We live in a world obsessed with boasting, in accomplishments, appearance, and status. In this final study of Galatians, Dr. John examines Paul's closing words in Galatians 6:11-18, where Paul refuses to boast in anything except the cross of Christ. Along the way, Dr. John unpacks what real humility looks like and why the only thing that will matter, in this life or the next, is what Christ has done.No Compromise: The book of Galatians was written because the gospel was under attack — and it still is today. From false teachers in ancient Galatia to the distortions we encounter in our own time, the battle over the heart of the Christian faith has never stopped. Join Dr. John for this four-part series as he works through one of Scripture's most urgent letters, asking what the true gospel is, where it comes from, and why getting it right changes everything.

"Whatever one sows, that will he also reap." It's a principle Paul takes seriously, but not in the way we might expect. In this study of Galatians 6:6-10, Dr. John explains what it actually means to sow to the flesh versus sow to the Spirit, and why the reward we're working toward isn't comfort in this life but eternal life to come. Dude, this episode hit different. I sat down with Jacob Albaugh Tenet, founder of Tenet Products, and what started as a guy from Ohio racing four-wheelers turned into one of the wildest entrepreneurial grinds I’ve heard on this podcast — and that’s saying something. Jacob was a national champion ATV racer before he ever picked up a rifle. Then he had a kid, watched his buddy crash at 45 mph, and walked away from racing cold. He poured that same obsessive, pro-level mentality into western hunting — and that’s where this story really takes off. After blowing out his eardrums on a mule deer at 32 yards, losing an animal off a cliff because he couldn’t spot his own shot, and surviving a blizzard SOS situation in Idaho that he says changed his life, Jacob became convinced there had to be a better way to hunt suppressed without sacrificing accuracy. So he built one. In his garage. With a grinder and a welder. Five years, 87 iterations, seven pending patents, and a lot of 20-hour days later, Tenet Products exists — suppressors that combine brake-level recoil control with real suppression, at weights (5.1–5.9 ounces) that sound made up until you see the data. We talk about the midnight idea that led to the patented Horizon Brake System, why he thinks outsiders solve problems industry veterans can’t, the torture testing that’s put over 1,400 rounds through a single can, and what happened when Tenet showed up to Joseph Ewing’s massive 145-suppressor shootout in Montana against every serious competitor in the space. This one’s part origin story, part engineering deep-dive, part conversation about grit, faith, and what it actually takes to build something from scratch when nobody in the industry believes you. If you’ve ever thought about running suppressed in the backcountry, or you just love a good underdog build story — this is a must listen. This Episode Is Brought to You By: onX Hunt Remember the old Garmin Rino days when you could see your buddy’s location on the map out in the field? onX just brought that idea into the modern era — and made it way better. Head into the onX Hunt app, go to the new GoTrack section, and hit “Share Your Location” to see exactly where your hunting partner is on the map in real time. For decades, suppressor design has forced a trade-off — get recoil control from a brake, or get hearing protection from a suppressor, but rarely both without adding serious weight. Tenet’s approach of engineering the suppressor itself (not just the brake) for shot control is what let them break that curve. Passion-driven problem solving can outperform decades of industry expertise. Jacob had no suppressor background and no entrepreneurial ambition when he started — he was just trying to fix his own hunting setup. His point that someone solving their own problem out of obsession will often out-innovate someone doing it as a job is a great reminder for anyone building something in any industry. Recoil management matters more than caliber size for accuracy in the field. The current trend toward smaller cartridges (6.5s, 6mm) exists because lower recoil equals better shot placement. Jacob’s insight — that you can get that same manageability out of a 7 PRC or 300 PRC with the right muzzle system — means hunters don’t have to give up knockdown power to get accuracy anymore.

