We made a very fun return to what is now referred to as, Fan Expo Denver! We've been with this comic con in Denver, since it's inception, either just as fans, but mostly as press! What started as Denver Comic Con, then Denver Pop Culture Con, has now flourished in Fan Expo Denver! And we attended their "special edition" which occurred over Halloween weekend! While we were there, we were able to speak with actor, Barbara Dunkelman! Among some awesome accomplishments, Barbara is the Creative Director for the production company Rooster Teeth. Rooster Teeth is responsible for productions like Red vs Blue, Camp Camp, and RWBY. For today's interview with Barbara, we of course focused mostly on the anime, RWBY, in which she is the voice for Yang Xiao Long. RWBY is a very popular English anime, and so popular in fact, that it has been translated from English to Japanese!! In 30 hours live on the air, the Epic Film Guys raised over $5,000 for cancer research and an additional $780 for Perry Johnson, a fellow podcaster who guested on the event and was diagnosed with stage IV esophageal cancer shortly before it began. Because they smashed their goal and because of their amazing community of peers and fellow podcasters, they decided this year’s event should be even bigger and better. The 3rd Annual Livestream for the Cure will be held from May 17th through the 19th, and the Epic Film Guys will be live for FORTY hours as they try to hit their biggest goal yet and raise $7,500.   This month we kick off a new series called "The Huntresses of Autumn". It will be four or five huntresses that will share their style of hunting the equipment they use and the game they like to hunt. 1st up we have Amanda Lowrey from "Extreme Huntress" on NBC. A competition between 4 huntress that go head to head to determine who will be the 2014 Extreme Huntress. Amanda's favorite thing to hunt is predators and lives in an area where the wolf is getting out of hand. Amanda also likes to hunt bear. Amanda is the mother of two young girls who just can't wait to get out and go hunting with their mother. She's instrumental in helping youth and special needs kids learn to shoot and get to hunt.
