BONUS EPISODE: There are over 400 National Park Sites outside of the 63 National Parks. This episode invites us deeper into the heart of the National Park Service where Eric Leonard, Superintendent of the High Plains Group (four National Park Sites across Colorado & New Mexico with a narrative arc tying them all together) shares his extensive experience across a wide array of national parks, historic sites, national monuments, etc. This episode is unique in that it doesn't focus on a specific park but highlights riveting stories and fascinating new information -- this episode may take the cake in regards to one I learned the most in, and I am confident you will feel that way too. Stories and sites (you'll have to listen to the episode to hear these teasers in full detail) include riding in a helicopter at Guadalupe Mountain National Park, going from the deadliest place in American soil (Andersonville National Historic Site) to a nuclear Armageddon (Minuteman Missile National Historic Site), to a full on rivalry between University of Oklahoma and University of Texas alumnae and to the acknowledgement of the power of Texas Pride (and unique fact that National Parks in Texas are unicorns in that federal land is hard to come by in the state).Tune in for the journey.
,The Light Gate” welcomes researcher/author Christopher O'Brien. Date: January 8th, 2024 Episode: 37 Discussion: High Strangeness in the San Luis Valley About The Guest: Since 1992, Christopher O'Brien has investigated over one thousand paranormal events reported in the San Luis Valley--located in South-central Colorado/North Central New Mexico. Working with law enforcement officials, ex-military, ranchers, and an extensive network of skywatchers, from 1992 to 2002 he documented one of the most intense waves of unexplained activity ever reported from a single geographic region of North America. His ten-year investigation resulted in the three books of his "mysterious valley" trilogy, The Mysterious Valley, Enter the Valley, and Secrets of the Mysterious Valley. His meticulous field investigation of UFO reports, unexplained livestock deaths, Native American legends, cryptozoology, secret military activity and the folklore, found in the world's largest alpine valley, has produced one of the largest databases of unusual occurrences gathered from a single geographic region. He is currently working with a team of specialists installing a high-tech video surveillance and hard-data monitoring system in and around the San Luis Valley. His 2009 book Stalking the Tricksters distills his years of field investigation and research into an ingenious unified paranormal theory that is sure to create intense interest and controversy. His latest book Stalking the Herd (600 pages) is being called "The Bible of cattle mutilations books" and has received dozens of positive reviews. It is the first book on the subject that objectively examines the unexplained livestock death phenomenon—one of the most perplexing mysteries of our times. He has also written many articles for such publications as Open Minds, Fate Magazine, UFO Universe, UFO encounters and many others. (He's also an accomplished musician!) His media credits include “Coast to Coast,” and all the other major radio shows and podcasts. He has appeared on TV shows such as, Ancient Aliens, Weird or What, Conspiracy Theory and UFO Hunters. He has worked with such shows as, Sightings, Inside Edition, Extra, Showtime's Sci-Friday Chronicles, UFO Files, Exploring the Unknown, The Unexplained, Secrets of:, Profiles in Ufology, Unexplained Mysteries and so many others. He is the recipient of two EBE film festival awards. He also hosted his own regional Colorado/New Mexico radio show, Mysterious Valley Report (1996-1999), and published the bi-monthly Mysterious Valley Report (1993-2000.) He is a sought-after speaker at UFO conventions, so we are lucky to have him joining us tonight! LINKS: http://ourstrangeplanet.com https://www.facebook.com/christopher.obrien.3363

Since the 1980's a story has persisted about a jointly-operated human and alien underground facility underneath the Archuleta Mesa on the Colorado–New Mexico border near the town of Dulce, New Mexico. From inside this 7-layer deep underground facility come stories of human-animal hybrids, humans working with Draco reptilians, vast underground tunnels connecting all of the US and oh so much more! But are these stories true or are they a product of the greatest disinformation campaign ever conducted on the UFO community by the US government? ---------- Support the show and get bonus UNHINGED episodes ----------(NEW) ROKFIN - https://www.rokfin.com/ConspiracyPilledLOCALS - https://conspiracypilled.locals.com/ODYSEE - https://odysee.com/@conspiracypilled:1 MERCH - https://hawkhoundmedia.com/conspiracyJoin the DISCORD - https://discord.gg/vq2QtU2bUh ---------- SPONSORS ----------NORTH ARROW COFFEE - https://northarrowcoffee.coUse code CONSPIRACY10 to get 10% off your order!HEALTYCELL https://healthycell.comUse code CONSPIRACY for 20% off Conspiracy Pilled Links – https://conspiracypilled.com ------- FOLLOW THE HOSTS ------- Abby – https://solo.to/abbylibbyPJ – https://solo.to/pj_unhinged Music by : Drake Campos #aliens #disinformation #cattlemutilation Sources11 States Baffled by Mutilation of Cattle - https://www.nytimes.com/1975/10/30/archives/11-states-baffled-by-mutilation-of-cattle.htmlEx-Air Force Law Enforcement Agent Says He Hoaxed Major UFO Mythologies - https://www.huffpost.com/entry/exair-force-law-enforceme_b_5312650The Disturbing Mysteries Surrounding New Mexico's Dulce Base - https://allthatsinteresting.com/dulce-baseThe Dulce Papers - https://stillnessinthestorm.com/the-dulce-papers-complete-series/

Deep in north central New Mexico is the sleepy little town of Dulce. Located on the Archuleta Mesa on the Colorado - New Mexico border, Dulce is home to about 3,000 residents and is the headquarters of the Jicarilla Apache Nation. For as small and insignificant as this remote location may sound, since the 1980s Dulce has been the center of a controversy regarding the so-called alien agenda, rumors of underground tunnels and related conspiracy theories.
