Within 18 months after graduation, she was able to pay off over $25,000 in debt including student loans, save $40,000 and still make time for the things she loved like international travel. Jennifer has made it her mission and passion to help others do the same. Now ADLT 101 has provided thousands of young adults with relatable content via online resources and in-person workshops teaching financial literacy and personal development.  Meet MJ Bridges, a high school math teacher and HBCU graduate who resides in Atlanta, GA. MJ became “Young & Debt Free” August 16, 2019, after eliminating $96,942 of student-loan and consumer debt in 5.5 years. MJ’s success with debt elimination is credited to self-discipline and side-hustling. In the last 9 months alone MJ has side hustled over $26,000 from charging electric scooters such as bird and lime.  MJ believes having a purposeful and fun vision for life without debt has built a great deal of intrinsic motivation. MJ also believes habits such as journaling, acts of kindness, and mindful cardio keeps him motivated about his debt free journey.  In his debt free life, MJ plans to build his brand, Young & Debt Free and become a serial investor. People grow apart. Partnerships are no different. As the entity grows so do the people involved. While the hope is everyone evolves in the same direction, there are still times when someone’s road diverges from the rest.  This week’s episode of Words With KB podcast is an example of such. Episode 51: Meeting the parents has been a dramatic experience, I imagine, throughout history. The magic it takes to put two strangers in a place, AND they hit it off is enough to build a whole industry on. So, you find the one but it's not just that person that's going along for the ride. You're bringing together two entire families if you decide to get married. But let's not get so far ahead because first you need to meet the parents. Episode 49: Most relationships are not meant to be, will fail and both parties involved will have to move on. Cryptic start right? In the moment the break might hurt, but out of them comes the benefits of growth. A part of obtaining growth is looking back and dissecting the relationship. This can be done with or without your ex partner. This week, the Krü shows everyone how it’s done by dissecting a past relationship for what it was with both parties in the building. This honest conversation will give you a peak into the process of unpacking the past and will show how it is possible to be cordial with an ex. There are no fancy terms this week, but our special guest, Precious holds her own as she tells her side of her past relationship with KB.

Episode 48: Going to therapy is still seen as a taboo activity in the black community. Whether for it being perceived as a sign of weakness, lack of faith, or a costly expenditure many people pull back from the idea of going into a room with a stranger to talk about their problems. Only recently we are beginning to talk about mental health in an open space but, we are still in the earlier stages of that discussion . However, it is unquestionable there are benefits waiting for those who commit to the experience.
