Richie makes a peace offering to Tony (a 25 year old jacket that makes anyone who wears it look like an uglo) and Sean and Matt make a move for acceptance (shooting their closest ally for the favor of someone who hates and despises them.
"Full Leather Jacket" may be the shortest episode of The Sopranos, but it's one of the more entertaining and impactful chapters in Season 2! This episode sees many of our characters giving up various offerings - A ricotta pie, a treasured jacket, an engagement ring, a tray of food, even murder! But very few of these offerings bring results that our characters understand or could have predicted, and it's becoming clear that things are heading into rough waters. There's also quite a bit of passionate conversation this week about David Proval's finest acted moment so far, Carmela employing some truly expert gangsterism, Melfi and Tony's awkward therapy, and of course - hilarious dinner scenes. All this and more!
This week on the podcast we talk about Season 2 Episode 8 "Full Leather Jacket" also, College admissions, Carm is a helicopter mom, a spirited defense of Meadow Soprano, THE JACKET, The Himbos and the Mundanity of Capitalism, somone gets shot, and of course What Do You Want In Your Mouth?, Who's Horny? our Stans of the Week, and THE DIALECTIC. NOTE: The file got cut off in the initial upload. If your file suddenly ends, delete the file and redownload and you should get the full episode. The closing song this week is Joyce Manor's "Leather Jacket" Welcome to Gabagool & Roses, the ONLY leftist Sopranos podcast. John has seen HBO's "The Sopranos" a bunch of times, Ben and Rachel have never seen it. We're watching it episode-by-episode and talking about it from a leftist perspective. Chris & Drea tear apart The Sopranos "Full Leather Jacket" episode! They discuss David Chase vs. Stanley Kubrick, what it was like kissing Christopher Moltisanti, plus they share juicy stories about Drea's traumatizing experience dining out again and the time Chris faced her phobia at a strip bar!
Sopranos director and producer Allen Coulter joins Michael and Steve for this week’s exciting episode of Talking Sopranos. Allen is a Sopranos insider who directed 12 episodes and was the producer for 20 more. Allen shares his incredible story about how he got his very slow start in the business, and how his life was changed the day he met David Chase. He also talks about the challenges of working with James Gandolfini and of course the craziness of directing the one and only Tony Sirico. Then the pundit is back piling on to his insane theory about the Sopranos. Now he has Michael and Steve second guessing themselves! Who the heck is this person and does this crazy theory have any merit at all? Finally Michael and Steve break down this week’s episode which is a fan favorite. Who doesn’t love the way Richie Aprile says “The Jacket”. Lots of story, lots of incredible acting and lots to dig into in this episode. Talking Sopranos #21 “Full Leather Jacket” S2 E8 of the Sopranos. It's the jaaaacket!!! We discuss this iconic episode with about five plots, loads of memorable lines, a shocking cliffhanger and, of course, the jacket. One of the great episodes of Season Two and a pinnacle Richie Aprile moment. Follow us on Twitter and Instagram: @OhSopranosPod
Hey, everyone, it's time for your favorite Sopranos podcast ever, Pod Yourself A Gun. The world's ONLY Sopranos podcast (that's not hosted by a former cast member nor by people who respect prestige TV). This week Vince and Matt are joined by comedian, podcaster, Cooking Channel TV show host and huge Sopranos fan Karl Hess as they discuss Sopranos season 2 episode 8 (208) "Full Leather Jacket." AKA the most Seinfeld-ass episode of the Sopranos of all time. It's mostly about how Richie Aprile gives Tony a jacket as a gift and Tony insults him by not wearing the jacket. Seriously, that's like the biggest storyline in the episode. It's bizarre and forgettable and a pleasure to talk about with Karl. Here is a bit more info on the episode. SYNOPSIS: "Although Richie is miffed at Tony for forcing him to build a ramp for the pizza-parlor owner he paralyzed, he decides to make a peace offering. Unhappy with their lowly status as Christopher's lackeys, Sean and Matt decide to pledge their allegiance to Richie--through a violent, unexpected act." BADA B STORIES -Richie wants to give Tony a jacket -Meadow wants to go to Berkeley -Carm wants a letter of rec to Georgetown for Meadow -Matt and Shawn want respect -Chris wants to marry Adrianna -Tony wants Richie to build a ramp for Beansy We hope you enjoy it! And please remember to give us a review and 5 stars on the Apple podcast app.

Gavin and Hannibal share their takes on the least romantic marriage proposal of all time, Carmela in gangster mode, Sean’s disgusting burglary ritual, the unexpected turn of events that cap the episode, and last but definitely not least, “the jackettttttt.”
