video teaching about different subjects and then one of our prayer group members gives a witness about how they have seen God working in their lives. I have really been learning a lot. Not just from the talks, but also from other people's experience of how they have seen God in their life. The first week's topic was God's Love. The witness was about a woman who was told she couldn't have children and yet had two healthy children. She was a woman who married the love of her life and even though the marriage ended, God was there with her through it all. He provided miracles all throughout her life small ones and big ones, like giving birth to her children when she was told she couldn't have kids. This woman experienced a baptism of the Holy Spirit and she talks about how her life was changed after that. She had this love and closeness with the Lord that she never had before. She was filled with this sense of peace that although things weren't always easy, she would be ok. God would be there with her through it all. The verse above says that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. This woman definitely experienced freedom for her worries. The second week the topic was salvation. The witness was about a woman who lost her father at a young age. He was only about 60 years old when he was hit be a teenager and killed. There was some speculation that the teen had been drinking but could not be proven. This woman could not forgive the teen. She was so angry that he took her father from his children and his grandchildren. She harbored this anger for 20 years. Forgiveness wasn't even something she could think about. She went to grief counseling, and they recommended she write the teen a letter, but not send it. She couldn't even think of doing this. Many years later a former coworker of hers lost her husband to a teen driving accident. My friend attended this wake and asked her former coworker how she was doing. The former coworker said she thought she was ready to write the teenage a letter of forgiveness, as it had been four months. My friend burst into tears and asked how she could forgive so soon as it had only been four months. My friend's dad died 20 years ago and she still harbored feelings of unforgiveness. Her former coworker told her she needed to forgive him, for herself as much as for the boy. How could she expect God to forgive her if she didn't forgive others. The Holy Spirit works in mysterious ways. If my friend hadn't have ran into her former co-worker at this wake, who knows if she would have forgiven that young man. My friend didn't even notice how much her unforgiveness had blocked her relationship with the lord. It took her another year to write the letter. When she read it out loud to her husband she felt so free. It was as if a huge weight she didn't know she had been carrying had been lifted. It enabled her to have a closer and intimate relationship with God. She was finally free of the unforgiveness.Last night's topic was New Life. It talked about how we have a new life when we accept the Holy Spirit into our lives and give Him permission to work in our lives. When we surrender to God, amazing things happen. For some, it is so hard to surrender everything. For others, it is easy to surrender everything to God, and yet, when things get tough they take it back and try to do it on their own. The witness for last night was about a member who was doing her best to be a good Catholic. She attended mass and her kids went to Catholic school. She talked about how her priorities once she got married were her husband, her kids and God. However, about 14 years ago her husband had heart trouble and was give 3-5 years to live. She was told his heart would just stop and it would be sudden death. She didn't know what to do with this. He was her best friend and her whole world. How could she think about a future without him?She was upset with God and questioned what she did to deserve this. She allowed fear and anxiety to take over life. She begged God to save them from this medical prognosis. She cried out why have you forsaken me. There were many more years of hospital stays and ER visits. She felt as though God was waiting on her, but she didn't know what to do. She started to go to daily mass and spent hours in the adoration chapel. One day she saw an advertisement for a Catholic Healing Service. She begged her husband to take her and he did. At this service she was taught about the power of the Holy Spirit and what can block us from the healing power of God and from hearing His voice. They were lead through prayers of forgiveness, renunciation of sickness, sin, diseases, and negative emotions. At this service her eyes were open to what had been blocking her. The Holy Spirit showed her that even though she had been praying all those years, she hadn't truly believed that God was hearing her prayers and that He would take care of them. She realized that God had been suffering with her and He just wanted her to trust that He would take care of them. At this service everyone was invited to come up one at a time to be prayed over. When she went up she surrendered all to God and asked for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Suddenly she felt a gust of wind push her back, she was swept off her feet and knocked to the ground. The Holy Spirit came upon her and she was filled with tremendous peace, love and joy. Her sadness and stress were gone and she felt light as a feather. She was free, from all her worries, sadness, anxieties, and stress. She definitely was feeling the freedom that comes with the Holy Spirit. The reason I wanted to share these three witnesses with you today is because I don't think we talk about the Holy Spirit enough. We talk a lot about God and we hear a lot about Jesus and yet, the Holy Spirit remains a mystery to many of us. We don't know a lot about Him and so we tend to stick to what we know. The Holy Spirit is available to all. It is not something that you need to do certain things for. It is not as if you earn the Holy Spirit by being extra Holy, or by jumping through all the hoops. The Holy Spirit is available to anyone that wants it. You can call upon the Holy Spirit at any time and it only takes a second. “Come Holy Spirit come” are among the most powerful words you could say. There are many prayers to the Holy Spirit. There is one that I used to say often, although I must say I have gotten away from it and I want to get back to it. I will end with that prayer today. If you are looking for a way to invite the Holy Spirit into your life, say this prayer daily and then buckle up and enjoy the ride. If you invite Him in, He will do amazing things in your life. He will give you a freedom that you have never experienced before. The power of the Holy Spirit will surprise you. Wouldn't it be great if you knew what God wanted you to do? When you have a relationship with the Holy Spirit you will be able to hear God's words more clearly. There is so much I could say about the Holy Spirit and the benefits of getting to know more about Him and inviting Him into your life. However, I don't want to go on all day, so maybe I will do another episode later about this very important topic. I am sure I will do many over the years. I hope you enjoyed the witnesses. They were condensed, but I am hoping to bring you their full story in upcoming episodes. I will leave you with a prayer to the Holy Spirit. Oh, Holy Spirit, beloved of my soul…I adore you.Enlighten me, guide me, strengthen me, console me.Tell me what I should do; give me your orders. IPromise to submit myself to all that You desire of meAnd to accept all that You permit to happen to me.Let me only know your will.Thank you so much for joining me on this journey to walk boldly with Jesus. Psalm 44 For the choir director. A Maskil of the sons of Korah. 44 O God, we have heard with our ears,Our fathers have told usThe work that You did in their days,In the days of old.2 You with Your own hand drove out the nations; Then You planted them; You afflicted the peoples,Then You spread them abroad.3 For by their own sword they did not possess the land,And their own arm did not save them,But Your right hand and Your arm and the light of Your presence,For You favored them. 4 You are my King, O God;Command victories for Jacob.5 Through You we will push back our adversaries;Through Your name we will trample down those who rise up against us.6 For I will not trust in my bow,Nor will my sword save me.7 But You have saved us from our adversaries,And You have put to shame those who hate us.8 In God we have boasted all day long,And we will give thanks to Your name forever. Selah. 9 Yet You have rejected us and brought us to dishonor,And do not go out with our armies.10 You cause us to turn back from the adversary; And those who hate us have taken spoil for themselves.11 You give us as sheep to be eatenAnd have scattered us among the nations.12 You sell Your people cheaply,And have not profited by their sale.13 You make us a reproach to our neighbors,A scoffing and a derision to those around us.14 You make us a byword among the nations,A laughingstock among the peoples.15 All day long my dishonor is before meAnd my humiliation has overwhelmed me,16 Because of the voice of him who reproaches and reviles,Because of the presence of the enemy and the avenger. 17 All this has come upon us, but we have not forgotten You,And we have not dealt falsely with Your covenant.18 Our heart has not turned back,And our steps have not deviated from Your way,19 Yet You have crushed us in a place of jackalsAnd covered us with the shadow of death. 20 If we had forgotten the name of our GodOr extended our hands to a strange god,21 Would not God find this out?For He knows the secrets of the heart.22 But for Your sake we are killed all day long;We are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.23 Arouse Yourself, why do You sleep, O Lord?Awake, do not reject us forever.24 Why do You hide Your faceAnd forget our affliction and our oppression?25 For our soul has sunk down into the dust; Our body cleaves to the earth.26 Rise up, be our help,And redeem us for the sake of Your lovingkindness. It's one thing to not know what you want, but it's a whole other thing to know exactly what you want and from someone you love and loves you back and still not be able to figure out how to get it. Today I'm going to show you exactly how to get what you want from the people who mean the most to you. I call this little method "Flowers on Friday." And all this talk reminded me of a song that I wrote with my band 13 Stories years and years ago called, Flower which I have included here for you to enjoy, as well. Then, as always, we will meditate together with a mantra for abundance and wealth to seal the deal on our desires and the ability to express them well.In this episode we will: ~Learn the “The Flowers on Friday” method and how to use it to get what you want ~Learn just how to articulate our needs well and clearly ~Om Shreem Maha Lakshmiyei Namaha meditation for manifesting abundance and desiresJoin Cheri Flake on her next retreat! In the mountainsor At the beachLove the show? Stand By Me, (Ben E. We all carry a set of beliefs about what the NORM is and about how we're ‘meant' to think, feel, act, look in order to fit in with that (possibly narrow) view. And these beliefs inform how we see ourselves. The challenge comes of course, when we see ourselves through a critical lens - which can (of course) be a far more critical lens than we would ever use to see another person. In the lyrics of the song by En Vogue*(more on that in the episode!), we hear:Before you can read me. You got to learn how to see meAnd so it is with ourselvesHence the title of today's episode… Be self-kind & the love will followWhen we see ourselves through kind eyes, we're acknowledging and accepting that every single part of us is welcome here. We are no longer ‘othering' parts we might find more difficult - or feel could even be impossible - to love. And part of this practice of being self-kind is not trying to rush at creating a sense of self-love. We're not trying to force something that can feel uncomfortable or unfamiliar. Begin - again and again - with kindness.KEY THINGS COVERED IN THIS EPISODEOthering - and how we can ‘other' parts of our SELFThe importance of feeling and being ‘welcome'The value of recognising and connecting with our inner parts, in a compassionate non-judgemental waySome of the common phrases the Inner Critic can throw at usThe risk of criticising our Inner Critic - how that can compound the effect of the self-judgementHow the words ‘should' or ‘must' or ‘ought' can be a sign the Inner Critic is getting activatedRemembering that the path toward being self-kind may feel hard but is always worth itREFERENCES*En Vogue: Free your mind & the rest will follow - the cultural reference that inspired this episode title's play on wordsInternal Family Systems - trauma based therapeutic supportSchool of Life - useful resource for working with the Inner CriticJoin the mailing list & receive the mini-course '3 little acts of self-compassion', completely free https://hennyflynn.ck.page/6e83d0227eExplore Henny's coaching, books, retreats, courses & events https://www.hennyflynn.co.uk/
