He talks to us about fighting Tom Wilson, Tkachuk and Gaudreau leaving Calgary, winning in Tampa and much more. Connor McDavid is listed as day-to-day for the Oilers tonight in an important clash for VGK in the playoff chase. McDavid, who is third in the league with 130 points, missed practice twice this week after taking a hit from Blake Coleman of the Flames on Saturday. The Golden Knights still have plenty of other Oilers players that need to be marked in the contest. VGK is five points ahead of St. Louis and VGK still trails the Kings by a point, after Los Angeles lost at Anaheim Tuesday night. Bruce Cassidy said his team's attention to details has been slipping the past two games. The Golden Knights look to get back on track tonight. We look at the current standings and the battle for WC1. The Calgary Flames are 7-3-0 in their last 10. The streaky and stubborn Flames played with all of their might against the Edmonton Oilers and came out on top. Players like Blake Coleman and Rasmus Andersson play a big role in the team's morale through this rebuild/retool situation. Young players like Martin Pospisil, Connor Zary and Dustin Wolf will continue to make steps with their guidance. But right now, the Flames have this over inflated self-confidence. Locked On Predators - Daily Podcast On The Nashville Predators
Tonight the Nashville Predators host Jacob Markstrom and the Calgary Flames at Bridgestone Arena, and on today's Locked On Predators we preview this Western Conference matchup. The Preds were able to get the win over Connor Bedard and the Blackhawks earlier in the week, but there are some improvements Nashville needs to make to beat Blake Coleman, Nazem Kadri, and the Flames tonight. We'll share our keys to the game. One player who has been out of the Predators' lineup a lot this season is center Cody Glass. Glass has dealt with two significant injuries that derailed his start under Andrew Brunette, and today we discuss what the short term future may look like for Glass as he tries to work his way back into the lineup. We discuss the challenges this season has brought and what we think may be his strengths for the team. Finally, we share our picks for Nashville's NHL All Star. Who do we think the NHL will invite to Toronto in February, and if we got to choose a Preds All Star based on vibes alone, who would we send?Follow & Subscribe on all Podcast platforms…
