The Edmonton Remand Centre is a large provincial pre-trial detention facility in Alberta, Canada, designed to house individuals awaiting trial or sentencing. Opened in 2013, it is one of Canada's largest, with a capacity for 1,952 inmates, and operates solely through video visitation rather than in-person visits. Christopher will talk with us about his experience being held without cause, without sight and by a government that was in argument with the Trump Administration at that time and which may have wanted to establish its authority.
