Today's conversation is with Stephanie Mason - entrepreneur, founder of Global Brand Connect, host of the Cutting Through The Noise podcast, and the woman who built and exited Showpony after 14 years of growth. In this conversation, Stephanie shares the journey of building Showpony from the ground up, the entrepreneurial influences that shaped her from a young age, and the lessons she learned scaling a brand into a business attractive enough to be acquired by Kevin Murphy in 2023.But this conversation goes much deeper than business growth. We explore what happens after achieving a major goal, including the emotional challenges many founders face when the thing they've spent years building is suddenly gone. We discuss identity, purpose, reinvention, and the phenomenon known as "Gold Medal Syndrome" - the emptiness some people experience after reaching the achievement they believed would finally make them feel fulfilled.Stephanie also opens up about suffering a serious pelvis injury just days after exiting Showpony, why it felt like the universe was testing her, and how she navigated the transition into a completely new chapter of life and business. Now, Stephanie helps brands scale intentionally through Global Brand Connect, supporting companies with distribution, logistics, strategy, and growth while continuing to build a life she loves in Mallorca.Expect to learn:The entrepreneurial lessons Stephanie learned growing upHow Showpony was built and scaled over 14 yearsThe key moments that proved the business could become something specialWhat it's really like selling a company you've built from scratchThe emotional challenges founders face after an exitHow Stephanie rebuilt her identity after leaving ShowponyThe lessons she's learned helping brands grow internationallyWhy relationships and the right support matter more than pretending to know everythingWhat younger Stephanie would think of the life she's created todayThis was a fascinating conversation about entrepreneurship, identity, purpose, growth, and learning that success is often about who you become along the way rather than the milestone itself.Get 20 lessons from 330 CamBro Conversations - https://colcambro.kit.com/60ed1b527bGet my Linkedin for Sales Guide - https://colcambro.kit.com/products/linked-in-personal-brand-for-sellingGet my Peak Productivity BLUEPRINT - https://colcambro.kit.com/products/peak-performance-blueprintMake Millionaire Money Moves - https://millionaire-fhcpmlvz.manus.spaceBook a conversation about Private Medical Insurance with Lewis & Mark:lewis.mitchell@wpa-hcp.org.ukMark.McKenzie@wpa-hcp.org.ukConnect with Stephanie:LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/stephanie-ann-mason/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/stephaniemasonConnect with Col:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/col.cambro/Email List: https://colcambro.kit.com/30bde23b0cPatreon: https://www.patreon.com/ColCampbell

Patrick makes the case that good habits, not brilliance, are the real secret to building wealth, using compelling stories like Grace Groner, who turned $180 into $7.2 million simply by buying and holding. He covers why starting early, staying invested through market downturns, and keeping fees low are far more powerful than trying to pick winning stocks or time the market. Patrick also challenges common myths, like the idea that good investing must be complicated, and he explains why boring index funds beat the vast majority of actively managed funds over the long run. Whether you're a seasoned investor or just getting started, this session offers a refreshingly honest, research-backed perspective that'll leave you feeling less intimidated about long-term investing!

A little white ago I stepped away from conversations about hormones, perimenopause and menopause on this podcast. Not because women's health stopped being important, for from it! It was because the conversation became louder, more crowded and, for many women, more confusing than helpful. Conflicting advice, competing experts and endless rules have left many of us wondering what actually matters, and what we should actually do day to day to feel better. In this episode, I'm joined by physician and bestselling author Dr. Amy Shah to discuss her new book, Hormone Havoc. Rather than another conversation focused solely on treatment or supplements, we talk about the practical, everyday habits that support women through perimenopause, menopause and beyond. We explore how hormones intersect with modern life, why midlife can feel uniquely overwhelming, and how small, consistent changes around nutrition, sleep, movement and recovery can make a meaningful difference. This is a calmer, clearer conversation about a stage of life that doesn't need to be feared, it just needs to be understood. In This EpisodeWhy women feel more confused about hormones than everPerimenopause as a gradual hormonal transition rather than a sudden eventThe impact of modern stress and midlife responsibilitiesMoving from dieting culture to strength and longevityDr Shah's 30–30–3 approach:30g protein in your first meal30g fibre per day3 servings of probiotic foodsGut health and hormone regulationUltra-processed foods and metabolic healthGLP-1 medications; benefits, realities and cautionsSleep, circadian rhythm and the importance of darknessAlcohol, ageing and brain healthWhy menopause can mark a powerful new phase of lifeAbout My GuestDr. Amy Shah is a double board-certified physician specialising in integrative medicine and nutrition. Ever feel like you're drowning in noise—from social media, news cycles, and even your own mental chatter? You're not alone. The Akashic Records have a timely message about "cutting through the noise" during this transformative period in late September. In this episode, we explore the Records' guidance for navigating the intense energies of late September, focusing on "cutting through the noise" to reconnect with our core values and inner wisdom. The metaphor of a cake knife slicing through layers reveals the importance of discernment during times of overwhelming change.Key talking points include: • What's pulling at your attention, and is it worth your time?• Reconnecting with core values as an anchor during chaotic times• Three-layer journaling practice to clear mental clutter• Top layer: brain dump of mental chatter• Middle layer: practical concerns and to-do lists• Bottom layer: connecting with heart wisdom• The Hermit card appears as confirmation of the need for introspection• Living authentically requires continually tuning out the world's expectationsRather than offering complicated spiritual practices, this episode delivers three powerful questions that act as your compass: What's pulling at your attention? Is it worth your time? What are your core values? These simple inquiries create immediate clarity when life feels chaotic. Dr. BethAnne shares a personal example of catching self-doubt and choosing to release it rather than waste precious energy on unhelpful thought patterns. The synchronistic appearance of the Hermit card confirms this inward journey is exactly what we need right now. Whether we're considering domestic or international equities, market movements and valuations seem to be reflecting sentiments rather than underlying fundamentals. Moving into the second half of 2025, it's crucial to look beyond inflated valuations and seek pockets of opportunity that offer both value and quality. In this episode, Matt and Emily talk to podcast host John P. Bryson about how investors can navigate today's volatile market even as economic slowdown worries persist. Here's a sneak peek into the conversation.1 What's U.S. economic data indicating?Matt: The employment picture is still holding up okay, with monthly job gains of about 150,000. Initial jobless claims have come up a little bit but are still at a low level historically. Overall, it's not amazing growth, but it's not too slow either. It seems like no one's appreciating the slowdown in inflation, but the data's showing it. In our view, some of the current market movements may have rotation or opportunities presenting themselves because the U.S. economy's holding up all right.2 How is the bond market reacting to U.S. economic data?Emily: Bonds aren't getting the memo as it relates to the macro backdrop. Normally, you would think that bond yields would be falling meaningfully as inflation comes down. We're not really seeing that. We're sort of chopping around in the 4.50%-ish range.Housing, for example, is a critical component of the Consumer Price Index (CPI). There is a lot more housing supply coming online, and that is bringing inflation to the lowest level since 2021.1 That's a really notable dynamic that is just not being picked up by the bond market right now.3 What should investors focus on for the second half of 2025?Emily: We want to be careful about chasing risk here. We need to think about where we can find value. Where can we find the best earnings growth on a relative basis? Where can we find parts of the market that are on sale? We want to be careful about not getting pushed into momentum-driven areas of markets that are just rallying on sentiment.1 U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
