The Sports USA NHL analyst on the Stanley Cup Final, Will the Panthers keep the Cup in Florida (?), Do the Oilers have good enough goaltending (?) + more
In today's episode, we start off by discussing Pete DeBoer's departure from Dallas, and give some thoughts on the first two games of the Stanley Cup Finals. Then, we take a deep dive into situational awareness, and how to improve at applying the skills you develop into game situations for success. Decision making in the split seconds of a game is a tough skill to develop as directly as technique or simple saves, but it is what separates goalies at the higher levels. We explain the best ways to develop skill application and decision making in-game so that goalies can have a direct process to follow when improving these skills. Thank you so much for listening. Die NBA Finals zwischen den Pacers und OKC sind im vollen Gange, Da immer so viel Zeit zwischen den Spielen ist, schieb ich mal eine kleine random Folge ein. Viel Spaß!
The Stanley Cup Final rematch between the Panthers and Oilers will begin Wednesday after nearly a week-long layoff, giving players rest but leaving everyone itching to play. Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl appear calmer and more mature under the bright lights and the pressure of expectations this playoff season. The Oilers appear confident, despite missing Zach Hyman, while Florida enters the Finals healthy and battle-tested. Goaltending could be pivotal, with Stuart Skinner now facing a crease-crashing Panthers team and Sergei Bobrovsky posing a tougher test for Oilers shooters. Coaching styles also clash: Maurice is philosophical and chatty, Knoblauch quiet and methodical. With deep lineups and playoff experience on both sides, who will the X-Factors be... and what are Ray & Dregs Stanley Cup Final predictions?See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In episode #300, we celebrate the milestone with a very special guest: LA Kings Director of Goaltending Bill Ranford. Not only was Ranford one of the original presenters at our TCS Live coaching conference back in 2012, he'll be returning to the stage in June for this year's edition of hockey's premier coaching conference. And top it off, he is the childhood hero of our host Aaron Wilbur. Ranford has spent the last 19 seasons with the Kings, 17 as the goaltending coach and the last two as Director. As a goalie, he led the 1990 Edmonton Oilers to a Stanley Cup with a Con Smythe performance. He also led Canada to the 1991 Canada Cup and helped his country capture its first Gold Medal in over 30 years at the World Hockey Championships 1994. Listen he shares why detail and work ethic have to be the foundation of every player's game, giving new tools over change, and why goalie's need to have their own unique identity.

With the Detroit Red Wings season post-mortem well-documented, we take a look at what Steve Yzerman's top priority should be for Hockeytown this offseason: getting scoring help for Dylan Larkin, Lucas Raymond, Alex DeBrincat, Patrick Kane, and Marco Kasper in the form of Marner, Ehlers, Bennett, or Marchand?
