In früheren Jahrhunderten war es völlig unüblich, ohne Kopfbedeckung, also ohne Schleier, Tuch oder Hut das Haus zu verlassen. Und wer etwas auf sich hält, wie man früher sagte, tut es auch heute noch. Eine alte Dame hier im Städtchen würde nie ohne Hut sonntags in die Kirche kommen und auch sonst ist sie immer mit passendem Hut zu Mantel oder Kostüm ausgestattet. Manche kennen noch den Ausdruck "gut betucht sein". Ganz klassisch bedeutete es tatsächlich, in besonders guter Kleidung zu sein und wenn man sich gute Kleidung, gutes Tuch leisten konnte, hatte man genügend Geld, war also gut betucht.Aber mit den Hüten ist es ganz anders. Wenn man sagt: "Der ist aber gut behütet", dann ist tatsächlich nicht gemeint, dass er besonders teure und edle Hüte trägt. Das habe ich früher tatsächlich bei diesem Wort immer gedacht. "Bleiben Sie behütet", das sagt immer mal am Ende eines Vortrages ein Exerzitienmeister. Was heißt das denn dann? Im Netz habe ich mehrere Bedeutungen gefunden: auf etwas Acht geben, es bewachen, sichern und vor Schaden schützen. Auf jemanden Acht geben, aufpassen, betreuen und vor Unangenehmem bewahren. Also bedeutet dieser Wunsch des Exerzitienmeisters: Bleib bei dem Gedanken, dass Gott dich beachtet, auf dich achtet, vor Schaden bewahrt, dich sicher geleitet und beschützt."Wer unterm Schutz des Höchsten steht, im Schatten des Allmächtgen geht" ist eines der vielen Lieder, die genau das besingen und dem Singenden zusagen, dass er daraus Mut und Zuversicht und Hoffnung schöpfen kann, weil da einer ist, der mich behütet. Also egal ob du Tuch oder Kapuze, Schleier oder Kopftuch, Helm oder Hut aufhast, bleib unter Gottes Schutz wohl behütet.

Station des Kreuzweges als die Frau, die Jesus ein Tuch reicht, mit der er sich Blut und Schweiß aus dem Gesicht wischen soll. Jesus tut es und hinterlässt dabei aber nicht Blut und Schweiß auf dem Tuch, sondern einen Abdruck seines Gesichtes. Mit der Heiligen Veronika ist also das Phänomen des Heiligen Antlitzes, das auf geheimnisvolle Weise auf Tüchern zu sehen ist, in der Tradition eng verbunden. Eines dieser Tücher ist das Muschelseidentuch von Manoppello. Wo das Wunder hier zu suchen ist, muss kaum erklärt werden, das Bild eines Gesichtes in beinahe hochauflösender Qualität, über Jahrtausende auf einem Gewebe ohne zu verblassen oder durch die Zeit Schaden zu nehmen. Markus van den Hövel, seines Zeichens Richter von Beruf, ist vor einigen Jahren auf das "Volto Santo" gestoßen und hat sich in einem kleinen Büchlein "Die Causa Manoppello" anhand von Zeugenaussagen mit dem Geheimnis dieses wundersamen Tuches aus Muschelseide auseinandergesetzt. Mit ihm begeben wir uns auf die Spuren des 'Volto Santo' - auf die Spuren menschlichen Antlitzes Gottes.

Ich weiß nicht wie das bei Dir ist, ich mache sehr gerne Hausarbeit. Kochen, Backen, Spülen, Waschen, Bügeln sind wunderbare Sachen, bei denen die Gedanken schweifen können und bei denen mir immer die besten Ideen kommen. Sogar beim Putzen. Wenn ich in der Küche stehe und überall die Fingerabdrücke an den Armaturen von Herd, Mikrowelle und Spülmaschine sehe, nehme ich sofort ein Tuch und putze es, damit es schön sauber und glänzend ist. Fingerabdrücke sind Spuren meines Tuns und des Tuns meiner Mitschwestern in der Küche und an anderen Orten im Haus. Und da kommt die Frage nach den sonstigen Spuren meines und unseres Tuns ganz normal in den Sinn. Wo und wie hinterlassen Du und ich und wir Spuren, die deutlich machen, was wir arbeiten, denken, mit Engagement gerne machen?Die Lesung heute aus dem Römerbrief gibt da einen interessanten Gedanken für den Tag mit. Da heißt es: Das Reich Gottes ist nicht Essen und Trinken, es ist Gerechtigkeit, Friede und Freude im Heiligen Geist. Und wer Christus so dient, wird von Gott anerkannt und ist bei den Menschen geachtet. Lasst uns also nach dem streben, was zum Frieden und zum Aufbau (der Gemeinde) beiträgt. Soweit die Lesung. Frieden und Freude zu bringen geht ja nur, wenn ich mit mir selbst halbwegs in Frieden und Freude lebe und daran auch arbeite, wenn es mal schwierig und kompliziert ist. Es gibt durchaus auch fromme und eigentlich geistliche Menschen, die weder eine freundliche noch eine friedliche Ausstrahlung haben. Der Jesuit Pater Eberschweiler hat einmal einen sehr schönen Satz gesagt, den ich gerne zitiere: "Die Heiterkeit und Freudigkeit des Herzens will ich zu bewahren suchen, um dadurch allen zu zeigen, einem wie guten Herrn ich diene.“ Daran zu arbeiten und den Heiligen Geist um seine Mithilfe zu bitten, ist immer möglich.

Zimmerpflanzen mit glatten, glänzenden Blättern wie zum Beispiel der Baumfreund: Topf mit Plastiksack einpacken und dort, wo die Triebe aus der Erde wachsen, zuschnüren, Pflanze in die die Dusche stellen und mit lauwarmem Wasser abspülen. Zimmerpflanzen mit grossen, glatten Blättern wie zum Beispiel das Fensterblatt oder lang gewachsene Kletterpflanzen wie zum Beispiel der Baumfreund: Blätter mit einem feuchten Tuch abwischen. Wenn die Zimmerpflanzen von Schädlingen wie Blatt- und Schildläuse befallen sind, werden mit einer sanften Dusche die meisten der Tiere weggespült und klebrige, verunreinigte Blätter werden wieder sauber. Vorsicht bei Zimmerpflanzen mit samtigen, weichen Blättern wie z.B. das Usambaraveilchen und das Zimmer- Alpenveilchen: Hier ist das Duschen nicht geeignet, aber es hilft das Abstauben mit einem feinen Pinsel.