When God tells us to drive out the enemy, he isn't giving us a suggestion. He's giving a command. If we compromise—even for the people or things we love most—the very things we tolerate will become the tools the enemy uses to harass us. It's time to stop playing the name game, start standing flat-footed on the Word of God, and choose your hard.Episode Chapters:0:00 — Introduction: Israel's Journey from Bondage0:37 — Walking in Boldness (Numbers 33:3 & Acts 1:8)2:01 — The Choice of True Love vs. Witchcraft & Control3:36 — The 40-Year Delusion: Stop Chipping Away at Your Time5:27 — Drive Them Out: The Command to Destroy the Idols6:24 — Thorns in Your Side: The Spirit of Lunacy and Destructive Compromise8:36 — Put the Flesh to Death: Moving by Belief, Not Feelings9:40 — "MOREOVER" (Numbers 33:56) & The Trap of Family Compromise10:52 — Becoming a New Creation (2 Corinthians 5:17) & God Outside of Time12:17 — Pulling Down Strongholds & The Danger of "Another Jesus"14:18 — Living Sacrifices & Metamorphosis (Romans 12:1-2)14:55 — Choose Your Hard: Stand Strong for the Things of God16:06 — The Broadcasted Seed: Isaiah 55 & The Living Word17:05 — The 13-Year-Old & The Christian Carpenter: A Word That Never Leaves19:17 — Climbing Over the Word to Go to Hell19:50 — Coach for Christ Outro & Book Announcement: "Run At Them"Key Takeaways From This Message:Boldness Over Bondage: Israel walked out of slavery with boldness in the sight of their captors. Though he was called and gifted by God, he failed to live up to that calling because his heart drifted from God. Samson's story reminds us that a person can be chosen, gifted, and even used by God, yet still live disconnected from Him. If we're not careful, we can fall into the same pattern in our walk today. His life is a warning to guard our hearts and remain close to God so that we can finish well.

Through Daniel's example, this episode calls listeners to stay rooted in their identity in Christ, reject the values of the world, and walk in holiness, wisdom, and courage. It's a powerful reminder that following Christ faithfully means standing firm in His truth while still living with love and honor toward others.

"For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear." (2 Timothy 4:3 NLT) There was a time when we were bombarded by a one-sided view of God as an angry deity, ready to throw people into the open fires of Hell. People complained about too much hellfire-and-brimstone preaching. But when was the last time anyone has heard a hellfire-and-brimstone message? Sadly, the sermon “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God” that Jonathan Edwards preached in 1741 would not be allowed in many churches today. Many people have gone too far in the other direction, teaching that God is an all-loving, benign, supreme being that doesn’t seem to have any opinions about the way we live. The assumption is that as long as we’re true to ourselves, then it’s okay with Him. He accepts us the way we are. We like the qualities of God such as love, forgiveness, and compassion and the incredible fringe benefit of eternal life in Heaven. On the other hand, we’re appalled by a God of holiness who desperately loves us yet requires repentance as well as trust, a God who promises to judge those who refuse to come to Him on His terms. Others look at God as some kind of pagan deity who simply needs to be appeased. They think that if they go through religious rituals, they’ve done their part and they can build up credit for sinning that week. People can follow that god as much as they want. But that is not the God of the Bible. When we start picking and choosing the things about God that appeal or do not appeal to us, we are not only diminishing our view of who God is but also believing and teaching a false gospel. Some preachers today offer weak, watered-down proclamations in the name of the gospel. They tell you to believe, but they don’t tell you to repent. They tell you there’s a Heaven, but they don’t tell you there’s a Hell. And they tell you there’s forgiveness, but they don’t tell you there’s repentance. If we don’t include those things, then it isn’t the gospel. We cannot edit the gospel according to what we like or don’t like. It’s for us to share it as God gave it. Otherwise, we strip the gospel of its power and effectiveness. We cannot control what happens in the world. But at the same time, we cannot allow the belief system of a secular society to influence the way we believe. The idea is not to conform ourselves to the world’s way of thinking. It is not to bend the Bible to the culture. When we desperately want to please everyone and not offend anyone, we will fail to make an impact on our culture. When we start tampering with the essentials of our faith such as the Bible, the gospel, and the nature of God Himself, we are making God into a different image. The God of the Bible does love us and accept us as we are. But the God of the Bible also wants to change us. He wants to conform us into the image of Jesus Christ. I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Tuesday morning, the 10th of February, 2026, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go to the Gospel of John 18:31: “Then Pilate said to them, “You take Him and judge Him according to your law.” That is what you call “passing the buck”, compromising, and reneging on your authority. Do you know that Pontius Pilate was the representative of Caesar in Rome? He had the absolute authority to put the thumb up for life or to put it down which meant death. He actually said later on, “I find no fault in this man”. Yes, but they said, “We want you to kill Him.' They wanted the Romans to do the dirty work for them. They protested and Pontius Pilate realised he was about to have a revolution on his hands, an uprising, and he had very few soldiers in Jerusalem at that time. So what did he do? He compromised. Don't we do that, you and I? When the heat is on, and we think, “We are in trouble here”, we compromise. He got a basin, he washed his hands in front of all the Jews that were standing, waiting for judgement to be declared, and he said, ‘I wash my hands of this man. I have nothing more to do with him.” That is called the fear of man. Oh, folks, I want to tell you, it is a dangerous place to be, the fear of man. Because you are in a group of people who are blaspheming, people who mock God, a group of people who think they are just absolutely the best thing that ever happened, they are so brazen, so forthcoming that you just keep quiet. You know, there is a group of conservative followers of Christ where they have made Pontius Pilate a saint because they believe that he did nothing wrong. Well, maybe he didn't do anything wrong but he didn't do anything right either, did he? Remember, his wife had a dream the night before, and she came to her husband and said, “Have nothing to do with this man.” And he took her advice and he told the Jews, “You take Him away. You judge Him according to your law.” Today, people tell us that Jesus Christ is a fake. We can tell them, gently but firmly, “No, no. He is the Son of God.”Jesus bless you and have a wonderful day.Goodbye.