I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Tuesday morning, the 17th of January, 2023, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today.“For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil. And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly.”Romans 16:19We need to be wise in what is good these days, there are so many counterfeit things going on. We need to be very simple when it comes to being concerned about evil. God has promised you and me that He will crush satan shortly. In other words, keep it simple. Stay pure and innocent. God, Himself, will deal with the devil. Don't be gullible regarding sweet talking. Stay alert at all times. The Lord Jesus Christ, Himself, shall deal with evil, ungodliness and the things of evil in this world. But rather enjoy your time with the Lord. Don't allow satan to rob us with his filthy lies and accusations. You say, quite correctly, “But it's not fair.” No, it is not fair. We are living in a very fallen world. You are quite right, but do you know something? It's not over yet. Do your part and let Jesus do His part. What is our part? Well, Micah 6:8 puts it so beautifully. He says we must do justly, we must love mercy and we must walk humbly with our God. So, do not allow the devil to rob your joy today. Do you remember that old song that we always sing? I would like you to sing it with me if you can.And I have decided to follow JesusI have decided to follow JesusI have decided to follow JesusOh no turning back, praise the Lord, no turning back. And the Cross before me And the world behind meAnd the Cross before meAnd the world behind meOh, the Cross before meAnd the world behind me,Oh, no turning back, praise the Lord, no turning back.Let's follow the Cross and we won't put a foot wrong.Jesus bless you and have a wonderful Tuesday,Goodbye.

145 – This is one juicy episode where we're going to bust those rent to rent myths that hold so many of you back...
A very good morning. I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Saturday morning, 27th August 2022, and this is your friend Angus Buchan, with a thought for today.Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!Serve the Lord with gladness;Come before His presence with singing.Know that the Lord, He is God;It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,And into His courts with praise.Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting,And His truth endures to all generations.Psalm 100We need to serve the Lord today with gladness. You see, we have a choice to make. We can serve our blessed Lord Jesus with gladness and singing, or we can sit in the corner and sulk and be sad and negative about our lot in life. Thanksgiving and praise is like light because wherever it shines, it chases out darkness and despair, John 8:12: Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”We were called to parliament in Cape Town a few years ago to pray for the desperate situation in Cape town. It was regarding the terrible fact that it was the only city in the whole world that had no water and no rain. During the meeting, I was called up to speak and everyone looked so sad and worried. When I looked out at the crowd of people I felt the Holy Spirit impress upon me to start singing in parliament, and all of a sudden everybody was up on their feet and they were dancing, singing and praising Jesus. You know, Africa is the singing continent of the world! A short while later, needless to say, the Rainmaker, the Lord Jesus did His miracle. Do you remember this song? I think it was the one I sang that morning.I have decided to follow Jesus,I have decided to follow Jesus I have decided to follow Jesus, No turning back,Praise the Lord, no turning back. The cross before me and the world behind me.And the cross before me and the world behind meAnd the cross before me and the world behind meAnd no turning back, praise the Lord, no turning back, Go out today and sing praises to your Lord Jesus. God bless you and goodbye.

I look forward to spending time with you again tomorrow. Have a blessed day!
Karly Nimmo 10:07 AM (25 minutes ago)to meAnd now we wrap up season two of Farming Together. In the first season we explored collaborative farming. The messy human stories, the process at arriving at a collaborative model, and the ways they've made it work.If you have any interest in starting collaborative farming – whether it be forming a new group ortaking an existing one to the next level – head back into the back catalogue to the first season of Farming Together, where you'll find find some great tips , raw truths and inspiration. One particular episode of season one struck a chord with many of you. We chatted with Katie and Hugh Finlay of Harcourt Organic Farming Co-operative. Katie and Hugh realised that as they aged they couldn't physically continue with all the farm work required, Katie and Hugh formed a co-operative that would not only ensure the farm's continued productivity, it would also help mentor the next generation of farmers and offer them greater lease security. In response to this episode, the farming together team received an influx of questions and feedback in relation to succession planning for farmers, and the different way share farming could be a solution. In the first episode we had a conversation with young farmers Sas Allardice (one half of Gung Hoe Growers) and micro dairy farmer Tess Sellars, both members of the Harcourt Organic Farming Co-op. Two young farmers keen to dig in, but with little capital, Sas and Tess knew they had to think outside the square when it came to accessing land and equipment. We hear how they made it work for them -- legally and financially – and the hard work, strong values, and sense of humour that helped them along the way.Episode two saw us chat with Andie White, who enlisted the help of Sam Marwood of Cultivate Farms. Andie was among a growing number of landless farmers who could prove they were productive farmers but couldn't quite get a foothold in the property market. She talks about how she made it happen with Cultivate Farms, which matches retiring farmers with aspiring farmers and investors. In episode three we heard from Cheryl Smith from medicinal herb farm Solum Farm and young hemp farmer Hannah Navara. Together they have forged a unique sharefarm model in which labour exchange, accommodation and equipment are all factored in to a unique mutually beneficial arrangement. The farmers connected through Young Famers Connect, a not-for-profit organisation that supports pathways for young farmers. We also speak to its co-founder and Principal co-ordinator Joel Orchard about the need for greater resources and support to achieve fairer outcomes for emerging farmers. And episode four saw us chat with Gordon Williams, owner of Eastlake Farm about creating a win-win leasing agreement between generations. Gordon tells us about his lease agreement which gives him an income and a say in how the farm is run while giving his leasees a mentor. who knows the land and can provide hard won knowledge and decades of experience. In episode five, Amanda speaks to Victorian dairy farmer Stuart Crosthwaite about the delicate situation of sharing a farm with your family. He talks about how the right succession planning strategy has given him the freedom to invest and grow the farm -- and importantly ensure his parents are well looked after. And in our last ep of this season, Amanda explores a share farming model which is radically different.Food system change-makers Kirsten Larsen and Serenity Hill reveal their ground-breakingnew collaborative farming model and succession plan designed to improve ecological function, support a diverse range of small-scale businesses, and ensure security of tenure for emerging farmers. These inspirational farmers in North Eastern Victoria have established put the family farm in a trust and created an agreement which over 80 years shifts the equity of their family's farm into a not-for-profit – conditional on improving ecological...

If we go to Ephesians 2:8 the Bible says that we have been saved by grace through faith and that, not of ourselves for it was a gift from God. I want to speak to you about mercy - What does mercy mean? Well, the Oxford Dictionary says it is something to be grateful for. Yes, it is an opportunity to say sorry. It is an opportunity to make amends and that is why, as an evangelist, the altar call is so critical - And to me the most important part of the whole service. It is where the battle is at its fiercest. The devil says, “Don't move. Don't make a fool of yourself. Don't go up there and say sorry to Jesus.” The Lord says, “Repent and be saved.”If you look at those old videos of Billy Graham, when tens of thousands of people come forward and bow the knee at the altar and ask for forgiveness, it warms my heart. I have seen it time and time again and it never ceases to amaze me.In the early years, we used to sing that hymn, just as Billy Graham always did with his men:Just as I am without one pleaBut that Thy blood was shed for meAnd that Thou bid'st me come to TheeOh Lamb of God, I come, I comeI want to tell you, my dear friend, just singing that little chorus... that verse brings tears to my eyes. I have seen husbands and wives, arm in arm, coming forward, tears streaming down their faces, asking for forgiveness. I have seen young men and their dads coming to the front and kneeling arm in arm. I have seen mothers and daughters coming forward, asking God for forgiveness. I have seen old people with walking sticks, some in wheelchairs, coming forward to say, “Lord, I am sorry!” God wants to say to you today, you too can say sorry.God says: “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5I heard a preacher say once, “You can never do anything to make God love you any more and you can never do anything to make God love you any less.” He just loves you - Why don't you call upon Him today?I Peter 5:7 says: Cast your cares, your burdens upon Jesus because He cares for you.He will take that burden that is crushing you. He will give you that forgiveness that you are looking for and He will give you new life.Jesus bless you as you have a wonderful week.God bless you and goodbye.
