The DOJ and FBI, with the help of Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart signing off a vague, non-particularized search warrant, really do not want a third-party Special Master to see what they took from President Trump's residence at Mar-a-Lago.  A couple days after Judge Cannon appointed a Special Master to review all the documents the FBI should (not) have taken, such as medical and attorney client privileged documents, DOJ has now filed an appeal to 11th Circuit stating the Special Master should not see the seized and stolen documents due to “national security.”  I think we have heard that line before. Remember the Patriot Act and FISA courts?  That didn't turn out too well for us ordinary citizens. DOJ is undefeated on every jury trial case on every count in Washington D.C. against J6 defendants.  With the judges in D.C. and the jury pool that voted 94% in favor of Biden, J6 defendants are getting worked over.  Julie gives us an update on the J6 cases with one of the biggest sentencings coming up. The FBI, I mean Adam Fox and Barry Croft Jr., were on trial again for the alleged kidnapping of Governor Whitmer.  Last time a jury could not come to a decision, this time they found both men guilty, even though there was clear evidence of FBI entrapment.  Julie goes into the trial and the motion for new trial as the defense attorney discovered juror misconduct.

With Jacob Trouba carrying an annual cap hit of $8 million for the next four seasons and his full no-move clause becoming a limited no-move clause in two years, is it inevitable that he will be traded before his contract expires??? We're giving Trouba props for what he's done for this team while also looking at some reasons why a deal might eventually be inevitable. With the incredible emergence of guys like Adam Fox, Ryan Lindgren and K'Andre Miller and the defensemen with considerable upside such as Braden Schneider, Nils Lundqvist, Zac Jones, and others, does Trouba become slightly more expendable?? Could he already have been traded if not for his full no-move clause??? And if he was traded, would the Rangers have been in on players like Nazem Kadri, Johnny Gaudreau or Patrick Kane. Plus, we continue Draft Spotlight by looking at the Rangers third-round pick: center Bryce McConnell-Barker!! What does he bring to the table, and was this a good pick for the Rangers??? Episode 647. In episode number 49 Tom and Rob recap the Rangers entire 2022 season with particular attention to how the club played during the Stanley Cup Playoffs. * The Team exceeded all expectaions for the regular season and appears to be ahead of schedule with the rebuild. * How do you grade the teams performance during the playoffs ? Yes, they did defeat the Penguins and Caines but both of those clubs had significant injury issues in goal and in the case of the Penguins with Crosby as well. So how good are the Rangers ? * Would the final grade and perception of the team be as positive if they had lost to a healthy Penguins or Caines in the first or second round of the playoffs? * Finally, what moves should the Rangers make during the off season to advance the teams prospects for 2023 ? Do they go the organic route and encourage the development of the kids including Othmann and Cuylle or trade off some of the their better prospects for seasoned veterans that can potentially make an immediate impact ?

Rangers are absolutely dreadful in all facets of the Game during an embarrassing 7-2 loss in Pittsburgh and now find themselves in a 3-1 series hole. While Igor Shesterkin obviously hasn't been good in the last two games, the Ranger team defense has completely disappeared. The Penguins have improved on their early-series weaknesses (slow starts, lack of offensive production from depth lines), while the Rangers have not (bad defensive structure, unnecessary penalties, inability to clear pucks, poor shifts after a goal is scored). Gerard Gallant breaks out the dreaded “s-word” and calls the Rangers' performance “soft”… and he's not wrong. Igor Shesterkin or Alex Georgiev in Game 5??? Rangers play with a lack of intensity, despite being up against their biggest rival and desperately needing a win. Rangers need more from their star players, including Artemi Panarin, Mika Zibanejad, Chris Kreider, Adam Fox and pretty much everyone. Rangers losing the all-important special teams battle. On this episode of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast, it's crunch time as you continue your season-long quest for a fantasy hockey championship, and Elan and Brian are here to talk about the upcoming week's most relevant players and how they can (and cannot!) help your team to victory. The show starts with a preview of the Keeping Karlsson Ultimate Patron Fantasy League finals matchup between Elan and Mark, who joins us on the show to talk about the season he's had and share some takes on players catching our attention for the final week. After that, we ask and answer: Is Mark Stone worth activating immediately once he's in the lineup? Which Montreal and Winnipeg skaters give you the best chance to take advantage of those teams' off-day schedules? Has Jesper Bratt lost his lustre? Does Auston Matthews need to go first overall in next year's fantasy drafts? Can slumpers Adam Fox, Mat Barzal and T.J. Oshie make themselves worthwhile before your fantasy season ends? How many Blues can you count on to carry you to the end of the season? What does "reify" mean? ..and more! Want to stay up to date on all the latest NHL line combos and fantasy news? Developments in two legal stories: First, Donald Trump's xenophobic henchman Stephen Miller just filed a lawsuit to try to stop the House select Committee from subpoenaing his cell phone records. In the suit, Miller reveals that he's still on his parents' cell phone plan. Miller's legal claims in the suit are frivolous, and his lawsuit is a transparent attempt to to delay matters. In Michigan, a trial is underway against the four men who plotted to kidnap Governor Whitmer. The prosecution's opening statement made clear the the case against the defendants is strong. The attorney for the ringleader, defendant Adam Fox, told the jury in his opening statement that his client is a "hapless, pot-smoking misfit." Only the best people . . . This video reviews these two legal developments.
