Welcome to a new season of Everything Compliance—Shout Outs and Rants. We have a new host, Adam Turteltaub, and a new panelist, Rebecca Walker, who joins returning regulars Jonathan Armstrong and Karen Moore for the next iteration of Everything Compliance Shout Outs and Rants. Adam shouts out to the Boeing documentary Free Fall and Peter Robison's book Flying Blind for lessons on culture, whistleblowers, and safety, and praises United Airlines for returning a plane to address a mechanical issue. Rebecca raises a compliance training dilemma: employees using company AI tools to answer test or “test-out” questions, which may look like cheating and undermine training records in an investigation, yet could mirror desired real-world behavior if employees are expected to consult policies, compliance, or an AI chatbot when issues arise. Jonathan recounts a scandal involving Scotland's First Minister John Swinney, including FOI-revealed travel costs (about £45,000 in flights and significant car hire) allegedly contrary to policy and justified as meetings in Kentucky. Karen shouts out to the 25 incoming Fordham MSL Introduction to Corporate Compliance students and reflects on the shift from accidental to intentional compliance careers. Everything Compliance Shout Outs and Rants is a production of the Compliance Podcast Network.

Ty Gibbs is officially a two-time NASCAR Cup Series winner! Gibbs conquered Iowa Speedway to score the second victory of his Cup Series career, and Kerry Murphey and Toby Christie are breaking down everything from a wild weekend in Iowa on this edition of The Final Lap Weekly. Then it's time for the NASCAR News of the Week from TobyChristie.com, and there's plenty to unpack. Kyle Busch's iconic M&M's Toyota is making a return — sort of — as NASCAR prepares for a nostalgic tribute that longtime Rowdy fans are going to love. Denny Hamlin wanted different brakes for Iowa, but NASCAR apparently wasn't interested in letting that happen. We dig into the controversy surrounding NASCAR allegedly threatening to create a “made-up rule” to prevent the change and what that could mean for teams trying to improve their cars. The NASCAR Cup Series point standings are getting shaken up, and one of the biggest stories is Tyler Reddick's sudden plunge down the standings. How much trouble is he really in as the season heats up? Then we turn our attention to New Hampshire Motor Speedway for a complete weekend preview. Who should thrive at the Magic Mile, which teams need a huge result, and could we see another surprise winner? Plus, Rowdy Dragon returns with his Fantasy NASCAR Picks for New Hampshire, giving you the drivers you need to consider before locking in your fantasy lineup. Hosted by Kerry Murphey and Toby Christie, The Final Lap Weekly delivers NASCAR race reactions, breaking news, analysis, controversy, fantasy NASCAR picks, and previews every week. Men's average testosterone levels have halved over the past 50 years, according to scientists who say society is facing a male fertility crisis. Rising levels of obesity and diabetes are expected to play a part, but the team behind the work suggest that environmental factors such as endocrine-disrupting chemicals – which can be found in various household items – and global heating could also be factors in the apparent striking decline. In his novel The Picture of Dorian Gray, Oscar Wilde tells the story of a handsome young man who makes a deal with the Devil—his soul, in exchange for eternal youth and beauty. But there is a portrait of Dorian in the attic of his house, and as he moves through the years with his handsome face not aging, the portrait ages—and it also begins to show the poison seeping through him as he lives his life in soulless, selfish pursuit of hedonistic pleasures. He drives a young woman to suicide and doesn't feel bad about it. He becomes more and more of a toxic force in the lives of the people around him. And when his friend finally calls him out on it, Dorian murders him. He couldn't bear the fact that his best friend could see him for what he really was—the true, monstrous face behind the handsome façade. It's a hell of a metaphor, and it's what we've said so many times on our show about narcissists: that they want to indulge themselves at the expense of everybody else, but would rather die than be exposed for it. Today's story is about a real-life Dorian Gray, a man who used his charm and charisma to lure in a talented, intelligent woman, only to throw her life into chaos and leave broken wreckage behind. Gordon does not like soccer at all, branding it a "terrible first draft" of a sport! Meanwhile, the New York baseball scene is in an absolute tabloid freefall: Mets owner Steve Cohen just nuked his own clubhouse by exposing toxic star feuds and a regressed farm system under David Stearns, while the bleeding Yankees are unmasked as lesser without Aaron Judge to save them. Add in a wild clash over Metallica versus the Beach Boys and a sneaky holiday prank caller who catches the hosts completely off-guard, and you've got a chaotic hour of radio that proves the holiday weekend drama is already off the rails!
The Yankees are suddenly spiraling, and Shaun Morash is no longer trying to talk himself out of panic. After a historically bad offensive stretch, fresh injury concerns, and a brutal showing against Detroit, the frustration around this team has reached a new level. Shaun digs into the warning signs that make this feel bigger than a typical slump, from Cam Schlittler looking human to the uncertainty around Aaron Judge's return. With the trade deadline approaching, he questions whether the Yankees can afford to wait for injured stars or if the front office needs to act before the season slips away.