Our pusuit is fuelled by our longing. Our longing is fuelled by your knowledge of God. The knowledge of God is revealed by the Holy Spirit living within us. We need more of the Holy Spirit. Johan HeinrichsThis Week's Passage: Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man, clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest. The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire, his feet were like burnished bronze, refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the roar of many waters. 16 In his right hand he held seven stars, from his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword, and his face was like the sun shining in full strength. Revelation 1:12:-16 The List:1) God speaks among seven golden lamp stands. (Scripture defines this as the seven churches. Hello nocturnals! This is Maru of Nocturnal Chamber podcast where I talk mostly at midnight or dawn about random stuff. I aim to encourage my listener with my own life experiences and insight
Greater Is The OneJohn 4:4 “ Little children, you are from God, and have conquered them; for the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”Everytime I hear this verse a song starts playing in my head. Does that ever happen to you? I didn't listen to Christian music growing up. We sang songs at church, but that was the extent to my exposure to Christian music and they definitely weren't contemporary. I went to a retreat when I lived in Germany and the speaker was a Christian singer. I bought her CD's and listened to them often. Her name is Ann Trufant. I thought it was great to have good music where the words of the song were helping me grow in my faith. I remember the first time I heard a reading at mass and recognized it from one of the songs. I had no idea that many of the lyrics were from the Bible. I was so excited. I felt like I should definitely get credit for reading the Bible when I listened to her songs. When I joined a Christian mentoring group, the leader had put together a playlist on Spotify of upbeat really good contemporary Christian music. I instantly fell in love. There are so many great artists out there singing about God. The songs are so good. I love hearing about how much they all love God too! The reason a song came to mind when I heard this verse is because the last sentence of this verse is the chorus. This song is so good. It talks about all the ways that the world tries to bring us down, and how it doesn't matter what they say or do, because God is living inside of us and He is greater than those living in the world. I thought I would talk about the lyrics of this song because they can explain it so eloquently. I highly recommend after you are done listening to the podcast you click on the link in the show notes for the song “Greater” by MercyMe. (Click here for video) I put the link for the lyric video so you can read along as they sing. I promise you won't regret it. It's an amazing song. It begins with:Bring your tiredAnd bring your shameBring your guiltAnd bring your painDon't you know that's not your nameYou will always be much more to meThis is so true! We often feel like we are how we feel. If we feel like a crappy parent then we take on that identity. Who doesn't feel tired and guilty sometimes. But how many of us take that on and let the world define us by those feelings. How many of us let the world convince us that there is something wrong with us because of those feelings? God knows that we are so much more than that, so much more than we feel like we are. You are not your feelings. You are not a bad person for having your feelings. You are so much more to God. The song goes on to say:Every day I wrestle with the voicesThat keep telling me I'm not rightBut that's alright'Cause I hear a voice and He calls me redeemedWhen others say I'll never be enoughAnd greater is the One living inside of meThan he who is living in the worldGod calls you redeemed too! He calls us all redeemed. Yes, we all wrestle with the voices in our head or in the world. Voices that are trying to pull us down and telling us that we are not enough. But, it's ok because God is greater than those voices. The Holy Spirit lives in you. The one that lives in you is great than the one who is living in the world. When you are struggling, try to remember that. Remind yourself that you have conquered those living in the world because God is greater than them. The song goes on to say:Bring your doubtsAnd bring your fearsBring your hurtAnd bring your tearsThere'll be no condemnation hereYou are holy, righteous and redeemedWe can bring our doubts and our fears to Jesus. He wants us to turn to him when we are hurt. Jesus does not condemn us, he loves us just as we are. We can bring whatever we have to Jesus and he will take us in. There is nothing we can do that would make Him stop loving us. We are God's children forever. He will always love us and protect us. We are holy, rigorous and redeemed.Next it says:Every time I fallThere'll be those who will call meA mistakeWell that's okay'Cause I hear a voice and He calls me redeemedWhen others say I'll never be enoughAnd greater is the One living inside of meThan he who is living in the worldThere are always going to be people that pounce on you when you make a mistake. People that pick on others to make themselves feel better. We live in a fallen world. We are not a perfect people, we don't always get it right. But, when others are saying you are not enough, remember that God calls you redeemed. The next part says:There'll be days I lose the battleGrace says that it doesn't matter'Cause the cross already won the warHe's Greater, He's GreaterThis is awesome. I love that this song can be real enough to admit that there are days when we lose the battle. There are days when we some of us can't even get out of bed to fight the battle. This is ok. I love that it says “Grace says it doesn't matter.” I love God's grace and how freeing it can be when we learn to accept it. When we finally, finally, stop being so hard on ourselves and learn to give ourselves, and others grace, it is so freeing. It feels so good when we can mess up, or notice that we are not perfect, and yet we don't come down hard on ourselves. When we give ourselves permission to not be perfect, life gets a whole lot easier. We can't do this without grace. I love the next line right after that. “Cause the cross already won the war.” Oh my goodness, this is so true and yet we tend to forget it. Jesus died on the cross so our sins may be forgiven. Why is it so hard for us to accept this? Why do we let the weight of our sins carry us down. Why do we believe the world when they tell us how guilty we are and yet we don't believe God when he tells us we are redeemed? God is greater than he who is living in the world. Keep reminding yourself of this. The last part says:I am learning to run freelyUnderstanding just how He sees meAnd it makes me love Him more and moreHe's Greater, He's GreaterThis is what I was saying earlier. It is so freeing when you really start to understand how God sees you. Imagine what your day would be like if you weren't worried about what people were saying or thinking about you. Imagine what it would feel like to not be constantly feeling like you were letting someone down, or listening to the criticism of others. You can have this life that you are picturing. If you can remember and come to truly believe that the one living in you is greater than the one living in the world you won't have to listen to all the voices of the world. You have already defeated them. God is calling you redeemed. The cross has already won the war. There is no condemnation with God. He pours His grace on us, all we need to do is accept it. I have put a link to this song with the lyrics in the show notes. I hope you take a few minutes and listen to it. It is such a great song. Dear Heavenly Father, I ask that you bless all those listening to this episode today. Lord we know you are greater than those living in this world. Help us to believe that we are redeemed. Help us to accept your grace Lord Jesus. Help us to learn to run freely and to see ourselves as you see us. Lord, on those days when we don't win the battle help us to feel your grace and help us to win the battle the next day. Give us the strength we need Lord Jesus to keep on winning the battles. When others tell us that we're not enough help us to hear your voice inside telling us we are. When we fall down and others ridicule us help us to stand back up. We love you so much Lord and we're so very thankful for all that you do for us. We ask all of this in accordance with your will and in Jesus' holy name, Amen.
