Why would Paul — a man personally taught the gospel by Jesus himself — feel the need to check his message with other church leaders? In this message from Galatians 2:1–5, Dr. John explores why there is no such thing as private Christianity. True gospel ministry is never a lone ranger operation, and those who claim special revelation while refusing accountability are a danger the church has always had to resist. No Compromise: The book of Galatians was written because the gospel was under attack — and it still is today. From false teachers in ancient Galatia to the distortions we encounter in our own time, the battle over the heart of the Christian faith has never stopped. Join Dr. John for this four-part series as he works through one of Scripture's most urgent letters, asking what the true gospel is, where it comes from, and why getting it right changes everything.

Samuel Goulet teaches from Daniel 1, showing how believers can live for Christ without compromise in a world that constantly pressures them to conform. Through Daniel's example, this episode calls listeners to stay rooted in their identity in Christ, reject the values of the world, and walk in holiness, wisdom, and courage. It's a powerful reminder that following Christ faithfully means standing firm in His truth while still living with love and honor toward others.

"For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear." (2 Timothy 4:3 NLT) There was a time when we were bombarded by a one-sided view of God as an angry deity, ready to throw people into the open fires of Hell. People complained about too much hellfire-and-brimstone preaching. But when was the last time anyone has heard a hellfire-and-brimstone message? Sadly, the sermon “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God” that Jonathan Edwards preached in 1741 would not be allowed in many churches today. Many people have gone too far in the other direction, teaching that God is an all-loving, benign, supreme being that doesn’t seem to have any opinions about the way we live. The assumption is that as long as we’re true to ourselves, then it’s okay with Him. He accepts us the way we are. We like the qualities of God such as love, forgiveness, and compassion and the incredible fringe benefit of eternal life in Heaven. On the other hand, we’re appalled by a God of holiness who desperately loves us yet requires repentance as well as trust, a God who promises to judge those who refuse to come to Him on His terms. Others look at God as some kind of pagan deity who simply needs to be appeased. They think that if they go through religious rituals, they’ve done their part and they can build up credit for sinning that week. People can follow that god as much as they want. But that is not the God of the Bible. When we start picking and choosing the things about God that appeal or do not appeal to us, we are not only diminishing our view of who God is but also believing and teaching a false gospel. Some preachers today offer weak, watered-down proclamations in the name of the gospel. They tell you to believe, but they don’t tell you to repent. They tell you there’s a Heaven, but they don’t tell you there’s a Hell. And they tell you there’s forgiveness, but they don’t tell you there’s repentance. If we don’t include those things, then it isn’t the gospel. We cannot edit the gospel according to what we like or don’t like. It’s for us to share it as God gave it. Otherwise, we strip the gospel of its power and effectiveness. We cannot control what happens in the world. But at the same time, we cannot allow the belief system of a secular society to influence the way we believe. The idea is not to conform ourselves to the world’s way of thinking. It is not to bend the Bible to the culture. When we desperately want to please everyone and not offend anyone, we will fail to make an impact on our culture. When we start tampering with the essentials of our faith such as the Bible, the gospel, and the nature of God Himself, we are making God into a different image. The God of the Bible does love us and accept us as we are. But the God of the Bible also wants to change us. He wants to conform us into the image of Jesus Christ. Reflection question: What does it practically look like to share the full gospel—both grace and repentance—without compromising truth? I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Tuesday morning, the 10th of February, 2026, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go to the Gospel of John 18:31: “Then Pilate said to them, “You take Him and judge Him according to your law.” That is what you call “passing the buck”, compromising, and reneging on your authority. Do you know that Pontius Pilate was the representative of Caesar in Rome? He had the absolute authority to put the thumb up for life or to put it down which meant death. He actually said later on, “I find no fault in this man”. Yes, but they said, “We want you to kill Him.' They wanted the Romans to do the dirty work for them. They protested and Pontius Pilate realised he was about to have a revolution on his hands, an uprising, and he had very few soldiers in Jerusalem at that time. So what did he do? He compromised. Don't we do that, you and I? When the heat is on, and we think, “We are in trouble here”, we compromise. He got a basin, he washed his hands in front of all the Jews that were standing, waiting for judgement to be declared, and he said, ‘I wash my hands of this man. I have nothing more to do with him.” That is called the fear of man. Oh, folks, I want to tell you, it is a dangerous place to be, the fear of man. Because you are in a group of people who are blaspheming, people who mock God, a group of people who think they are just absolutely the best thing that ever happened, they are so brazen, so forthcoming that you just keep quiet. You know, there is a group of conservative followers of Christ where they have made Pontius Pilate a saint because they believe that he did nothing wrong. Well, maybe he didn't do anything wrong but he didn't do anything right either, did he? Remember, his wife had a dream the night before, and she came to her husband and said, “Have nothing to do with this man.” And he took her advice and he told the Jews, “You take Him away. You judge Him according to your law.” Today, people tell us that Jesus Christ is a fake. We can tell them, gently but firmly, “No, no. He is the Son of God.”Jesus bless you and have a wonderful day.Goodbye.

