He talks about the pressure a catcher is under based on which pitcher he is catching and why that relationship is so crucial. Later (20:00) Ben recaps a wild weekend of golf between the debut of LIV at the same time as the RBC Canadian Open. We hear from Phil Mickleson today who is in Boston and will play in the US Open this weekend. Finally (27:00) we head to Denver where Frank Seravalli is covering The Stanley Cup. He feels a Tampa win would make them the greatest team in NHL History. Then, Andrei Vasilevskiy, if he wins a 3rd in a row should also enter the discussion for the greatest goalie ever. He points to a team winning in a bubble season, a shortened season with realignment and then a full 82-game season in 2021-22. There is always fun stuff to talk about during the offseason and Hunter starts the show off by touching on the latest trade rumor surrounding John Marino. Frank Seravalli put him on his "trade bait" board for the offseason as it sounds like teams may come calling again for the defenseman this offseason. Does it make sense for the Penguins to move him? What would have to happen beforehand so that a move makes sense? What are the cons to moving him? Hunter answers all of those questions before diving into what a return could look like. He touches on how his value around the league could be higher than what some fans think because certain teams value players differently. Following that, he discusses a potential forward that the Penguins could go and get: Jesse Puljujarvi. Ken Holland is said to be open to making some trades this season and Hunter proposes one that could make sense for both sides. He also goes into the pros and cons for the move (though most of it centers around why it makes sense). Finally, Hunter reviews Tristan Jarry's season and what fans should expect from him heading into 2022-23. Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! It's a long weekend, the sun is shining, and the Oilers have a 2-1 lead in the Battle of Alberta. Life is good and we enjoyed it all today on a new episode of The Real Life Podcast. We were also joined by our good friend Frank Seravalli, who's in town to cover the series between the Oilers and Flames. Frank talked the Oiler's absolutely electric game three victory and making the drive from Calgary to Edmonton. Connor McDavid is on another level right now and the numbers that he's producing are absolutely historic. We talked about the magical run that he's on but don't get it twisted, even though the Calgary Flames may like to believe this is a one man team, it's not. The Oilers are getting contributions from plenty of other pieces of this lineup. We gave love to everyone who deserved it today on the show. Frank and Chalmers also talked about story telling in sports and they reminisced about the fact that Frank beat Chalmers in a golf bet last summer. Chalmers is itching to even the score and win back his money. That bled into a little bit of talk about this years Oilersnation Open!

It's Friday afternoon and that means we're hitting you with a brand new episode of Oilersnation Radio to help you finish off what's left of your week with an hour of all things Edmonton Oilers. On today's show, we talked about the Oilers dropping Game 5, the Oilers pushing the series to a seventh game, and a whole lot more. Kicking off this week's podcast, we got started with a look back at the disaster that was Game 1 and what the boys need to do to get back on track in tonight's rematch. From switching up the lines to tightening up defensively, there is plenty of room for improvement for a team that did not look very good at all. If the Oilers plan on stealing a game in Calgary, there is no shortage of items on the to-do list that the boys need to check off. From there, we welcomed Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli to talk about the series and the news he broke today that Darnell Nurse could be battling a core-muscle issue that may require surgery to correct in the offseason. Lastly, we wrapped up the Friday edition of the podcast with another round of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold performer.
