Tune into this episode of the Punch Drunk Soul Podcast where I interview 4 coaches who've started their businesses in the last few years and are seeing success to the point where many have quit their jobs and are living their individual versions of their dream lives. You'll hear from Path to Freedom AND Scale with Soul Alumni including: Morgan Meese who is a physical therapist, wellness coach, and business consultant. After trying a job in corporate healthcare right after school, she quickly realized that she wanted more out of life than a 9-5 job that only left her with tons of anxiety and depression, and a broken heart over not being able to care for patients in the right way. She moved on to the world of self-employment and found that starting her own coaching business alongside a cash-based physical therapy practice made her feel alive again and supported her financial goals. Morgan's Website: www.morganmeese.com Allison Filipiak who is a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, specializing in helping her clients heal their gut. After healing her own chronic pain and digestive issues, Allison found a passion for health coaching and went all in on her business. Within a year of starting she was able to leave her teaching career and build a life that truly fulfills her and aligns with her personal, business, and health goals. She's now married, takes Fridays off and is on track for replacing her teaching income through coaching! Allison's Website: www.allisonanncoaching.com Mariah Cannon who is a firecracker of a coach in her early 20's and has already replaced her 9-5 income and quit her job in just her first year of coaching. Mariah is an emotional support coach who helps Millennial women move past PTSD and trauma from their past. She's dedicated to supporting her clients on their mental & emotional journeys of overcoming their past and stepping into their confident selves. Mariah is an inspiration for us all as she's applied the deeply transformative mindset and somatic tools we've taught her to move through severe depression and find joy on the other side. Mariah's Website: www.ownyourtrauma.biz Christina Dean who is a creative yoga teacher and certified health coach. While working a high-stress corporate job, she struggled with poor health, eczema, insomnia, depression, low self-esteem, anxiety, adrenal fatigue, and hormone imbalance, and eventually hit rock bottom. It was through her darkest hours that she was led to work with a health coach and in no time, her life transformed for the best. Since graduating from Path to Freedom Coach Accelerator and Scale with Soul, Christina has purchased her dream property in Mexico, pivoted careers, coaching consistently, instructing high-end yoga clientele, and can work remotely from anywhere. Good thing since she'll be moving to Mexico soon with her man living that digital nomad coaching life

Rental fashion is in the spotlight when it comes to climate footprint. A new study suggests it might not be the silver bullet as once thought, but environmental journalist Lucy Siegle cautions the study is too limited to give a blanket judgment on the rental industry overall. Meanwhile, Christina Dean, of the charity Redress, argues that the potential for rental fashion marks a revolutionary step in the way we think about our clothing. Eshita Kabra, founder of By Rotation, the world's first social fashion rental app, says people around the world could easily solve the fashion industry's problem with the clothes already in their wardrobe. And sustainable stylist Susie Holland argues that there is a wealth of value stored up in second-hand and recycled clothing. (Picture: Clothes hanging in the wardrobe. Picture credit: Getty Image.)

Today I'm speaking with Christina Dean who is a holistic mindset and confidence coach specializing in helping introverted women gain the confidence they need to stop self-doubt and start making their dreams reality. Christina actually went to health coaching school with IIN but through Path to Freedom she realized that she wanted to close that health-centered chapter altogether because it wasn't soul aligned! For years Christina felt like a compass without a bearing; lost, depressed, and unworthy. Eventually the emotional stress began to impact her physical health to the point where she developed debilitating panic attacks, insomnia, and eczema. She invested in a functional health coach and the rest is history! That investment changed her life and inspired her to become a certified yoga teacher, integrative nutrition health coach, and now confidence coach.   She blends her deep knowledge of holistic healing for the mind, body, and spirit to coach women who feel stuck and unfulfilled so they can start taking action in their lives with confidence and courageous self-compassion.    I love Christina's story because her and I have SO many similarities and experiences. So I can't wait for her to share her journey with you all.    Christina is a recent graduate of our Path to Freedom Coach Accelerator program. She graduated a few weeks ago with her first 2 paid coaching clients and has since been growing her coaching business as a member of our mastermind, Scale with Soul.   Before we dive into the interview I want to remind you - if you haven't grabbed it yet, head to punchdrunksoul.com/coach101 to grab my free guidebook for new and aspiring coaches who want to start profitable coaching businesses without a certification.    If you're called to share something with the world and you want to be of service to others THIS is for you. ⁣ There's no magic bullet that's going to help you build a 6-figure coaching business but if there was one, THIS would be it. ⁣ ⁣ Inside this guidebook I share the secret that all successful coaches use to set themselves apart from allll the coaches out there ⁣ I created it about a year ago after I'd spent time mapping out ALL the things broke coaches do that keep them stuck and the #1 thing they really SHOULD do to propel them forward. ⁣ ⁣ I also include my 5-Step Path to Paid Clients Framework in this guidebook AND a fill-in-the-blank template for you to make this secret easier for you to implement on your own. ⁣ ⁣ You have a mission, you have a purpose, you have a message to share. So share it & don't stop now. Go to punchdrunksoul.com/coach101 to grab that!   Aha Moments:   How Christina healed long-term, debilitating physical illness like eczema, panic attacks, and insomnia How Yoga was her gateway to healing and this coaching journey How to use your mind to shift health issues Why we need to understand our bodies and emotions before we can truly heal What does it really take to start a coaching business How to manage the risk of investing in yourself so it's more manageable Overcoming the comparison trap as a new coach and business owner

‘Single-use’ was named the Word of the Year for 2018 by the Collins Dictionary. Now that we know the oceans are choking with plastics, disposable has become a dirty word. We also know, there is no away. Nothing that uses synthetic materials is ‘disposable’ – it has to go somewhere. Out of site, out of mind is a total copout. But what about so-called "disposable fashion"? Single-use fashion is perhaps a stretch – but we’re not a million miles away. Clothing usability is declining. Stats vary, but according the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, the average number of times a garment is worn before it ceases to be used has decreased by 36% compared to 15 years ago. In the US clothes are worn for around a quarter of the global average. The same pattern is emerging in China, where clothing utilisation has decreased by 70% over the last 15 years ago. Do you know how much fashion we throw away? Clothing production about doubled during that time; we now produce around 100 billion garments a year. Of the total fibre input used, 87% ends up landfilled or incinerated. Why have we become so wasteful and how can we turn it around? This week’s guest thinks we need to reconnect with fashion's soul. She is Christina Dean, fashionwaste warrior and the founder of Redress, a Hong Kong-based NGO that works to reduce fashion waste. A former journalist, Christina is also the co-author of Dress [with] Sense (a consumer guide for the conscious closet), and the hosts of documentary series, Frontline Fashion.  Our shownotes are packed with links and extra information.  THANK YOU FOR LISTENING. She drops a whole lot of knowledge on us about the effects of the fashion world on our environment, that without a doubt will move you to make different decisions about what you wear and buy.
