We also discuss some more ridiculous Chat GPT searches (and people who talk to it graciously (this week's poll)), the idea of Gyemoim (communal saving) in Korea and Krissi's NY Times front page article. There's also bits and pieces about the changing the political landscape in Korea, Noraebang (karaoke) brothels and life in Daegu v Busan. As always, something for everyone. Get on it.

While many people identify Award Winning Actor Michael Imperioli with his role of Christopher Moltisanti on The Sopranos, or more recently, as Dominic Di Grasso, on The White Lotus, his talent stretches far beyond his thespian roots. He has written screenplays, novels and episodes of television. He has developed Television shows, plays in a band, practices Buddhism and has run his own theater with his wife. He is an artist's artist.Far from the hot-headed Moltisanti, Michael ponders, jokes and waxes philosophically with me. He also tells some pretty great stories of how his early career opportunities, like Goodfellas, changed the course of his career and introduced him to talents like Spike Lee. And how the super stardom of The Sopranos did not answer all of his prayers, paving his path to Buddhism. Like the rest of the actors I've sat down with on 10,000 NOs, he is not immune to rejection and travels the same winding trail as his less famous counterparts.10,000 NOs podcast is now in it's 2.0 phase: after a long pause from late 2021 to late 2023, it has returned in a more raw format: shorter episodes, like the Monday Morsels of yesteryear (they may be short, solo riffs by Matt on central themes of the pod, excerpts from Matt's 10,000 NOs Insiders Community Zooms, or excerpts from Insiders VIP sessions with VIPs from the entertainment interview and beyond). Yes, the same Jaden Rashada who was the subject of so much offseason NIL drama. Now, we're finally talking about him as a football player again. (0:00-8:17) Andy starts the ACC preview with a test. Could artificial intelligence produce a better conference preview than Andy? After an AI-generated Clemson preview puts Andy's fears to rest, he plows ahead with a more conventional conference preview. (8:18-13:30) ESPN's Roddy Jones joins to help break down the ACC, and he and Andy start by discussing the teams not named Clemson or Florida State that could wind up playing for an ACC title (North Carolina, Pittsburgh, N.C. Today's topic is staying together. Every love story is profoundly different and unique. And for those who don't find everlasting love, we head to the movies to be reminded that it is possible and does exist. Movies teach humanity and make us feel less alone. They lift us up and instill hope. And sometimes we need movies so we can momentarily forget our lives and have a good cry or laugh so hard we forget why we were crying in the first place! If you are a great actor – their words and story are believable, and it can be life-changing. And if that character prevails through extreme hardship, their impact can be even greater. Today's guest is Oscar-winning actor Chris Cooper and his wife Marianne Leone Cooper, who's also an actress and writer, and their love story is beyond beautiful! They've lived through the most difficult of times–enduring the loss of their only son Jesse. Yet somehow, they learned to continue on–put their gifts and pain into purpose, leading Chris to win an Academy Award and Golden Globe Award and Marianne to write the best-selling memoir "Knowing Jesse, A Mother's Story of Grief, Grace and Everyday Bliss," which honors their precious child. Surviving and thriving through all these experiences wouldn't be possible without their love for each other. I've watched Chris's Academy Award acceptance speech many times to remind myself that true love is real and doesn't only exist in the movies.Chris Cooper is an actor known for his Oscar-winning performance in Adaptation and roles in American Beauty, The Bourne Identity, Seabiscuit, Capote, A Time to Kill, and Breech, to name a few. His wife, Marianne Leone Cooper, is a writer and screenwriter. She's known for her published memoirs and essays. She's also an actress most recognized for playing the role of Christopher Moltisanti's mother on the Sopranos. I admire them so much and the love they share. Today they share their powerful story and what it takes to Stay Together! Kerry Brett, Chris Cooper, and Marianne Leone Cooper cover a lot of ground. Topics include;Having different personalities is a strength and can help balance difficult times. What being a team looks like within a relationship?Find someone who makes you laugh so hard that you lose it! Having fabulous humor is key and awfully important in staying together. The importance of leading your partner when the other is lost. Why being a team was survival during challenges. When experiencing loss, don't expect your partner to grieve the same way. You can't expect others to feel how you feel at all times. Practice patience, not resentment, and have empathy.Mutual respect and kindness are crucial, don't be kinder to your friends than the love of your life. And don't forget to say thank you – it goes a long way.

Huge episode for Christopher Moltisanti! He finally becomes a Made Man! Chris, Paul, & Jordan break it down, along with the rest of the Season Three classic "Fortunate Son". This hour of television sees AJ become a star football player, Jackie Jr. becoming a wheelman, crucial flashbacks to a traumatic day in Tony's life, and Christopher learns that being a "made man" aint all it's cracked up to be. Great Melfi scenes, great mob action, and great family drama - this episode delivers it all! It all points to a sad and stark reality for the world of The Sopranos, and that is: There really are no "Fortunate Sons" in this lifestyle. This is not a universe that is kind or nurturing to its young men. PLUS, the Meadow, Noah, and Tony situation escalates! All this and more, just as soon as we disrespect the pizza parlor!   TheSopranosPodcast@Gmail.com @TheSopranosPodcast - Facebook & Instagram @SopranosPodcast - Twitter

Sopranos Star Michael Imperioli Tells His Story Today on The Neil Haley Show, The Total Tutor Neil Haley will interview Sopranos Star Michael Imperioli. Michael Imperioli (Italian: [impeˈrjɔːli]; born March 26, 1966) is an American actor, writer and director best known for his role as Christopher Moltisanti on The Sopranos, for which he won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2004. He also appeared in the TV drama series Law & Order as NYPD Detective Nick Falco. Imperioli spent the 2008-2009 television season as Detective Ray Carling in the US version of Life on Mars. He was starring as Detective Louis Fitch in the ABC police drama Detroit 1-8-7 until its cancellation. At the height of The Sopranos' fame, Michael Imperioli read Tom Phillips' original script, BETWEEN WARS, during a screenwriting workshop at his STUDIO DANTE in NYC. He immediately agreed to come on board. The screenplay, although optioned by Hollywood, sat on a shelf for nearly 2 years. At the same time, BETWEEN WARS co-writer and friend, Joe Panebianco, was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gherig's disease), which he continues to fight to this day. This heartbreaking situation fueled Phillips' resolve to take the project into his own hands and shoot the film himself. Inspired by Ed Burns, Guy Ritchie, early Scorsese, Abel Ferrara and Tarantino, true independent filmmaking had always been Phillips' original vision for BETWEEN WARS, and Panebianco's illness was the wake-up call he needed to make it happen. Production began in 2019.