We're starting a two week look at Psalm 139 to learn about being fully known (this weekend) and fully free (June 27). The first passages of this Psalm declare the wonder of being known completely by a God who is aware of all we do, think, and say. He knows every place we've been and will go. He sees every step in between. God is never confused about you. Never jumps to the wrong conclusion. There's no pretense. No prejudice. No misunderstandings. He gets you. He loves you and he will lead you – if you submit to him. For David, meditating on how well God knew him brought confidence as he submitted his life in worship. As we look at these verses together, I hope you'll share his experience and fully submit to God, who fully knows you.Sermon NotesSearch Me, O God:I am Fully KnownPastor Dwayne FrancoisJune 20, 2021Psalm 139:1-15—I'm a fully known worshipper when I am…—…guided by God's intimate care (v 1-6)—…trusting in God's loving watchfulness (v. 7-12)—…rejoicing in God's wonderful work (v. 13-16)---It's so unusual, it's frighteningYou see right through the mess inside meAnd you call me out to pull me inYou tell me I can start againAnd I don't need to keep on hidingI'm fully known and loved by YouYou won't let go, no matter what I doAnd it's not one or the otherIt's hard truth and ridiculous graceTo be known, fully known, and loved by YouI'm fully known and loved by You“Known” by Tauren Wells---Basic emotions:https://hbc.info/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/emotion-wheel.pngEmotional wheel:https://hbc.info/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Robert-Plutchik-Wheel-Of-Emotion-1-1200x856-1.png

This is Ordinary Time, Proper 6. As always, our Scripture readings and general order come from the Book of Common Prayer (1979) Daily Office. We'll sing “I Need You, Lord” by me throughout today's time of prayer. We'll read Psalm 20 followed by the Gloria Patri. Our Lesson is Mark 4:26-34. We'll say the Apostles' Creed, the Lord's Prayer, and the Collect of the Day. We'll then have a time of prompted prayer. If you have a prayer request please submit it at http://benwardmusic.com/prayerrequest. If you'd like to be on the email list visit http://benwardmusic.com/email. Amen. Psalm 20 1 May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble, * the Name of the God of Jacob defend you; 2 Send you help from his holy place * and strengthen you out of Zion; 3 Remember all your offerings * and accept your burnt sacrifice; 4 Grant you your heart's desire * and prosper all your plans. 5 We will shout for joy at your victory and triumph in the Name of our God; * may the Lord grant all your requests. 6 Now I know that the Lord gives victory to his anointed; * he will answer him out of his holy heaven, with the victorious strength of his right hand. 7 Some put their trust in chariots and some in horses, * but we will call upon the Name of the Lord our God. 8 They collapse and fall down, * but we will arise and stand upright. 9 O Lord, give victory to the king * and answer us when we call. Mark 4:26-34 (NRSV) Jesus said, “The kingdom of God is as if someone would scatter seed on the ground, and would sleep and rise night and day, and the seed would sprout and grow, he does not know how. The earth produces of itself, first the stalk, then the head, then the full grain in the head. But when the grain is ripe, at once he goes in with his sickle, because the harvest has come.” He also said, “With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable will we use for it? It is like a mustard seed, which, when sown upon the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth; yet when it is sown it grows up and becomes the greatest of all shrubs, and puts forth large branches, so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade.” With many such parables he spoke the word to them, as they were able to hear it; he did not speak to them except in parables, but he explained everything in private to his disciples. The Apostles' Creed I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spiritand born of the Virgin Mary.He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead.On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. The Lord's Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done,on earth as it is in heaven.Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses,as we forgive those who trespass against us.And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen. Collect of the DayProper 6, Rite Two Keep, O Lord, your household the Church in your steadfast faith and love, that through your grace we may proclaim your truth with boldness, and minister your justice with compassion; for the sake of our Savior Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us all evermore. Amen. (2 Corinthians 13:14)

JB:Today we welcome Paul Ross. Paul is an author, speaker, trainer, Maser Hypnotist, Master Practitioner of Neuro-linguistic Programming and amore!PR:I’m honored to be leading us on this journeyJB:How’d you get into sales?PR:I got into sales because I was a 29 year old virgin who couldn’t get a date. Couldn’t get a date ever!Had zero EQ(emotional intelligence) outside of facts, figures, graphs, charts. Challenging to communicate with people in a way that helps to communicate in sales context To communicate with people that connects with their emotions can be really challenging.Tried psychotherapy, read books, prayed and stumbled into a book about NLP Neuro Linguistic programming10 pages in, stop, and you go WOW, I must learn more!3-4 months to heal up my shame & bad mindset. Then applied the techniques and IT WORKED!First GF age of 29, realized he could teach other guysBecame a dating coach and began teaching students to get huge results, I found a family, here’s a picture of my wife and kids...this stuff is working for SALES!Getting a sale is like a date - outreach, prospecting, qualify, create rapport, presentational, trial close and handle objectionsDating is harder because there is a lot more PERSONAL RejectionBeing a hypnotist the unconscious/subconscious mind is the seat where decisions are actually madeJB:So much to unpack from that and things like handling PERSONAL objections which is so profound in dating and can feel similar in salesPR:How I learned the power of not taking it personally;Had a student who wanted to take him to a restaurant and watch him go pickup women. Didn’t want to do it, but then he offered $10K in cash. The student goes beyond strike out and crashes and burns. Have you ever seen someone get beat down time and time again so you feel terrible? That was this guy!Head outside waiting for cab (pre-Uber) they were done, but found a nice lady on the street to try one last timeShe got pissed. She decides how she responds, we decide where we come fromPattern interrupt puts his arm out - she is a daughter, she is loved somewhere. Broke her down. In between sobbing, this had nothing to do with you. What made that possible - BROKE HER PATTERN- what was she expecting me to do?Fight backStay Angry (if you’re in rapport)Sneak away Didn’t make it about her or himself/ Switched the meaning of the whole event by interrupting patternRapport can wreck your sale if you do it at the write timeI did the unexpected, she was expecting me to fight back or just apologize and sneak away. I did the unexpected and got a much different result. If I can do that in that emotionally loaded situation, I can train anyone to overcome an objection in a much less tense situation.Coming from outside the field of sales. When you’re inside a particular field you have the benefits and advantages of knowing it. But you also have the myopia of the narrow focus into a specific area. When you appeal to the subconscious mind of your prospect/client, they will do the majority of the work. Subtle Words That Sell: How to Get Your Prospects to Convince Themselves To BuyWhen you do it right, they talk themselves into buying.JB: How do you pattern interrupt and get into the subconscious?PR:Prospects want to get the work out of their way. Have you ever interviewed people? It’s so mind numbing Destroying Objections- 5 techniquesThe OF Course Method-TO ME. Of Course you do, otherwise you wouldn’t be in this business you’re consistently committed to everydayTake the objection, and the MEANING of that objection is WHY YOU SHOULD LISTEN Have you ever been in a situation where the more options you were presented with it made it more confusing? - Based on a hypnotic principle- Dr. Milton Erickson -revolutionized the world of hypnosis - died in 1980 Love Pattern Interrupts - helps make people susceptible to create a narrow window where you can lead them to a new possibility. Didn’t say WHAT or WHEN- left it vague and unclearWhatever you can get the prospect to imagine for themselves they will think of it as their own idea. Be vague and make suggestions so the prospect starts to fill in the blanks for themselvesAs I’m leading you in this exploration of subconscious communication today - I’m not sure all the points at which you’ll stop to think WOW Paul has some fascinating things to share. But as that’s taking place I’m so honored to begin this journey of mentorship with me. Assuming they will continue learning from you. JB: What’s a pattern interrupt?PR: Stops their current thinking and allows you to reframe the meaning of their objection in the back of your headAll of this stuff applies to any field - this applies to so many people, LOVES to teach everybodyJB:Where do sellers leverage a pattern interrupt?PR: If the prospect doesn’t want to engage, answer questions. Worked across realtors, mortgage loan officers, Sales Engineers - you are the same guys I taught for years how to meet women and successfully employee your romantic stylings SE matches the software and benefits in front of a group of experts whose job it is to suss out whether it will meet their needs. Lots of time a Tech Hijacker who wants to poke holes in everything. “Before we begin this exploration of this suite of solutions. I want to acknowledge, I welcome questions, as long as you laugh at my jokes that’s absolutely fine. If you are the type of person who wants to prove me wrong, I’m already promising I know I can be wrong.”Power of INOCULATION - inoculate your audience before they come up with objectionsBefore we dive into there are 3 possible responses(how do I get in front of them):Will sound like what you already knowMajority of it will make some senseSome of this will be totally off the walls and that’s where I want to get you excitedThe potential of bringing you results so far beyond what you’re enjoying today.Slowed down the pace of his speaking to create a more hypnotic responseIf you want to get into the power of subconscious suggestion, slow your voice down It’s in the pause where you find the power.JB: How do you learn to slow your speaking?PR:Why mirror people when I can lead them? Take the content out, change the tempo and the pace (to learn pacing) - Mary had a little lamb…..her fleece was……..white as snow…..Rich Bandler- mentor- take nonsense content and pace your voice so you are less focused on the words and can alter the tone and paceJB: What is NLP and how do you use it?PR: I am using it the whole time. The suggestions are buried in the