Nach ihrer Scheidung lebt Susanne B. (41) allein mit ihrem Sohn Micha. Zu ihm pflegt sie eine enge, liebevolle Beziehung. Doch ihr Sohn steckt mitten in der Pubertät, und in letzter Zeit scheint er auch auf Erkundungstour zu sein. Eines Tages, als Susanne sein Bett frisch überziehen will, findet sie Damenstrümpfe darin. Zunächst misst sie dem Fund keine große Bedeutung bei. Zwei Jahre später erlebt sie dann etwas, das sie völlig aus der Bahn wirft: Als sie unangekündigt sein Zimmer betritt, überrascht sie Micha dabei, wie er in ihre Kleider schlüpft und in ihren Pumps und Strümpfen wühlt. Für einen Moment traut sie ihren Augen nicht. Micha, sichtlich beschämt, flüchtet sofort in sein Zimmer und schließt sich ein. Verwirrt und verunsichert fragt sich Susanne: Ist mein Sohn vielleicht schwul? Sie versucht, das Gespräch mit ihm zu suchen, doch Micha blockt ab, geht ihr aus dem Weg und dann geschieht sogar das Unfassbare: Der minderjährige Micha verschwindet – vier ganze Tage lang. Susanne ist außer sich vor Sorge. Schließlich findet ihn die Polizei vor einem Club wieder. Zwar kehrt Micha nach Hause zurück, doch das Verhältnis zwischen Mutter und Sohn bleibt angespannt. Das Geschehene wird totgeschwiegen, beide vermeiden das Thema Frauenkleidung wie ein rotes Tuch.