Good Morning, Colorado, you're listening to the Daily Sun-Up with the Colorado Sun. It's Monday July 19th. This year, Colorado lawmakers passed a bill requiring school districts with Native American mascots to make a change or face thousands of dollars in fines. Today - Colorado Sun contributor Sue McMillin joined reporter Jesse Paul to discuss how districts are reacting to the new law. Before we begin, let's go back in time with some Colorado history adapted from historian Derek R Everett's book “Colorado Day by Day”: Today we're going back to July 19th, 1879 when Colorado finally found its state limits. For years surveyors worked through rugged terrain to define Colorado's straight boundaries. But it turns out, they're not actually straight. All four edges meander from their course to some extent. In fact, a study done in 2018 suggested that as a result of the surveying challenges Colorado has no fewer than 697 sides. That makes it a hexahectaenneacontakaiheptagon. Now, our feature story. Only a few of Colorado's public schools still use team names such as Redskins, Savages, Warriors and Indians. But a new state law says all of them must figure out how to rebrand with names and mascots that don't misuse Native American images. They have until June of 2022 to complete the work or face $25,000 per month fines. Colorado Sun contributor Sue McMillin has been following the issue for almost a year. Last week, she went to Lamar, where the high school teams and even local streets carry the Savages name. She explained to reporter Jesse Paul how fraught the discussion of changing is, even sparking threats of lawsuits to avoid complying with the new law. To read more about how Colorado schools are rethinking their team names, visit coloradosun.com. Thanks for listening. Finally, here are a few stories you should know about today: Drought in the West is so severe and persistent that large reservoirs in Colorado, Wyoming and New Mexico must for the first time release water to replenish Lake Powell. The Bureau of Reclamation on Friday said about 2.5 million acre-feet of water that was projected to flow into Lake Powell has effectively disappeared because of drought. Water levels at Lake Powell are so low that there is a risk that turbines on the huge hydro electric plant will have to stop turning. Flaming Gorge Reservoir in Wyoming and Blue Mesa Reservoir near Gunnison will begin releasing water in August. Navajo Reservoir, which straddles the Colorado-New Mexico border, will send water starting in November. The reservoirs will in total send about 175,000 acre-feet of water, enough to raise Lake Powell by three feet. Business leaders shocked University of Colorado economists with record high optimism about the state's economy, sales and hiring. The most recent quarterly Colorado Business Review reported a third of the 250 business leaders polled said their sales never decreased during the pandemic. Another 19 percent said sales have returned to pre-pandemic levels. Most said they expect their company's employment to return to pre-pandemic levels sometime between September and the end of 2022. The researchers from the Leeds Business Research Division at CU also said Colorado's real gross domestic product fully recovered from the recession by March 31. Plague has been confirmed in a sample of fleas collected as part of the investigation into the death of a 10-year-old La Plata County girl on July 5. San Juan Basin Public Health said the fleas were tested by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The local health department said it is reaching out to people who live in south central La Plata County, near where the fleas were collected, to remind them to take precautions against the disease, including the use of veterinarian-approved flea control products for domestic animals. Plague, which is treatable, is caused by bacteria that can be transmitted to humans by the bites of infected fleas or by direct contact with infected animals. Plague has been found in animals in multiple Colorado counties this summer. For more information on all of these stories, visit our website, www.coloradosun.com. Now, a quick message from our editor. In 1936, Colorado Governor "Big Ed" Johnson declared martial law in an attempt to close the Colorado/New Mexico border. In this episode, we unravel the historical context of this one decision, touching on issues of race, labor, and immigration that speak to the United States' current political moment as well.
