Boomer, Pinder and Rhett get into a heated debate following the blockbuster Brady Tkachuk trade to the Florida Panthers. While the trade itself is massive, the conversation quickly shifts to a bigger question facing Canadian NHL markets: do elite players still want to play in Canada? The guys discuss whether there is a growing trend of American-born stars preferring to play in the United States, how factors like taxes, lifestyle, media pressure and endorsement opportunities impact player decisions, and whether Canadian teams are fighting an uphill battle when it comes to attracting and retaining top talent. They also debate which stars would actually choose a Canadian market if given the option and whether this is becoming a real problem or simply an overreaction to a few high-profile moves. From Brady Tkachuk to Connor McDavid and beyond, this conversation covers one of the most fascinating topics in hockey today. Is Canada becoming a tougher sell for NHL players, or are fans reading too much into the latest headlines?
