Women's Health and Lactation Educator, Bonya Matthews, has worked in this field for years. Often she watched as the technical information shared in conferences and community groups overwhelmed already stressed out moms. She decided to do something about it and wrote her book "20 Checklists: Feed Your Infant for Free and Lose Weight" to provide simpler trainings in the new life and organizational skills a new mom has to learn on the job. The checklists cover a range of topics for infant and toddler care such as bonding with baby, how to set up a lunch milk station, weaning your baby, 20 baby dates and dealing with staying at home. She also discusses groups that help support new moms, new product ideas, along with the other topics. Bonya presents this information in a fun, up-beat manner. She calls the book her business card for the private lactation counselling, adulla information, and community appearances she makes throughout the community. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/susan-sherayko/support

There lived a certain man in Russia long ago. He was big and strong, in his eyes a flaming glow. Most people look at him with terror and with fear. But to Moscow chicks he was such a lovely dear. He could preach the Bible like a preacher, full of ecstasy and fire. But he also was the kind of teacher women would desire.OK – that doesn’t have a ton to do with the actual Rasputin, but man it’s a fun 1978 Euro disco hit single by the Germany-based pop band Boney M. That’s where we start week 2 of our exploration of Rasputin. And while his eyes might not have actually been aflame, his supernatural reputation continues to precede him. Was he really a mystic healer? Did he actually eat enough cyanide to kill a small town without the slightest effect? How many bullets can you put into a “mad monk” before he goes down? We stay in Russia this week as we explore the death and legacy of everyone’s favorite miscreant – Ra-Ra-Rasputin. Plus, Conspiracy Bot admits a penchant for crocheting (we don’t know), Brent spends a little too much time researching…lil Rasputin (again, no idea), and John drops a Bonya and Kuzmich reference (we give up). All of that and more on the podcast that doesn’t always get its hosts back, but when we do – we aren’t sure they were better than the replacements - Hysteria 51.Special thanks to this week’s research sources:Research Assistant - Raymond Walden IVBooksRasputin: Faith, Power, and the Twilight of the Romanovs | Douglas SmithRasputin: A Short Life | Frances WelchThe Big Black Book of Government Conspiracies | Andrè RavenSkül VenåsVideosSimple History - https://youtu.be/JXdbseRz0lcCloud Biography - https://youtu.be/ev5dNfRncFoRasputin - https://imdb.to/2SAJ5qLRa Ra Rasputin - https://youtu.be/aiSdTQ9DW9gWebsitesGrigori Rasputin - https://bit.ly/2SDuB9wPierre Gilliard - https://bit.ly/30t3akPLA Times - https://lat.ms/2MTHOaPInternational Encyclopedia of WWI - https://bit.ly/2Q4kIQuTsar - https://bit.ly/2F9kfWRHistory - https://bit.ly/2ZDJ46PKhodynka Tragedy - https://bit.ly/2MF29AnAlpha History - https://bit.ly/39mq3dvTsar Nicholas II - https://bit.ly/2EZPdAZRa Ra Rasputin lyrics - https://bit.ly/2toua97TIME - https://bit.ly/367MykzThe Awl - https://bit.ly/37o7u7bWebsters Dictionary - https://bit.ly/2ZzgALpAlexander Palace - https://bit.ly/363FSmPLocal Life – https://bit.ly/2MFAH5CKhioniya Guseva – https://bit.ly/3aMhMAw

“Let Bangladesh revoke the citizenship of these enemies of Islam! If not, we will hunt them down in whatever part of God’s world we find them and kill them right there!” These words appeared on a kill list of about twenty secular bloggers in Bangladesh, published by the Islamic terrorist group Ansarullah Bangla Team. One of the names on the list was Raihan Abir, who joins us on this episode of Secular Jihadists. Raihan's friend and colleague, Avijit Roy, with whom he co-authored their book Philosophy of Disbelief, was hacked to death by Islamic fundamentalists with machetes in early 2015. Also hacked to death the same year were Washiqur Rahman, Niloy Neel, Ananta Bijoy Das, Faisal Dipan (Raihan's publisher), and several others. "I knew it was my turn," Raihan said chillingly at the time. And he was right. After escaping several threats to his life, this brilliant young editor of Mukto-Mona, a Bengali/English blog on freethinking and science co-founded by Avijit and his wife Bonya, eventually found refuge by moving his family to Canada. In 2016, Raihan Abir won the PEN Canada/Ken Filkow Prize for showing extraordinary courage in opposing restraint on freedom of expression and ideas. This is an incredible story from a real free speech hero. Don't miss this.
