What if you were told there's better concrete out there with more limestone than what's used in Type IL cement mixes? Sounds crazy, right? But that's exactly what we're exploring today with John Guynn and John Kline. In this episode, we explore ACI 211-7R and its potential to reduce cement content without sacrificing performance. Learn how adjusting particle size distribution, using admixtures, and understanding the water-cement ratio can improve workability and strength. Plus, get insights on the challenges and benefits of low carbon concrete, real-world applications, and the regulatory hurdles that must be overcome to make these innovations standard in construction. Don't miss it! What's Inside: Limestone reduces cement content in concrete mixes. ACI 211-7R provides guidelines for using mineral fillers. Particle size distribution and admixtures optimize performance. Real-world applications demonstrate the benefits of reduced cement mixes. Low carbon concrete excels in strength, workability, and durability. Regulatory challenges exist around water-cement ratios and limestone classification. Smarter material use can reduce costs and improve sustainability. Ongoing research is key to advancing concrete technology. Und was gibt mir Energie?

We dive into the grueling Barkley Marathons, where no finishers crossed the line this year, proving once again why it's called the "Race That Eats Its Young." Then, we unravel the wild story of Ryan Wedding, a former Olympic snowboarder turned fugitive, with the FBI offering $10 million for his capture as he's linked to a violent drug trafficking network spanning Colombia to Canada. We also break down the buzz around Jameis Winston, the former No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, now joining the New York Giants in 2025—could he be the veteran bridge to their next franchise QB? Plus, we spotlight Quincy Wilson, the teenage track sensation whose jaw-dropping speed and charisma have skyrocketed his popularity, making him a household name among sports fans and a social media darling. We also expose a secret food laboratory working to bypass the effects of Ozempic, as Big Food fights back against weight loss drugs by rewiring your brain to crave processed snacks. Along the way, we debate the best old guy phrases like "look what the cat dragged in," share a heartwarming golden retriever tale in our No Bad, No Sad segment, and revisit jaw-dropping moments like a photographer colliding with runners at the ACC Championships. When it comes to fitness, having a structured workout plan can make all the difference. It's not just about showing up at the gym—it's about knowing what to do, why you're doing it, and how to make progress. In this week's podcast, I share exactly how I design my workout plans to help you build strength, prevent injury, and create long-lasting results. Whether you're just starting out or looking to fine-tune your routine, I'll walk you through the key movements, why they matter, and how to create a plan that fits your life. Here's what you'll learn in the episode: Why strength training is so important (and often misunderstood!) Strength training goes beyond muscle—did you know it also boosts your immune system and supports mental health? I break down the lesser-known benefits that make it essential for long-term health. The key movement patterns you should focus on Push, pull, squat, lunge, hip hinge, core work, and rotation. These movements cover every major muscle group and help you move better in everyday life. I also share how to correct imbalances for a stronger, more resilient body. Full-body workouts vs. split routines I explain why I prefer full-body workouts over splits and how you can get great results with just 3 strength sessions a week. (Spoiler: you don't need to spend hours in the gym to see progress!) How to track your progress and why it matters Tracking your workouts helps you see where you're improving and where you can push harder. It also makes it easier to stay consistent and motivated over time. The power of finishers for a metabolic boost Finishers are quick, intense bursts of activity that I add at the end of my workouts to increase calorie burn and improve endurance. I'll share some of my favorites and how you can add them to your routine. Whether you're a beginner or more experienced, this episode will give you the tools to build an effective, balanced strength training plan that supports your goals. Ready to take your training to the next level? Start with small steps. Whether it's adding strength training for the first time or refining your technique, remember that consistency and progress are what matter most. -Tanja x P.S. Better late than never. You want deep dives? Today we're going DEEEEEEEEEEEP on finishers. Stevie is ranking