words.FIND YOURSELF, DISCOVER YOURSELF, ALLOW YOURSELF -- use these 3 phrases in your sales presentations/negotiations, your sales will explode. Do you ever just find yourself with your head in the refrigerator, hand on the door and you don’t remember what it is you’re looking for? What does it mean to FIND YOURSELF doing something -it happens outside of your conscious awareness/controlAs we’re having this discussion I don’t know at which point you might STOP and FIND YOURSELF MAKING A GREAT DECISIONClarity doesn't have to be powerful you can be vague and be successful in salesEverything I’ve learned came from my mom, blame it on her. JB: How do traditional, common teachings about mindset actually get in the way of your progress?PR:One of the limiting beliefs sales people have is they do OK with the mid-level clients, they just can’t close the big accounts. It’s very difficult to convince someone to do something when they have a million repetitions with themselves saying I can’t, can’t can’tNot a Napoleon Hill fan. More contrarian thinking as many people LOVE Napolean Hill. Who would lean on affirmations (I Close BIG DEALS!) but the subconscious mind wins over the conscious mind. When you go to create change:Difficult to change beliefs about your identity - to change I AM statements - easy to change people’s beliefs of what they can learn/acquireAlways stay in rapport with the unconscious mindWhen someone states a limiting belief take it away from being about them and more so a skill they can learnOpposed to I can I can I can, use….Up Until Now it was my experience that I didn't close the high ticket items→ more empowering statement because it opens the POSSIBILITY that you can succeedEasier to get someone to believe in the possibility they can changeAnd now I claim MY LEARNING OF MY SKILLS TO CLOSE MY BIG TICKET CLIENTSDifference between wanting & claiming?Ownership language; my, mine, etc. Add in some adjectivesI claim these skillsI claim My skillsI claim my AMAZING skills- creates a lot more power Make it about skills + ownership + adjectiveReflexively apply to the listener- take what they just said. Wow that’s a powerful belief you’ve learned to invest inWhat would it be like as you now open up to a mysterious new way of thinking?Being deliberately vague at the right time, adding in suggestions, use trance phrases to help drive the conversation.Watching a strawweight fight, ladies throwing many combinations - one of the best fights - If you just use one of these tools, when you use them in partnership with each other it becomes crazy powerful. In hypnosis we call this the Law of Compound Suggestion. JB:This is where I think we can get so much!PR:I have an ulterior motive, I want people to fall in love with the transformational power of language, structure consciousness, shape decisions and drive behavior.See people fall in love with themselves, close big deals, sales go up by 15-20-30%People on the subconscious level not to just talk to him more, but to fall in love with itThe brain is miraculous, much more beautiful and complicated than a computer.I think there is something magical going on between our earsJB:How do you help people bounce back from failure?PR:Surrender and Embrace practiceAffirmations:I surrender my right to envy, despair, self punishment and demanding the world provide meAnd embrace my practice of joy, appreciation and ability to learn any skills I needSurrender my right to spite the success of others, embrace my right ot learning from themI am blessed to have my challenges in my life, joyously, courageously, creatively face the challenges in my life and conquerJB:Talk to me about your daily routinesPR:I practice happiness for the success of others! Metta meditation from BuddhismWhen you are grateful for other people’s success it’s the completion/multiplication of your own gratitude for what you haveEnvy multiplies your lack or what you miss out on Envy implies a belief that you can’t do/have somethingPurge myself of subtle self punishmentObvious positions, anger, jealousy we can deal with , the subtle ones have power because we don’t see themIf you have an ego problem like me, have cats because they will show you that you don’t matterJB:Talk to me about meditation practicePR:2500 year old Buddhist practice called Vipassana, essentially mindfulnessFocusSensory clarity- acutely aware of everything going onEquanimity - non interference with the flow of the experienceSelf is not a thing, an ever arising set of experiences. It can be very liberating especially when suffering. So much pain and grief upon the passing of his mother, allow the grief to grip my body, feel it through every part of my body...after 30 minutes broke up into waves of energy. Did I suffer? NO. Was in grief but not suffering. Went from grieving incapacitated to griveing in my lifeAs humans we aren’t taught to handle pain well. When we can walk side by side with pain and uncertainty. Biggest problems for people not fear of failure but the uncertainty. Unwillingness to move forward without certainty. JB:The power of meditation, mindset and subconscious is so powerful because sales is a life skill about engaging with people, engaging with yourself and building awareness that can take you forward. What does success mean to you?PR: The freedom to do what I love to do, teaching, and doing it in a way where I can have financial reward to choose to spend my money on experiences not things. It gives me the opportunity to play with the kind of people I want to play with. Sense verbs to czasowniki oznaczające zmysły, czyli see, hear, smell, taste, feel. It looks delicious. – To wygląda pysznie. It sounds dangerous. – To brzmi groźnie. It tastes great. – to smakuje świetnieShe looks old. – Ona wygląda staro.I znowu wyjątek. Stosuje się przysłówek „well” czyli „dobrze” po omawianych tu „sense verbs” szczególnie takich jak: look (wyglądać), sound (brzmieć), appear (wyglądać); w nieco innym znaczeniu niż możemy zakładać jednak – oznacza on w takich zdaniach bowiem „zdrowy, zdrowo”.Na przykład:Tom looks very well after the operation. – Tom wygląda dobrze (zdrowo) po operacji. Podobnie stosujemy przysłówek “unwell” ( niezdrowy)Na przykład:You look unwell today. Is everything all right? Mówimy więc:I can see you now. – widzę cię teraz (dociera do mnie informacja wzrokowa)I can smell something strange – czuję coś dziwnego. Sense verbs możemy jednak użyć w sposób dynamiczny, oznaczający wykonywanie czynności; będą one wówczas oznaczały wykonywanie czynności wąchania, próbowania (smakowania), dotykania, patrzenia i jak najbardziej wszystkie formy czasowe będą już miały zastosowanie.e.g.Why are you smelling the soup? – Dlaczego wąchasz zupę?He is tasting the food. – On próbuje jedzenie.I'm feeling the fabric to check the softness. Jeżeli powiemy:I saw him parking the car. Jeżeli powiemy zaś:I saw him park the car. Eric Clapton w piosence „wonderful tonight” pięknie nam to obrazuje:It's late in the eveningShe's wondering what clothes to wearShe puts on her make upAnd brushes her long blonde hairAnd then she asks me, "Do I look alright?"And I say, "Yes, you look wonderful tonight"We go to a partyAnd everyone turns to seeThis beautiful ladyThat's walking around with meAnd then she asks me, "Do you feel alright?"And I say, "Yes, I feel wonderful tonight"
What a question to ask but I'll do it anyways ..Do we need men in our lives ?A question I'm burning to ask women especially the hardworking independent ones Hey there in today's episode of the Borealis experience I will be talking about my observations and thoughts when it comes to heterosexual relationships. This is where I made my experiences. I feel In same sex relationships there is struggles as well but the mis/communication -understanding between partners is not as severe as in hetero sexual relationships.I will be outing myself as a non-feminist today and that's okay. I love my brothers. I'm on a journey of trying to understand them and support them and always enjoyed their company and I appreciate and honor my sisters who live at peace with themselves and let life flow and also the ones that still struggle with pain/ rejection and resentment.Enjoy and share your thoughts with meAnd in the future I'll cover more about this hot topic Woman-single , No men around ? Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds, your daily dose of hope, imagination, wisdom, stories, practical tips, and general riffing on this and that.Tom Hegg wrote A Cup of Christmas Tea in 1981 at the request of his pastor to celebrate the church’s 125th anniversary. Drawing on childhood memories he composed a poem about an event that may sound familiar no matter where we come from, whether we celebrate Christmas or Festivus For the Rest of Us. This Season, more than any other, turns on generosity. In that spirit I share Tom Hegg’s poem with you. "The log was in the fireplace, all spiced and set to burnAt last the yearly Christmas race was in the clubhouse turn. The cards were in the mail, all the gifts beneath the treeAnd 30 days reprieve till VISA could catch up with me. Though smug satisfaction seemed the order of the daySomething still was nagging me and would not go awayA week before I got a letter from my old great AuntIt read: Of course I'll understand completely if you can'tBut if you find you have some time how wonderful if weCould have a little chat and share a cup of Christmas tea. She'd had a mild stroke that year which crippled her left sideThough house bound now my folks had said it hadn't hurt her prideThey said: She'd love to see you. What a nice thing it would beFor you to go and maybe have a cup of Christmas tea. But boy! I didn't want to go. Oh, what a bitter pillTo see an old relation and how far she'd gone downhillI remembered her as vigorous, as funny and as brightI remembered Christmas Eves when she regaled us half the night. I didn't want to risk all that. I didn't want the pain.I didn't need to be depressed. I didn't need the strain. And what about my brother? Why not him? She's his aunt, too!I thought I had it justified, but then before I knewThe reasons not to go I so painstakingly had builtWere cracking wide and crumbling in an acid rain of guilt. I put on boots and gloves and cap, shame stinging every poreAnd armed with squeegee, sand and map, I went out my front door.I drove in from the suburbs to the older part of townThe pastels of the newer homes gave way to gray and brown. I had that disembodied feeling as the car pulled upAnd stopped beside the wooden house that held the Christmas cup.How I got up to her door I really couldn't tell...I watched my hand rise up and press the button of the bell.I waited, aided by my nervous rocking to and froAnd just as I was thinking I should turn around and goI heard the rattle of the china in the hutch against the wallThe triple beat of two feet and a crutch came down the hall. The clicking of the door latch and the sliding of the boltAnd a little swollen struggle popped it open with a jolt. She stood there pale and tiny, looking fragile as an eggI forced myself from staring at the brace that held her leg.And though her thick bifocals seemed to crack and spread her eyesTheir milky and refracted depths lit up with young surprise."Come in! Come in!" She laughed the