In this episode we discuss research that showed a 70% decrease in bird deaths when just one wind turbine blade was painted black—is this a real effect or do we need to do more studies? We also go in-depth discussing vortex generators for wind turbine efficiency, and whether they actually live up to the 1-3% AEP claims made by companies that sell them. We also discuss WhalePower and whether a turbine blade design inspired by the humpback whale’s dorsal fin can make it to market. All right, welcome back. This is the uptime podcast, episode 25. I'm your cohost, Dan Blewett. And I'm joined here by. Lightening protection expert, Allen Hall, Allen, how are you? Dan, uh, just another crazy busy week in wind turbine world. Uh, so when he got on the list of news for the week, well, to start off with news, we've got some bird strike, uh, mitigation techniques, old ones, old school, AKA paint, um, where it's talking about a barrage of a lightning in Oklahoma, which I'm curious on your take about this because obviously. You know, a lot of climates, pretty conducive, delighting somewhere, not so much Oklahoma doesn't strike me as one. That's crazy, but maybe I'm wrong along here. Um, and then our engineering segment, we got some more animal inspiration. So whale power, so well inspired leading edges, which is really interesting and unique. And then we're also gonna talk about vortex, generators, bunch and internet of things, devices that can help detect faults in the field. So. First let's talk about, uh, let's, let's talk about Oklahoma. So 30, 30,000 strikes, uh, within eight miles or flashes. So I know there's a difference there, but what did, what was your take on this story out of the Washington post? Um, why such a barrage of, of, of lightning strikes and maybe because of the Washington post doesn't. See a lot of weather like that, but the Midwest particularly between, so if you know your geography, like a sort of mid middle of Kansas South, all the way down into Texas, um, and even a little bit further North and in Nebraska can be really, really huge thunder storms. I mean, I mean, tens of miles of thunderstorms and if the. If the weather is right and it's hot and you've have enough fuel in the air. And it starts to usually come in from the sort of the Colorado New Mexico area, it starts to build up and yeah, and look out, uh, or in this case, West, Texas, you know, it starts building up and you can get these huge storms if they start to churn and that, and it happens at the right time of day. You get these gigantic hailstorms, which, and then in terms create all these lightning strikes and that is not abnormal. I think we're just paying more attention to it now. But if you ever, if you have the opportunity to drive through the middle of the United States and wonder all the trees are that they're all the trees are small young. You don't see old trees there it's because the hailstorm. Wipe them out. If they get trees of any certain size they're going to come down. And at one point years ago, this is probably five ish, 10 years ago. Now once you start to hit with a huge. Um, hailstorm and just wiped out all the little trees just completely devastated the city. So this is not unusual. I think the number of, and likes to be able to count them as unusual but 30. Was it 30,000 lightning strikes is a lot of lightning strikes that's within, uh, within eight miles of, uh, Oklahoma university is Norman campus. So. That's insane. So when you say this hailstorm wiped out all these trees, was it the hail itself? When you're saying like the lightening effects ...

The details surrounding the supposed Dulce Air Force base might seem absurd at first glance but if you exam the proof and the many testimonies, especially those of local residents, reveals undeniable evidence of strange occurrences. This secret, subterranean military base at Mount Archuleta, on the Colorado-New Mexico border, is as highly classified as Area 51. It was allegedly inhabited by grey aliens and other alien races, including the reptilians, conducting depraved experiments on humans. It's about to get STRANGE! Dulce, New Mexico is a small town of under 3000 people, most of which is home to Native Americans. The area around Dulce was plagued with unexplained cow mutilations. Near the town of Dulce, on the Colorado-New Mexico border, is a secret underground government facility known as the Dulce Base. The facility is a least seven levels deep. So what goes on in this place? Well, it depends who you listen to but one thing is certain, there are humans and grey aliens and reptilians. Allegedly, the humans are getting technological information from the aliens and in exchange, they give the aliens human subjects to experiment on. From all accounts I’ve read, horrible, horrible stuff goes on under that ground in New Mexico. The Raton Basin which straddles the Colorado/New Mexico border has seen intense natural gas drilling and production in the past two decades. In 2008, a homeowner near Trinidad, Colorado, who was having his water well tested learned that it was contaminated by a chemical known as "Tert-butyl alcohol" or "TBA." TBA is a man-made subtance found in many household items such as perfumes, cosmetics and paint removers. But one place it shouldn't be found? Underground.
