Designer Murray Pfaff is renowned for his creative and wild projects, weird stuff you can trip out on that makes your jaw drop. Murray makes his third appearance on the podcast fresh off a pair of amazing back-to-back events: the 1,000-mile Hot Rod Power Tour – which saw him field both an Explorer ST with Petty's Garage and a Meyers Manx SR kit car – followed a mere two days later by EyesOn Design, where unlike any other show in the country, one of the judging teams is legally blind, reviewing the cars purely by touch with white gloves on. It's a fun and fascinating conversation you won't want to miss. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

WWJ's John McElroy - Eyes on design this weekend
Every car person can tell you what their favorite car is, and that has something to do with the power-plant, but is mostly it is by the design of the car itself. We are talking car design today on the "5:15" our guest Kathy Pecar Lightbody-Chairman of the EyesOn Design Automotive Design Exhibition at the Ford House. Today's topics include: how EyesOn started, the strong connection between automotive designers, how Kathy got involved in this, how they got to show the cars at the Ford House, the Meadow, how the shows are different each year, how they find the cars that will appear, how the visitors will know why these cars are important by the signage, "it's a very different type of car show", does Kathy ever sleep, 300 volunteers, the GM Design dome, a full run down of all of the events, Peter Brock, M1, a pine wood derby, the visionaries, meeting Corvette designers and so much more! We found Ms. Lightbody an excellent representative from EyesOn Design and as a guest too. She is more than welcome return with us anytime.