They’re calling it a school funding crisis, but the numbers tell a different story: since 2018, public schools have lost 270,000 students while state funding has hit record highs. Christian Education Network Executive Director Troy McIntosh joins David and Mike to explain that public schools don’t have the money problem they and their media mouthpieces keep pushing. Instead, Troy brings the data: districts are becoming increasingly top-heavy as they hire administrators while classrooms continue to lack resources. After the news, David Bereit Executive Director of the Life Leadership Conference and CCV's Senior Fellow for Strategic Initiatives Peter Range join The Narrative to issue a bold challenge to the pro-life movement: stop being pawns for political parties and start holding elected officials accountable. In this hard-hitting interview, the guys discuss why the sanctity of life is a non-negotiable standard that politicians don't get to define. As pressure mounts to be "flexible" on the Hyde Amendment, David reminds us that our ultimate accountability isn't to a platform, but to our Maker. TAKE ACTION Now is the moment to speak up using CCV.org. Through our Action Center, you can quickly contact Senators Moreno and Husted to encourage them to defend the Hyde Amendment. More About David Bereit David Bereit is an internationally respected pro-life leader, strategic advisor, and dynamic communicator. David’s pro-life journey began in Bryan/College Station, Texas, where he rallied 60 churches and thousands of volunteers to drive Planned Parenthood out of local schools, revoke their taxpayer funding, reduce abortions, and ultimately shut down the local abortion center—prompting Planned Parenthood to label his town “the most anti-choice place in the nation.” David went on to found and lead 40 Days for Life, growing it into the world’s largest grassroots pro-life mobilization. Under his leadership, the movement activated 2,000 leaders and 750,000 volunteers in 600 cities across all 50 states and dozens of nations, leading to 14,643 lives saved, 177 abortion workers leaving the industry, and 96 abortion facility closures. Recently, top pro-life leaders and philanthropists asked David to launch and direct the Life Leadership Conference—a groundbreaking initiative to unify and strengthen the pro-life movement through strategic coordination, shared messaging, targeted mobilization, leadership development, and a $30 Million venture fund to maximize collective life-saving impact. I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Sunday morning, the 21st of December, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in the Gospel of John 1:11: “He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.” Then we go to the Book of Isaiah 53:3: “He is despised and rejected by men,…”Are you feeling unpopular at this time of the year? It is the festive season, it's the time that people say, “Let's let our hair down and let's have a party!” Now, there is nothing wrong with having a party. I am talking about the office party, the end-of-year party, and let's go for it. And you say, “No, I don't sleep around. No, I am not a drunkard. No, I am not part of those filthy pornographic jokes.” And all of a sudden, you are not so popular, are you? And somebody said, I don't know if it was DL Moody or one of the great evangelists, he said, “If everybody has got something good to say about you, be sure Jesus has got nothing good to say about you!” It's funny, but it's not funny, is it?I am thinking particularly of the younger people today. When you become a senior man or a woman, people know who you are, whether you like it or not, you have been branded, but when you are a young person, you want to be in with the crowd, but you don't want to drop the ball, then you start getting tempted by the devil and he uses people. Matthew 12:30 says, “He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.” Basically, you can't serve two masters. Either you are serving the Lord Jesus Christ or you are serving the world. You don't have to try and become unpopular. All you have to do is stand up with a Bible and what it stands for, and you will automatically become extremely unpopular and criticised for lots of things that you have never even said. Tell me about it!Oh, but my dear friend, it is worth it all because that great day when the Lord comes again, it's not too far away, it will be wonderful when He can identify you from the crowd, when He says, “Well done, good and faithful servant. Come, come and enter into your rest.”Have a wonderful Christmas time without compromising your faith.Jesus bless you and goodbye.

