What is the most petty or awkward break up you've ever witnessed or been a part of?
MTV's “Tuesday Night Takeover” heats up with an all-new season of Caught in the Act: Unfaithful. In Season Two, Tami teams up with suspicious lovers to catch and confront their cheating partners. After the investigation, Tami and our relationship coaches—featuring a special guest appearance by DJ Envy (host of The Breakfast Club and author of the bestselling book Real Life, Real Love)—advise our suspicious lovers on how to move forward. In the end, the suspicious lover can join forces with their partner's other lover or take them both down in an undercover ambush. Actress, Producer, Director, TV Personality, Comedian and Businesswoman, Tami Roman first rose to fame when she was cast on MTV's ground-breaking series, 'The Real World'. Tami is the creator of “The Bonnet Chronicles”, an Instagram account that features hilarious tell-it-like-it-is rants by Tami's alter ego, Petty Betty. Roman appeared in Reese Witherspoon's Truth Be Told, opposite Octavia Spencer for Apple TV; Carl Weber's The Family Business for BET; and Lee Daniels' The Ms. Pat Show for BET+. Her involvement in BounceTV's hit series Saints and Sinners had the most views in the history of the network. Tami recently starred in her own talk show for FOXSOUL network entitled “Get Into It” and she recently appeared on the Emmy Award-winning show, RuPaul's Drag Race, where she raised money for St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Leveling up her accolades, Tami also directed two episodes of the hit series UNCENSORED for TVOne, starring Keyshia Cole & music producer Stevie J.

“Follow the path of peace when we think about unhealthy relationships, not only with others but within ourselves. Some of us have toxic beliefs about ourselves, limiting thoughts, and self-sabotaging behaviors... Allowing yourself to really believe that you deserve the peace and kind of giving yourself permission to have a life that's full of it.” - Davia Roberts Welcome to Stay a While with Tommi Vincent! Ice Cube once said, “Check yourself before you wreck yourself” and while the song was a bop in the 90s, it still begs the question, “How often do we actually check ourselves?” Do we have the tools we need to recognize when we're being less than loving? When we're being petty? Do we know how to course-correct? And then, what about our boundaries? If others don't know how to check themselves, how do we set proper boundaries to maintain our peace of mind and forward movement? Well, of course, we're not just posing questions. We have Davia Roberts, a licensed professional therapist at the table and we're serving up some real talk on recognizing and navigating toxic behavior because nobody likes a Petty Betty. In 2020, the weight of our personal lives seeped into our careers more than ever. Some companies took note and made a commitment to integrating mental health and wellness into the company culture. I've had the pleasure to partner with companies like ServiceNow, Fidelity Investments, and Lululemon to develop therapeutic programming to support the mental health and wellbeing of their staff members. As a mental health consultant, I cultivate space for professionals to process their feelings and develop new tools for coping. Employees often share how they feel valued when leadership is willing to invest in their wellbeing. Plus, leadership notes the boost in morale. It's important to figure out or just start with the question, one, ‘What's really bothering me in this situation?', ‘What do I need to communicate as far as my hurt?', and ‘What do I need to communicate for my boundary or my need moving forward so we can have a healthy relationship?' And lastly, if that doesn't change, what am I willing to do about it?” - Davia Roberts “When you don't recognize that the environment that nurtured you, and, you know, formed you into the adult that you are, if you're not able to see the dynamics of that, the behavior you're learning is just going to carry over into your adult life, and into your relationships. And until you're able to see that for yourself, then you're not going to make the changes necessary to become an adult, and to be mature. ” - Davia Roberts “Yes, it is easier said than done. But I'm like, if you want something to be different, imagine or just revisit the discomfort you had when people use those same techniques on you when someone you cared about didn't speak to you for weeks when you didn't know what you did wrong, but you could feel the discontent and the strain in the relationship, even though you wanted to fix it.” - Davia Roberts See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Don't Be a Petty Betty - Believe Week Twenty Two by Pastor Troy Powell
We've all blown things out of proportion. Sometimes justly, other times, to make a point. But when is the line drawn between petty acts and self-preservation? Survival is more than the instinct to live, it is one that avoids pain, embarrassment, and harm of all forms. Join me in this morning's reflection where I begin to understand the fine line that exists between petty and liberal, as it relates to our unconscious behaviors. On this episode, we discuss the ongoing saga between Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. Allegedly, Aaron is now mocking the Packer's GM via text messages with teammates. He's also informing people he will not be a Packer for the 2021 season. Is Aaron being petty? Are you tired of hearing about this? We also delve deep into the Mayweather/Paul brawl that recently occurred. Was this all an act to get people hyped up for the upcoming fight? Was Jake being petty? Should Mayweather have just let it go? Is this all a scam to get people to make these two even more rich? Let's Discuss! In this episode, I discuss the wonderful news of Harry and Meghan's pregnancy. They announced their pregnancy on Valentine's day, just as Diana had done 37 years ago. The UK tabloids had a fit over it and have somehow created a brand new definition for the word privacy. Incan-fukkin-descent, indeed. The very next day, February 15th, they announced that they would be sitting down with none other than Oprah Winfrey in an interview. Gayle King has said that "nothing is off limits" -- this interview will be 90 minutes long. Soon after, there were reports of "the palace being fed up" with Harry and Meghan, saying there was "no way back" to the RF. As if... lol. Anyway, the tabs had a complete meltdown over that. Then Philip was admitted to the hospital. Finally, I discuss the events of Friday, the 19th. BP released a statement saying that Harry and Meghan would be removed from their royal patronages. Then twitter did its thing, dragging the Royal Family up and down the internet in the precise fashion they deserve. There's nothing more satisfying than pointing out the utter hypocrisy of Petty Betty and her people. I can assure you that Harry and Meghan aren't the problem here. They'll be fine. I'm not sure the British Monarchy will be, though. "Petty Betty and the Legion of Doom" is available everywhere. -- To find out more about how you can help those in Texas
Being petty is an art. And you can argue that being petty is being immature, but can we be honest and say that sometimes it's a necessary evil?? Did they play the short game and hit em with it right away? Or did they play the long game? Find out anywhere you get your podcasts! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/letsovershare/support

Today we discuss how to deal with pettiness and petty people. Sometimes we find ourselves confronted with situations that can either bring out the best in us or push us to our worse. What we won’t do is allow someone to control our emotions or cause a shift in our crown. Heads high at all times! So here are my tips on how we can shake off the petty and keep it pushin.