words. She took me by the handAnd all my fears dissolved away as if by her command. We went inside and then before I knew how to reactBefore my eyes and ears and nose was Christmas past, alive, intact! The scent of candied oranges, of cinnamon and pine,The antique wooden soldiers in their military line,The porcelain Nativity I'd always loved so much,The Dresden and the crystal I'd been told I mustn't touch. My spirit fairly bolted like a child out of classAnd danced among the ornaments of calico and glass. Like magic I was six again, deep in a Christmas spellSteeped in the million memories the boy inside knew well. And here among old Christmas cards so lovingly displayedA special place of honor for the ones we kids had made. And there, beside her rocking chair, the center of it allMy great Aunt stood and said how nice it was that I had come to call. I sat and rattled on about the weather and the fluShe listened very patiently then smiled and said, "What's new?"Thoughts and words began to flow. I started making senseI lost the phony breeziness I use when I get tense. She was still passionately interested in everything I did.She was positive. Encouraging. Like when I was a kid.Simple generalities still sent her into fitsShe demanded the specifics. The particulars. The bits. We talked about the limitations that she'd had to faceShe spoke with utter candor and with humor and good grace. Then defying the reality of crutch and straightened kneeOn wings of hospitality she flew to brew the tea.I sat alone with feelings that I hadn't felt in years.I looked around at Christmas through a thick hot blur of tears. And the candles and the holly she'd arranged on every shelfThe impossibly good cookies she still somehow baked herself. But these rich and tactile memories became quite pale and thinWhen measured by the Christmas my great Aunt kept deep within. Her body halved and nearly spent, but my great Aunt was wholeI saw a Christmas miracle, the triumph of a soul. The triple beat of two feet and a crutch came down the hallThe rattle of the china in the hutch against the wall. She poured two cups. She smiled and then she handed one to meAnd then we settled back and had a cup of Christmas tea." [Tom Hegg, author; Tristan Publishing, Inc.] This is the place to thrive together. Few/a few/little/a littleFew i a few stosoujemy do rzeczwowników policzalnychNa przykładFew people, few books, few films A few friends, a few books.few oznacza po prostu mało – dla rzeczowników policzalnychA few zaś – kilka. There were a few people at the meeting so we could talk. Jeżeli powiemy zaś: There were few people at the meeting so we couldn't vote anything. Little i a little zaś odnoszą się, określają rzeczowniki niepoliczalneNa przykładHe drinks little water. – On pije mało wody.AleHe drinks a little wine at parties. – On pije trochę win ana przyjęciach. He has a little money, so let's go party! – On ma trochę kasy, więc chodźmy na imprezę. – Czyli Little oznacza mało dla rzeczowników niepoliczalnychA little oznacza troche I ma to wydźwięk pozytywnyNależy więc zapamiętać, że few i little sugerują zbyt małą liczbę, a a few i a little mają bardziej pozytywny wydźwięk, podkreślają fakt, że czegoś jest więcej niż tylko troszeczkę.Mówimy więc:-Little money - mało pieniędzy (zbyt mało by np. coś kupić)-Few books – mało książek-A little money – trochę pieniędzy ( mało, ale na coś tam starczy)-a few books – kilka książek Jak to można spróbować zapamiętać?Few ma trzy literki, więc bardzo mało…A few ma cztery literki więc to już trochę więcej, zawsze coś…Little ma mniej literek niż a little, więc little oznacza zupełnie mało, a little – o, to już coś zawsze jest… Inne przykłady:- I've got few friends – mam niewielu przyjaciół (oznacza to, że mam rzeczywiście mało przyjaciół, przydałoby się więcej)- I've got a few friends. – mam paru przyjaciół (to nieźle, zawsze mogę się z kimś spotkać)- I have little money - mam mało pieniędzy (nie dam rady kupić nic konkretnego, na nic mi nie wystarczy)- I have a little money – mam trochę pieniędzy (o! to może w coś zainwestuję, lub kupię nowy samochód) - I have a little time today – mam dziś troche czasu (to może pójdę do kina..)I jak zwykle spójrzmy, jak te wyrażenia stosowane są w piosenkach:FewThe Who – It's Hard https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5gV-kTMGUwIAny tough can fight, few can playAny fool can fall, few can layAny stud can reproduce, few can pleaseAnyone can pay, few can leaseIt's hardIt's hard(It's a hard, hard hand to hold(it's a hard, hard hand to holdIt's a hard land to control)It's a hard land to control)Any man can claim, few can findAny girl can blink, few can lieAnyone can promise, few can raiseAnyone can try, but a few can stayAny brain can hide, few can standAny kid can fly, few can land…A fewJay-Z – Suit and Tie – tutaj jest piosenka z tekstemhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTPHEJKbqdwI be on my suit and tie shit, tie shit, tieI be on my suit and tie shit, tie shitCan I show you a few things?A few things, a few things, little baby 'causeI be on my suit and tie shit, tie shitI be on my suit and tie shit, tie shitLet me show you a few thingsLet me show you a few thingsWait a minute, you ready, JT?I can't wait 'til I get you on the floor, good-lookingGoing out so hot, just like an ovenAnd I'll burn myself, but just had to touch itIt's so fly and it's all mineHey baby, we don't mind all the watching, hi'Cause if they study close, real close, they might learn somethingShe ain't nothing but a little doozy when she does itShe's so fly (she's so fly) tonightAnd as long as I've got my suit and tieI'ma leave it all on the floor…Toby Keith – A few more cowboys – piosenka z tekstemhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BuAZDuzq58If the White House was in Texas, man, we'd get a straighter answerIf they'd let us smoke what we want, we'd have a lot less cancerThere'd be a bunch more daddies, sons could be proud ofWe'd have half the crime, we'd have twice the funWith a few more cowboys, be a lot less outlawsWith a few more amens, be a lot less bad callsWith a few more yes ma'ams and a lot less yes manThis world would be a better place to live inWith a few more cowboysIf we did it with a handshake, we'd save a lot of paperThat'd save a lot of trees we're shippin' overseas to make herIf we stood by our word, took care of our ownBought it made in the USA, we'd keep it here at homeWith a few more cowboys, be a lot less outlawsWith a few more amens, be a lot less bad calls…Jaheim – special dayhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFlMdZeSKGEBreakfast when you wake,Along with the candle on a cupcake that I baked,Catering you is much of my oblige,Instead of stress and mirage,You're the beat to my heart,Here's a rose with no thorns on the stem, you're a gem,You're the reason why i've, found 100 ways to,Adore you 3 times a day, morning noon and night,It's for youToday's a special day for you,These are a few, (these are a few, these are a few)Things I'd like to do for you,Today's a special day for you,These are a few, (these are a few, these are a few)Things I'd like to share with youI'm a fool for love today, honest I'll do,Anything you need me to, uh huh,From sun rise to sun set on this ordinary day,You can have it all your way,That's my job, you're a heart throb,Love's the…Little ARKARNA SO LITTLE TIME Song N LYRICshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3pU3EPgULUTook a while to drag me out of bedAim some coffee at my headSaw the clock, I'm running lateIt's an ordinary dayAnd I'm like a dog on heatKnock one out and then fall asleepIt's sad but trueI'd rather be with youDon't you forget about meWhen you're a celebrityIt will be only you and meBefore too longSo little time, so much to doI'd rather spend my days with youSo little time, so much to doI' like to spend one day with youAnd if that day is not enoughMaybe we can stay and touchBut I'm not making plansFor tomorrow, for tomorrowNever comes...Said I've been celibate for yearsNot out of choice there's no - In this third episode of the Podcast Live by Crina Okumus, I talk to the beautiful Angela Lindvall. Angela is a model, actress, yogi, and a mother of two beautiful boys. She was featured on the cover of Italian Vogue in 1997, photographed by Steven Meisel. She was featured on many top magazine covers in the late 1990s and the early 2000s, such as Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, Maria Claire, Numero, W, i-D, V, and so on. And during the peak of her long career, she was always the world's top designers' favorite, such as Karl Lagerfeld, Miuccia Prada, Stella McCartney. She was a Prada Girl and a Chanel Girl. She has worked as the face of Chanel, Gucci, Valentino, Prada, Calvin Klein, Miu Miu, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Versace, DKNY, Roberto Cavalli, Fendi, Missoni, Jil Sander, and Jimmy Choo. As an actress, she has appeared in several films, including CQ in 2001 and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang in 2005 and Small Apartments in 2010. She was the host of the fashion reality series Project Runway: All-Stars, an extension of the popular series Project Runway.Angela is a tremendously inspiring woman of many talents. While at the peak of her modeling career, she became pregnant. Voices from the industry told her she would be jeopardizing her career should she decide to continue with the pregnancy. Angela persisted in the face of pressure, became a happy mother, and never looked at the industry through the same lense. Her story is emblematic of the unique struggles women endure when chasing their dreams.Since a young age, she has always been drawn to human consciousness, metaphysics, Ancient cultures, and spirituality. She began to privately study feverishly at the age of 15- questioning life's purpose and researching as a hobby. After becoming a mother of two, and slowing down her career, she became a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher, Health coach, and recently started her certification as a Doula. Being “The Mother” she considers her true calling and purpose in life. For over 3 years she has been envisioning and creating the direction to share this purpose beyond her own children. In addition to her career, Angela openly talked about some of the most meaningful events in her life:- Her definition of BEAUTY- Another view of the fashion industry after becoming a mother- Her story with COVID-19 - The loss of her younger sister at an early age- The importance of caring for the mind and the body with discipline and commitment - What are we doing with our time and the people that we love - Her new Passion Project: Peace Begins in Meand many more topics...What struck me the most was Angela’s openness to sharing what most of us might think of as sensitive information. When you combine this openness with the curiosity that comes from years of challenging experiences, what you see is an intellectually curious, wise, and loving person who transcends herself to talk about the human condition per se. Thank you, Angela, for sharing your thoughts and experiences with me. I feel truly blessed. To all our listeners, kindly support us by liking this video and subscribing to our channel! With love and good wishes,Crina O.