Instead, Troy brings the data: districts are becoming increasingly top-heavy as they hire administrators while classrooms continue to lack resources. After the news, David Bereit Executive Director of the Life Leadership Conference and CCV's Senior Fellow for Strategic Initiatives Peter Range join The Narrative to issue a bold challenge to the pro-life movement: stop being pawns for political parties and start holding elected officials accountable. In this hard-hitting interview, the guys discuss why the sanctity of life is a non-negotiable standard that politicians don't get to define. I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Sunday morning, the 21st of December, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in the Gospel of John 1:11: “He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.” Then we go to the Book of Isaiah 53:3: “He is despised and rejected by men,…”Are you feeling unpopular at this time of the year? It is the festive season, it's the time that people say, “Let's let our hair down and let's have a party!” Now, there is nothing wrong with having a party. I am talking about the office party, the end-of-year party, and let's go for it. And you say, “No, I don't sleep around. No, I am not a drunkard. No, I am not part of those filthy pornographic jokes.” And all of a sudden, you are not so popular, are you? And somebody said, I don't know if it was DL Moody or one of the great evangelists, he said, “If everybody has got something good to say about you, be sure Jesus has got nothing good to say about you!” It's funny, but it's not funny, is it?I am thinking particularly of the younger people today. When you become a senior man or a woman, people know who you are, whether you like it or not, you have been branded, but when you are a young person, you want to be in with the crowd, but you don't want to drop the ball, then you start getting tempted by the devil and he uses people. Matthew 12:30 says, “He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.” Basically, you can't serve two masters. Either you are serving the Lord Jesus Christ or you are serving the world. You don't have to try and become unpopular. All you have to do is stand up with a Bible and what it stands for, and you will automatically become extremely unpopular and criticised for lots of things that you have never even said. Tell me about it!Oh, but my dear friend, it is worth it all because that great day when the Lord comes again, it's not too far away, it will be wonderful when He can identify you from the crowd, when He says, “Well done, good and faithful servant. Come, come and enter into your rest.”Have a wonderful Christmas time without compromising your faith.Jesus bless you and goodbye.

He spent years knowing there was a bullet out there with his name on it. And in 1987, when Peter Tosh was 42, that bullet found him. Murdered in his own home by someone he knew. But why? Revenge? Wounded pride? Or was it murder for hire? Who really silenced the great Peter Tosh? To see the full list of contributors, see the show notes at www.disgracelandpod.com.