“Boycotting is good, but building is better.” In this Detroit is Different conversation, Black Leaders Detroit CEO & Founder Dwan Dandridge breaks down what it really means to build a Black future funded by Black people—one dollar a week at a time. We talk about why a simple commitment like, “We should be able to prioritize five minutes to donate a dollar,” is not just crowdfunding, it's a direct continuation of the Million Man March energy where, as Dwan remembers, “They told us to pull out a dollar and said, ‘This is what they fear.'” Dwan walks us through how Black Leaders Detroit has moved over $5 million in no-interest loans and grants to Black-owned businesses, from barbershops to boutiques to natural hair pioneers like Textures by Nefertiti, proving that “$2,500 or $5,000 might not be a lot to some, but it can save a building, a legacy, and a block.” He also gets deeply personal—sharing how he flatlined in 2018, now lives with a pacemaker, and still chooses a leadership style rooted in sacrifice: “Everybody else gets to run to safety. If anybody goes under the bus, it ends up being the leader.” From telling funders “we don't do any ass kissing here,” to refusing to water down the name Black Leaders Detroit even as attacks on DEI rise, Dwan's ethic is simple: “I don't allow myself to want anything bad enough to compromise what's right.” This episode is about legacy Black culture as living practice—cooperative economics, spiritual courage, and the kind of reputation where, as Dwan says, “If I'm not who I say I am, I want to get exposed.” Detroit is Different is a podcast hosted by Khary Frazier covering people adding to the culture of an American Classic city. Description: In this episode, we'll explore what it means to aim for no compromise in psoriatic arthritis care—addressing both skin and joint symptoms with dermatologist and rheumatologist Dr. Saakshi Khattri and patient advocate Dayna Pham who lives with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.   Join moderator Jeff Brown as he asks how patients and their healthcare providers can work in partnership to create a comprehensive, personalized treatment plan that reflects the full impact of psoriatic disease with triple board-certified dermatologist, rheumatologist, and internist Dr Saakshi Khattri, who is also an NPF medical board member, along with Dayna Pham, a patient advocate and volunteer with NPF's advocacy and community engagement teams who is living with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. . Whether you're newly diagnosed or navigating long-term care, this conversation is all about advocating for care that supports your whole self—without settling for less.   The intent of this episode is to emphasize the need to be aware of psoriatic arthritis symptoms and once symptoms are present accept no compromise when treating skin and joints to obtain clear skin and painless joints.  This podcast episode is sponsored by UCB. Timestamps: (0:23) Intro to Psoriasis Uncovered and guest welcome dermatologist, rheumatologist, and internist Dr. Saakshi Khattri and Dayna Pham, a patient advocate and medical student living with plaque psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. (1:38) Psoriasis is more than skin deep with an inflammatory connection between the skin and joints. (3:03) The onset of psoriatic arthritis can be confusing. Healthy skin and joints should be the expectation without having to compromise on life's goals. (4:16) Knowing the association between psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis from the beginning is important to avoid delay in diagnosis and treatment. Be aware of systemic symptoms and discuss risks with a health care provider. (6:18 ) The goal of treatment is to achieve meaningful and lasting improvement in skin and joint symptoms.   (7:56) Treatments have evolved to target known drivers of inflammation in psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. (8:29) The IL-17 family is a key cytokine with 6 related signaling molecules. IL-17A and F play a role in the inflammatory process related to psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. (9:48) What discussion about treatment goals could include between a patient and health care provider. (13:19) If you have psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis you should feel empowered to speak up, seek answers, and find a treatment that offers no compromise on achieving clear skin and healthy joints.   Key Takeaways: ·       Psoriasis is an immune mediated disease that results in systemic inflammation that can affect        both the skin and joints. Unfortunately many people do not realize their joint symptoms may          be related to their psoriasis.  ·       The purpose of treatment which uses a variety of mechanisms of action targeting specific cytokines such as TNF-alpha, IL-12/23, IL-23, IL-17 is to achieve meaningful and lasting improvement in skin and joint symptoms. ·       If you have psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis you should feel empowered to speak up, seek answers, and to work with your health care team to identify goals and treatment choices that aim to preserve quality of life. Guest Bios:   Saakshi Khattri, M.D., MAS, is a triple board certified medical dermatologist, rheumatologist, and internist in the greater New York area who serves on the medical board of the National Psoriasis Foundation. She is the Director of the Center for Connective Tissue Diseases at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Khattri's area of interests include inflammatory and autoimmune skin diseases especially those with a rheumatology/dermatology overlap like psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.  She is actively involved in research and clinical trials for psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis where she seeks to identify immune pathways that lead to new biomarkers and treatments. Dr. Khattri is extensively published  in peer reviewed journals and is also a member of the International Psoriasis Council.                                                                                                                                                                  Dayna Pham is  a patient advocate, medical student, and volunteer with NPF's advocacy and community engagement teams who lives with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. Dayna's psoriasis journey began at age 21 when she discovered bumps on her back which became plaques. Within weeks her body was impacted head to toe with plaque psoriasis, at 40% BSA.  After being misdiagnosed and undertreated for a few months she eventually found a dermatologist who diagnosed her with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis and prescribed a biologic. She's 25 now and seeks to live her fullest life possible while balancing her psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. As a reggae revolutionary who rejected peace in the name of truth and justice, and an outspoken critic of the Jamaican government, Peter Tosh's refusal to compromise nearly cost him his life many times over. He tried to amplify his message by purchasing Jamaica's Radio One. He tried to protect himself by way of African bush doctors and medicine men. He spent years knowing there was a bullet out there with his name on it. And in 1987, when Peter Tosh was 42, that bullet found him. Murdered in his own home by someone he knew. But why? Revenge? Wounded pride? Or was it murder for hire? Who really silenced the great Peter Tosh? To see the full list of contributors, see the show notes at www.disgracelandpod.com.