Attitude Era finishers based on how much they actually hurt. Then Stevie will tell us his Top 3 Superkicks. The #1 spot might just surprise you! Stevie Richards spent a lot of time with Raven early in his career. Raven took a young Steven Richards under his wing (pun intended) but what was life as Raven's lackey actually like? In this episode, Stevie will talk in depth about Raven's influence on his career, the challenges in working with Raven and the other member's of Raven's nest as the group grew. In this week's smartboard segment, Stevie will break down "The Chair Shot Heard Round the World" Tommy Dreamer vs Raven at ECW Heat Wave 1995. What made the spot so important and what did both men do to make it so memorable? Stevie Richards surprised, entertained and informed the wrestling world in 2023 when he debuted the Stevie Richards' Wrestling Analysis YouTube channel to widespread critical acclaim. Combining his experience in the wrestling profession with his keen eye for detail and a passion for teaching fans and workers alike, Richards achieved over 100,000 YouTube subscribers in a matter of months with his short form videos explaining exactly what went right or wrong in a particular match or manoeuvre. With 30+ years working for nearly every major American promotion during their hottest periods (ECW, WCW, WWE, TNA), Stevie Richards is not only dusting off his patented whiteboard and marker to once again break down the psychology and physicality of this crazy business, but Stevie is now adding to his repertoire by debuting a weekly show, imaginatively titled The Stevie Richards Show. The "show" in The Stevie Richards Show is the key word - this will not be another run of the mill podcast recorded on Zoom, clipped up and posted 8 times a day on YouTube and featuring a disinterested ex pro wrestler out to make a quick buck. What makes The Stevie Richards Show a "show" will be the attention to detail given to every episode, including added on screen annotations, factoids, images and video and 4K camera set up to give the sharpest, best looking, broadcast quality videos on YouTube. Most importantly of all, The Stevie Richards Show's output will be about quality, not quantity. Every Friday, Stevie Richards and co-host James Romero (WSI | Wrestling Shoot Interviews, Story Time with Dutch Mantell) will discuss the latest news, delve deep into the wrestling profession with more detail and first hand experience than any other podcast, answer fan submitted questions and, yes, break out the whiteboard to break down the what went right, or wrong, in the wrestling world. The Stevie Richards Show debuts on YouTube and all podcast platforms on Friday, June 28th. YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/@StevieRichardsShow

Jared Fekete @feketejj is a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and an elite wrestler. He owns Sleeping Bear Jiu-Jitsu in Traverse City, Michigan and competes regularly around the midwest. He has an explosive style which he put on display in the 16-man 185 pound bracket at Midwest Finishers 19. Huge thanks to Omar Ocasio @omarocasio10p who runs Midwest Finishers and is the owner of 10th Planet Lombard. The winner of the bracket takes home $2,500 and the whole tournament is streamed LIVE on YouTube. Definitely worth watching just to see Kevin Beuhring's insane leg breaking skills. The sound of the break is haunting.
Barbara passed away before she could finish a sweater she was knitting for her great-grandson, Ethan. The sweater was entrusted to the hands of another avid knitter to be completed thanks to an organization that connects volunteer crafters—“finishers”—with those whose loved ones have departed this life before finishing their projects. The “finishers” lovingly invest their time and skill to bring closure to a task that provides comfort to those who are grieving. God appointed a “finisher” for the prophet Elijah’s work too. Elijah was lonely and discouraged at how the Israelites were rejecting God’s covenant and killing prophets. In response, God instructed Elijah to “anoint Elisha . . . to succeed [him] as prophet” (1 Kings 19:16). This ensured that the labor of proclaiming God’s truth would continue long past Elijah’s death. To show Elisha that God had called him to succeed Elijah as God’s prophet, Elijah “threw his cloak around [Elisha]” (v. 19). Since a prophet’s cloak was used to indicate one’s authority as God’s chosen spokesman (see 2 Kings 2:8), this act made Elisha’s prophetic call clear. As believers in Jesus, we’ve been called to share God’s love with others and “declare [His] praises” (1 Peter 2:9). Though the task may outlive us too, we can be assured that He’ll sustain the work and will continue to call other “finishers” to the sacred work of making Him known.