In the last episode of this podcast, I began a series of comparisons. This week I have five more traits that I would like to share and expand upon with you.The last episode can be found by following this link: https://leadgrowinnovate.com/lead-grow-innovate-episode32/Let's get right into itOur first comparison of the week is personal distance versus personal interestI was taught to separate away from my teamIt was important so that when I needed to discipline or give direction there was no emotional attachment and hindranceThis made for a very lonely existence but it did have some positivesMy social aspects while at work were with upper management and I was in direct immersion for my trainingThis style of management was not for meI had questionsThe team had the answers that I was afterTurns out the best people to teach about why we do certain things are the people that do them every dayI had discovered my style of a team working I needed to be in the mix and involved During this transition, I had one fear in the processI feared that I would lose respect and authority but the exact opposite turned out to be the caseThis is a good transition point into the next comparisonManagers require loyalty while a leader inspires it As I touched upon in the previous comparison As I was separated from my team my role and position were the things that were getting tasks accomplishedA manager would request a job to be done and the team would do it as such I found that I could ask for things to get done in a different way It was an amazing side-effect to have morale going up as well The team had developed a connection with meAnd above that, we did it in a way that left everyone feeling accomplishedShifting gears Managers can mandate how things need to be done Leaders can leverage towards how things get doneThrough planning and effective preparation a good manager can accomplish anything They have the ability to acquire resources and prepare themselves and their teams They know what needs to be where and how to get it Leaders, on the other hand, will as well be capable of accomplishing anything thrown at them but they will do it in a different fashionLeaders may not have the same experience in all facets and though they may not know what is necessary to get the job completed they do know the people that do They leverage these relationships and the connections that they have This can be explained further with our next two traitsThat being task orientation for managementWhile leadership will be more human resource orientedThis will show through in the steps and stages taken when preparing and creating Management will understand the equipment necessary, the size of the labor force and even how many hours it should takeLeadership will know the teams that can get the jobs doneThis is one of the most important points for me where both sides working together can become an unstoppable forceThis brings us to our final comparison of the weekManagement in the preparation phases will arbitrate what needs to be done The plan will be in place and will not allow for deviationLeadership on the other side of the coin will be of a negotiation mindset. They will be planning with the team. All hands will be involved and resources will be procured through cooperation Once again very different in the style but the end result will be the same
Creation goes, how do you determine how much content to put out on a weekly basis? So you're staying top of mind, but not being overbearing to your prospects. That's a really good one. And, and these all, you'll notice, Mike and I only answer questions, they normally start with a question. So the question would be, who is your avatar and what is their consumption method? So if you tell me that you're a photographer teaching people how to take photos on the weekends, well, if you give them eight new assignments during the week, it's not going to bode well because they only have one day a week to do it.But if you're in the health space or the supplement space, and you know that people take their health seriously, you get away with a free pass to post 8 to 10 times a day because that's how they consume information and that's how they hold themselves accountable. So you kind of have to really put the lens on of your customer and empathize with where they are and what's going to help them forward. So the first question I ask when I come up with. Content dissemination or social media dissemination strategy is basically, where's that fine line between this is like right in the fringe area of like, some people will get this in and some people won't, but it's not overwhelming and it still allows them to progress without pushing them away. And that's kind of where I start to insert myself. So like Mike, for example, you know, because we have the podcast and we teach entrepreneurship, we really have a hundred buckets to talk it. And so you know, there's maybe one bucket that talked about every four or five days, which means when somebody just wants email marketing, they get that they have a couple of days, they get another one.And the in between buckets are social media and paid media and business and entrepreneurship. So we have a very wide array of light to shine out, to bring people in. But if you have one focus, like you're a financial advisor, and that's all you're talking about. You kind of have to be empathetic to what their consumption modality is, like how they consume content, how much content they consume and use that. And I know that's not a strategic answer, but it is because that level of planning is what makes it successful. And one thing too, to think, just to understand, when you see a lot of social media dissemination, like you take Gary, you take Russell, you do a lot of it, or even us, what you're seeing normally is micro content. You're seeing like a singularly focused piece of content that is a part of a bigger picture, a bigger idea. And so from a big idea, we may be post one big idea week, but then all the other posts that day or that week are small pieces that lead them into that big idea. And it's really about understanding your avatar and what that looks like. And yeah, I'd love your thoughts on this Mike.So again, the question is how do you determine how much content to put out on a weekly basis? For me, it's never a question of quantity. It's quality. That's it. And if you look at the, the biggest Instagram Instagrammers, they've all got a methodology where it's something informative, followed by, you know, something formative and educational followed by something of kind of personal and lifestyle of letting you in to their life and creating that personal connection, breaking that barrier of the formality of a business and all of that stuff, but like, no, here's my me playing with my puppy dog or whatever. Followed by, let's just say an offer or promotion for something. So it's just quality. If I had the ability to send out something valuable every single day, I would send out something valuable every day. And that's what a Gora does. They're a billion dollar information company and for 20 years, their methodology and they've tested this like crazy, is that they know that the single best way to increase the new number of customers they get in, the amount of money that they make in sales that they make is by sending an email to there audience every single day because it creates a habit. Casey Neistat built his YouTube channel the same way as 12 million subscribers on YouTube, and he did it by creating a YouTube video every single day for three years. And what happens to people like me and millions of people started our morning watching Casey while we're eating breakfast every day. And so quantity is a great thing as long as it's entertaining or valuable to somebody and it's not, you know, asking for sale or something like that. So for me, that's, that's my answer is the more often the better. As long as it's bringing value or entertainment into their life. That's it.And I think too, Mike, I just want to add one short caveat to that. Like really one of the best questions to ask yourself is what I'm about to create gonna move my customer or potential customer one step closer to me or push them one step further away from meAnd when I tend to put that lens of a conversation on or that question on, it tends to make a lot of sense to me. But really you have to remember with social media, there's only one of five reasons that people engage consumer share. And it's either humor, controversy, credibility, education, or social status.Humor, controversy, credibility, education, or social status. And so yeah, you just get to ask yourself, is this going to help my customers move one step closer to me or push them away one step closer cause it's quality. Great. Am I giving them something in one of these buckets to help them to engage or to that and help share. And normally those two questions help pretty clearly defined what you kind of want to be posting, what the cadence should be in that. And so that's kind of like a quick wrap and a caveat to that one.So take deep dive into this and take notes. Give it a try & let me know how it goes for you and watch your business & life transform over time.
Welcome Back to Mindfully Rich Podcast! Since Mothers Day just pasted, I decided to do an episode dedicated to me Ma Ma Renee' and discuss some of the things I learned from my dear mother growing up!Now in the words of Tupac - “Pour out some liquor and I reminisce, cause through the dramaI can always depend on my mamaAnd when it seems that I'm hopelessYou say the words that can get me back in focusWhen I was sick as a little kidTo keep me happy there's no limit to the things you didAnd all my childhood memoriesAre full of all the sweet things you did for meAnd even though I act crazyI gotta thank the Lord that you made me”. I Love You Momma
This week we're looking at popular hymns of faith. Today's hymn is Just As I Am, which reminds us of John 6:37: "All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away."For our prayer, let's meditate on the opening verse of that hymn:Just as I am, without one pleaBut that thy blood was shed for meAnd that Thou bid'st me come to TheeO, Lamb of God, I come. I come. And Lord, we thank you for accepting us just as we are, with arms of love forever open to us. Amen. Here's link to this song performed by the brass band of The Salvation Army Corps in Pendleton, Oregon. Stopping By Woods On A Snowy EveningBy Robert FrostPerformed by Tal MinearWhose woods these are I think I know. His house is in the village though; He will not see me stopping hereTo watch his woods fill up with snow.My little horse must think it queerTo stop without a farmhouse nearBetween the woods and frozen lakeThe darkest evening of the year.He gives his harness bells a shakeTo ask if there is some mistake. The only other sound's the sweepOf easy wind and downy flake. The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep,And miles to go before I sleep. And miles to go before I sleep. BirchesBy Robert FrostPerformed by Tal MinearWhen I see birches bend left to rightAcross the line of straighter darker trees,I like to think some boy's been swinging them. But swinging doesn't bend them down to stay.Ice-storms do that. Often you must have seen themLoaded with ice a sunny winter morningAfter a rain. They click upon themselvesAs the breeze rises, and turn many-coloredAs the stir cracks and crazes their enamel.Soon the sun's warmth makes them shed crystal shellsShattering and avalanching on the snow-crust –Such heaps of broken glass to sweep awayYou'd think the inner dome of heaven had fallen. They are dragged to the withered bracken by the load,And they seem not to break; though once they are bowedSo low for so long, they never right themselves:You may see their trunks arching in the woodsYears afterwards, trailing their leaves on the groundLike girls on hands and knees that throw their hairBefore them over their heads to dry in the sun.But I was going to say when Truth broke inWith all her matter-of-fact about the ice-stormI should prefer to have some boy bend themAs he went out and in to fetch the cows –Some boy too far from town to learn baseball,Whose only play was what he found himself,Summer or winter, and could play alone. One by one he subdued his father's treesBy riding them down over and over againUntil he took the stiffness out of them,And not one but hung limp, not one was leftFor him to conquer. He learned all there wasTo learn about not launching out too soonAnd so not carrying the tree awayClear to the ground. He always kept his poiseTo the top branches, climbing carefullyWith the same pains you use to fill a cupUp to the brim, and even above the brim. Then he flung outward, feet first, with a swish,Kicking his way down through the air to the ground. So was I once myself a swinger of birches. And so I dream of going back to be.It's when I'm weary of considerations,And life is too much like a pathless woodWhere your face burns and tickles with the cobwebsBroken across it, and one eye is weepingFrom a twig's having lashed across it open.I'd like to get away from earth awhileAnd then come back to it and begin over.May no fate willfully misunderstand meAnd half grant what I wish and snatch me awayNot to return. Earth's the right place for love:I don't know where' it's likely to go better.I'd like to go by climbing a birch tree,And climb black branches up a snow-white trunkToward heaven, till the tree could bear no more,But dipped its top and set me down again. That would be good both going and coming back. One could do worse than be a swinger of birches. This podcast is powered by Pinecast.