Shaun Morash opens the phones as Yankees fans react to a stunning slide that feels all too familiar. The frustration centers on a team that keeps losing in different ways, with injuries, offensive failures, shaky defense, and growing questions about whether this group has enough to truly contend. Callers debate Cam Schlittler's struggles, Aaron Boone's messaging, Brian Cashman's trade deadline pressure, and whether the Yankees need a major move instead of another half measure. Shaun pushes back on the idea that a weak American League is enough comfort, arguing that the goal is not just reaching October, but building a team capable of winning the World Series.
The Yankees are in full crisis mode after a brutal offensive stretch, mounting injuries, and growing concern over whether this team is built to survive the summer. Shaun Morash sounds the alarm on a lineup that has gone historically cold and a fan base that is running out of patience. From Cam Schlittler showing signs of trouble to uncertainty around Aaron Judge's return, the conversation digs into why this feels bigger than a typical June swoon. The episode also touches on Steve Cohen backing David Stearns, Mets frustration, and why both New York baseball teams are facing major questions.

The St. Louis Morning Brief brings a string of local stories that hit close to home. A 35-year-old man is dead after a road rage confrontation on the Wing Haven Boulevard ramp off I-64 in O'Fallon — and Marc Cox and Kim St. Onge turn it into a real talk moment about why you never escalate behind the wheel, sharing their own terrifying close calls with road rage truckers. Then Governor Mike Kehoe drops the budget axe — nearly $500 million in vetoes, including a police training facility in O'Fallon, a St. Louis County communications center, $190 million less for schools, and no across-the-board raises for state employees. Marc reminds the education lobby not to blame Kehoe when they already gambled their windfall on online gaming revenue that never materialized. And St. Louis Public Schools announces it's closing 20 buildings and gutting magnet programs — the latest chapter in a dysfunction story Marc's been watching since 1993. Plus the Festus data center controversy shrinks from a 12-building monster to a 4-building compromise after massive community pushback and a council recall fight that's now headed to court. The US-Iran-Israel war is reshaping the Middle East in real time — and most people have no idea what's actually happening. Jillian Michaels sits down with military historian and geopolitical strategist Victor Davis Hanson for an unfiltered breakdown of the crisis. Iran is threatening the Strait of Hormuz. Oil prices are spiking. Hezbollah is escalating. And Donald Trump is under fire from Congress, the media, and fractures inside his own coalition. The window to prevent a wider regional war is closing fast. Is Iran capable of backing down — or is regime collapse inevitable? Has Trump strengthened or undermined American deterrence? And are we watching the beginning of World War 3 — or the final chapter of the Iranian regime? Victor Davis Hanson breaks it all down: Trump's Iran strategy — is it working? Iran's nuclear program and the enrichment red line Why Gulf States are quietly aligning with Israel The Israel-Hezbollah escalation timeline The conservative foreign policy civil war — Tucker vs. the hawks China and Russia's role in the crisis Campus radicalization and the mainstreaming of anti-Semitism Whether America can avoid another endless war This isn't punditry. This is the history, the military calculus, and the geopolitical architecture that will define the next decade. #VictorDavisHanson #IranWar #Trump #IsraelIran #MiddleEast #WorldWar3 #IranNuclear #Hezbollah #Netanyahu #Geopolitics #ForeignPolicy #Trump2026 #OilPrices #China #Russia #TuckerCarlson #MegynKelly #AntiSemitism #Israel #MilitaryHistory CHAPTERS 00:00 Intro 02:45 War Powers Act Showdown 04:50 Iran's Economy in Freefall 07:45 How Modern Warfare Actually Works 11:11 Will the Iranian Regime Survive? 15:55 The Trump-Netanyahu Leaked Call 19:45 Drone Warfare Is Rewriting the Rules 22:20 Gulf States Quietly Pick a Side 26:00 Europe's Deterrence Is Already Dead 29:00 Anti-Semitism's New Home 33:15 China and Russia: Opportunity or Alliance? 42:50 The Right Is Fracturing on Foreign Policy 50:15 How the Middle East Captured American Academia 54:40 The Progressive Media Bubble 59:21 What "Neocon" Actually Means 01:03:40 The Human Rights Hypocrisy Nobody Talks About 01:07:35 Why Trump's Political Comeback Is Bulletproof Learn more about your ad choices. David Rothkopf and Daily Beast executive editor Hugh Dougherty break down the growing signs of political and personal collapse surrounding Donald Trump, from brutal new polling numbers and deepening economic anxiety to accusations of corruption, authoritarianism, and a White House increasingly lashing out at critics. The conversation moves from Trump's legal maneuvers and mounting scrutiny over his finances to the administration's attacks on the press, evangelical power plays in Washington, and what Rothkopf describes as Trump's simultaneous political and physical “free fall.” Along the way, they unpack the GOP's loyalty to a weakening president, the culture of grievance and grift driving MAGA politics, and the fears inside Washington that Trump's behavior is becoming more erratic as pressure closes in from every direction.
