Six-year-old Lilly and four-year-old Jack Sullivan vanished from their rural Nova Scotia home on May 2nd, 2025. Their disappearance sparked an immediate and massive search effort, involving hundreds of volunteer searchers, K9 units, helicopters, drones, and specialized RCMP units, meticulously combing miles of the dense, challenging terrain near Lansdowne Station. Despite these efforts, there have been no confirmed sightings of the kids, and it seems like the best evidence they have is a child-sized boot print and potentially a piece of blanket belonging to one of the children. Skip to the case time stamp: (9:10) On May 2, 2025, siblings Lilly (6) and Jack (4) Sullivan were said to be in the kitchen of their home in Nova Scotia, Canada. Their parents - mother Malehya Brooks-Murray and their stepfather Daniel Martell - became worried when the children fell silent. The story they have told authorities is that they believe the children slipped outside to play and wandered off. The couple searched for the children before calling 911. A large-scale search ensued for the children. The search involved hundreds of people and ran for weeks. The only traces of the children that have been found include a blanket and a possible boot print. Since their disappearance, Malehya has left the family home and has blocked Daniel on social media. Daniel is adamant that he had nothing to do with the disappearance of the children and has told the media that he passed a polygraph test. Nova Scotia is comparable in size to Vermont, Rhode Island, and Delaware in the United States. When two small children go missing in Lansdowne Station, Nova Scotia, all parents in Nova Scotia take notice. And when another child is approached and dragged off his bike and into a house by a strange just a month later, it definitely raises alarm bells. Yesterday, a child was taken off their bike not all that far from Lilly and Jack Sullivans' house and dragged into a home, where not-so-nice things happened. And, back in March of 2025, another child in Nova Scotia was approached as they (not sure if it was a male or female) waited for the school bus. The man tried to trick the child into his white SUV. Six-year-old Lilly and her four-year-old brother Jack went missing from their rural Nova Scotia home on May 2nd, 2025. The mother and stepfather of the two children claim that the kids were last seen at home on Friday, May 2nd, playing near the kitchen area. Stepfather Daniel Martell believes the children may have quietly slipped out through the sliding door in the kitchen, which wouldn't have made much noise, allowing them to leave unnoticed. The mother has ceased giving interviews and severed ties with Daniel following the incident.Contact us at: weeknightmysteries@gmail.comInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/weeknightmysteriesTikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@weeknightmysteries

When Lilly and Jack Sullivan went missing from their home in Nova Scotia, it brought back disturbing memories for the parents of three-year-old Dylan Ehler, who vanished in 2020 from his grandmother's house in Truro, Nova Scotia. Dylan's case shines a light on all the things that can go wrong when the local cops don't follow their own protocols. It will also illustrate the damage that can be done to an investigation and the child's loved ones when cyber bullies decide to wage a battle against them. Also, Dylan's story and face deserve to be in the public eye because, sadly, he remains missing. Every officer knows traffic is dangerous — but most don't realize how fast everything can change. Bob Bemis didn't either, until March 27, 2015. Responding to a vehicle fire, he was struck by a swerving car, crushed and left fighting to walk, see and live again. Today, the retired Pennsylvania State Police sergeant is on a mission to change how agencies prepare officers for roadside dangers. In this episode of the Policing Matters podcast, host Jim Dudley speaks with Bemis and Jack Sullivan, Director of Training at the Emergency Responder Safety Institute, about the About our sponsor This episode of the Policing Matters Podcast is brought to you by Lexipol, the experts in policy, training, wellness support and grants assistance for first responders and government leaders. When we talk about officer safety, our minds often go straight to firearms and physical confrontations — but one of the deadliest threats doesn't come from an armed suspect. It comes from traffic. Every year, roadway incidents rank among the top causes of line-of-duty deaths for law enforcement. And while the risk is constant, many agencies still approach this hazard with outdated training, inconsistent protocols and little coordination across departments. In this episode of the Policing Matters podcast, host Jim Dudley sits down with Jack Sullivan, Director of Training for the Emergency Responder Safety Institute, to discuss the state of roadside safety for law enforcement officers. Sullivan, a veteran in the field of traffic incident management, shares alarming statistics, real-world stories and actionable strategies to reduce risks — from engineering fixes and digital alerting systems to cross-agency coordination.
Our guest, Jack Sullivan is the Director of Training for the Responder Safety Institute and has been with us several times over the years. On this occasion Jack addresses the tragically high number of “Struck by,” incidents, where a firefighter, law enforcement officer, ambulance team, recovery (tow) operator, Road Ranger and even innocent good-Samaritans are injured or killed, most due to inattentive drivers, from people on bikes to large tractor trailers. We, who are First Responders much work to educate our members to always maintain, “Situational Awareness” and our heads on a “swivel” in our efforts to bring more safety to our jobs.Jack also explains to us the heavy need for more TIM (Traffic Incident Management) Teams around the country. These teams review past response incidences and how they could have been handled and feed that info to the responder agencies. They also conduct training with various First Responder agencies to help their members learn how to be safer and how to include those findings with those involved. On this episode of the Peristyle Podcasts hosts Ryan Abraham and Coach Harvey Hyde are back talking about USC kicking off spring football 2023 with Lincoln Riley and the exact same coaching staff but a lot of new faces on both sides of the ball. Both Ryan and Harvey were on campus Sunday for the first spring practice where the media was allowed to attend and the guys were able to check out what the players looked like heading out of the tunnel sporting helmets, jerseys and shoulder pads. They also were able to watch the early team stretching where some special teams drills were going on followed by position drills including tackling by the defensive backs and linebackers. Coach Hyde was hanging out right outside the entrance to Howard Jones Field matching up the numbers with the players as they ran across the street and into the workout. One thing he noticed was that most of the players and coaches keep their eyes straight ahead in a very business-like manner, not looking at or engaging the media that was filming and observing them as they entered practice. Some of the players that caught Hyde's eye were on the offensive line, with Mason Murphy looking bigger and more like a real college offensive tackle along with Florida transfer Michael Tarquin who also stood out. Freshman quarterback Malachi Nelson reminded Coach of one of his former players when he was a freshman, Randall Cunningham, noting that both are/were tall, thin and athletic. He noted that Nelson and Caleb Williams were running side by side like they were handcuffed together. Texas A&M defensive line transfer Anthony Lucas passed the eye test, looking like someone who can contribute right away for the Trojans. He also liked Georgia State rush end transfer Jamil Muhammad, but thought he would be a little taller, and thought Purdue transfer Jack Sullivan passed the eye test. South Carolina running back transfer MarShawn Lloyd looked “studly” to Coach Hyde along with freshman five-star wide receiver Zachariah Branch.