In 2018 Jay z was like One of the key lyrics is when Jay says, "I said no to the Super Bowl: you need me, I don't need you. Every night we in the endzone, tell the NFL we in stadiums too.'Howerever Jay Z stated it wasn't a political but he didn't like the process. I think the process of selection was fractured,” Jay-Z said. Now that sounds like a bunch of BS to meAnd now he is partnering up with the NFL, and everyone around him is saying this is a good thing. Well I am sorry but Stephen from Django Unchained played an influential position in the movie, both feared and respected, but the world hated him.Let me ask this one question, what has Jay Z done to promote black people and provide a platform for reform and change.Panthers safety Eric Reid, a close friend of Kaepernick's, blasted the deal and tweeted that it was “disingenuous…to address social injustice while collectively blackballing Colin.” Reed also questioned the timing of the announcement, as it came on the heels of Dolphins owner Stephen Ross making headlines after he held a fundraiser for President Donald Trump, who has constantly peddled in racist rhetoric and referred to a generic kneeling NFL player as a “son of a bitch” in 2017. Don't get me wrong while his words are admirable, I don't stand by him or any other player or former player in the NFL.Kaepernick's girlfriend Nessa just needs to Stop Talking“His girl goes out and puts out this racist gesture and doesn't know we're in the back office about to try to get this guy to sign,” Lewis said on “Inside the NFL.”This deal with Jay Z is about the NFL regaining the ethnic following. I haven't watched the Superbowl in 2 years. This is what I believe the National Football League finds tolerable.DUI Arrest 224 Drug Possession Arrest 107 Domestic and Violence 104 This is just 3 out of 15 Arrest typesAnd Just because I canAldon Smith Currently unsigned Free Agent6 incidents Spanning over 8 years 3 dealing in Drugs, 2 DUI's 1 Gun 1 Disorderly Conduct and 1 Domestic ViolenceYet up until recent maintained a job….. That's very interestingIn 2017 871 Players that were playing were convicted felons, out of a league of 1696 825 don't have a criminal record. Now the numbers and the incident isn't the issue. The fact that Colin Kaepernick Denied work for 889 daysFor taking a KneeMore than 16 months after filing a formal complaint alleging that NFL team owners worked together to keep him off the field in the wake of his kneeling protest, former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick's collusion grievance against the league has concluded with a confidential settlement,Guilty, Guilty once again GuiltyWhat's crazy is that Americans will boycott any team that signs Colin KaepernickWhy is it ok for Police and kill, beat and or humiliateAnd the American People just say dang that's pretty messed up, but Oh Well.Ok I will concede Jayz was awarded the Present's NAACP AwardShawn Carter has been committed to shedding light on the issues that plague the black community including systematic racism and unjust treatment under the law, utilizing his global platform to create everlasting change But As quoted by Jay Z we are past Kneeling, Ok so where are we in Social Justice Reform, Separated with both sides digging in, Good Job NFL Divide and ConquerRoger Goodell is no fool, This whole thing is like a Card Game of Spades. Even Roger Knows you need a High Spade in your hand to offset the Kings and Queens in the deck.Which means Yeah Jay Z aka the deuce of Spades can influence the game However if you know spades there are two jokers that can simply shut it down. Roger Goodell is the Big Joker, the Owners are the little joker. And it doesn't matter if Jay Z get ownership or partial Ownership to a NFL team, but he will never, Never Never be in the inner circle. OH yeah Colin Who?It may seem that I am on board with the verbal annulation of Jay Z but I'm not. I am just saying what the prominent blacks in sports today won't sa --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/according-2-b-matthews/support
This week I am joined by the wonderful Ben Bidwell, also known as the Naked Professor. Ben is a life coach, personal trainer, meditation teacher, blogger and mental wellness advocate. He creates breathtakingly vulnerable images that encapsulate everything that he believes in; breaking the barriers of masculinity, being open and honest and inspiring others around him with kindness and compassion.Ben has ventured from a closed off, unemotional man who struggled with the typical view of masculinity and struggling to show the man behind the mask. Through his own self discovery he learnt to become vulnerable and now seeks to empower others to embrace themselves and not allow society to impose rules and define who we are.I absolutely loved my chat with Ben and everything that he embodies. “An alter ego gives you an amazing tool to tap into the creative imagination to allow you to unfold and see more of what you’re capable of.”This episode’s guest is an absolute rockstar. I picked up his new book a few weeks back and finished it within 2 days - which should be telling for the greatness that was shared here.Mr Todd Herman is a peak performance coach and serial entrepreneur who’s been mentoring elite performers in the world of sport and business for over 20 years. Through his treasure box of tools and philosophies, Todd is known for helping people achieve their most ambitious goals. And in this episode, you’ll discover one of his most powerful techniques - so you can use it for yourself. The technique I’m referring to is the use of an “alter ego”, which comes from Todd’s new book - The Alter Ego Effect.Alter egos are the “other you”. They are characters (or identities) you can ‘activate’ to demonstrate the mindsets, beliefs, and practices that enable you to take the actions required to achieve your goals. In this way, alter egos are a tool that give you enough confidence to overcome resistance and get momentum going. It’s how they can help you achieve really hard things. So if you know that there’s more in your tank and you get frustrated because willpower isn’t enough to take you over the threshold, you definitely want to listen to this episode.Understand the superhero effect of alter egos and you’ll empower yourself to achieve your most ambitious goals.“An alter ego for many people is often there to help you get past that initial resistance you may be having around pursuing something that’s new.”In this episode you’ll discover:What becomes possible for you and your life when you play with your alter egosHow ‘activating’ alter egos connects you with the same creative imagination that makes children believe they can be supermanWhy it’s healthier and more advantageous to be able to access multiple ‘selves’ rather than stick with a single identityHow Todd used an alter ego to manage his daughter’s tantrums (this is a must-hear technique for any parent!)The relationship between your ‘trapped self’ and your ‘heroic self’ (and how your alter egos help you shift from one to the other)What I loved most about this interview is the notion that the person you want to be is already inside.Todd explains that you’re not broken and you don’t need to be fixed. Instead, you simply need to chisel away at all the ‘stuff’ that isn’t you. That’s what alter egos will help you achieve and why it’s an essential tool for living an extraordinary life.So listen in now.For a deeper dive on this concept - grab yourself a copy of the The Alter Ego Effect too. I’ve read it, it’s incredible, and I’m sure you’ll love it too.“There is no one definition of who you are. You are the one who gets to decide who and what you are. Most people are simply walking around allowing other people to define who they are.”How to contact and connect with ToddYou can grab a copy of Todd’s book on AmazonFor more details of his work, visit toddherman.meAnd to follow Todd on social, check out:https://twitter.com/todd_hermanhttps://www.facebook.com/toddhermanconnect/https://www.instagram.com/todd_herman/One last thing… We thrive on your feedback, so if you’ve enjoyed this show, please rate us and leave us a review. Hello! In our 35th episode, we had a great time chatting with Nate Martin of Puzzle Break! We talk about his escape facility, Escape the Rubicon (his escape room on the Royal Caribbean cruise ship), and the escape room industry in general! For our parody, Codegreen (whom I call leader) was excited to write a Moana parody! So she sent us the lyrics and got Si Miu to sing it! Huzzah! You can find them and their reviews on Escapers 4G.And here are the lyrics for our parody song! ^_^I've been staring at the words on the paperLong as I can remember, never really knowing whyI wish , I could be a good escapistBut I know I'm not the greatest, no matter how hard I tryEvery step I make, every Braille I crackEvery code I break, every clue leads backHow am I so slow, why do I not knowHow to get the keySee the line of this code it's so hard and needs solvingOh I don't know, my brain has frozeAnd I think I will fail for this room is beyond meI'm not a pro, and I know my team's escape rate's kinda lowI know, we are working on these puzzlesthey are happy with these puzzlesEverything is well designedI know they are working on these puzzleswhat's my role with these puzzles?I dunno if we'll escape in timeI should solve not hide, I can see what's wrongI'm not satisfied to just play alongBut the voice inside says I take too longWhat is wrong with me?Shine the light on the wall I can see, it's tinyNo that's not right, use the black lightHere we go, there's a glow and it's pointing behind meAnd now we'll knowDo you hear that chime, are we out of time?See the line on the wall can you read it out to meJust let me know, try the comboBut the words, I can see, they are written in ChineseThe final code, we were too slow...
