As we roll into the final month of the season, the Super Halo Bros. are looking for Ws wherever they can get them! One big W was Jon watching the Angels beat the San Diego Padres 10-2 on Saturday night and getting to witness Shohei Ohtani becoming the first Halo to hit 40 home runs and swipe 20 bases, Justin Upton's 1,000th RBI, and experience Jo Adell's cannon from right field! (4:39) Speaking of the outfield, what does it look like come 2022? (16:09) Then, the brothers talk about the potential contract for Shohei and what the Angels might offer him. (23:03) As Jack "Money" Mayfield continues to impress and Angels Twitter becomes less enthused over Jose Iglesias, what do the Halos do at shortstop next season? (31:38) Jeff Fletcher of the OC Register suggested three potential free-agent pitchers the Angels could sign, and Mike and Jon discuss what the starting rotation may look like. (37:55) Plus, what a relief! We've got some decent numbers happening among our pitching draft picks, including our number-one pick, Sam Bachmann! (44:57) As these youngsters look to make it onto the squad and our current relievers look elsewhere for work, Mike and Jon share potential jobs for the likes of Steve Cishek and Junior Guerra once they're no longer on the team. (47:07) Then, we say goodbye to Alex Curry (52:32) and take a look at the Play-By-Play announcer standings. (57:28) Are you following us at @superhalobros on Instagram and Twitter? Be sure you do so we can chat with you and hear your thoughts on the episode! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/jon-frisch/support
It's been a tough time, folks! The Angels lost their fourth straight game and moved to 13-16 on the season. A fun Shohei Ohtani start on the mound was ultimately not enough as a bad offensive performance from an injury-riddled lineup, blow-up from Junior Guerra, and questionable bullpen management from Joe Maddon led to a loss. -You can follow Brent on Twitter at @bmags94, the podcast at @LockedOnAngels, and Brent's written work at Crashing the Pearly Gates Learn more about your ad choices. DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to a Friday podcast breaking down a full slate of baseball for FanDuel and DraftKings. Before they get started Doug calls out James for his claim yesterday that Josh Tomlin wouldn’t be part of the top DraftKings GPP lineups last night. Then they break down pitchers starting with Max Scherzer who’s been one (if not the) best pitchers in the majors this season. But there are a lot of other solid arms today as well. They talk about Zack Greinke, Carlos Martinez, James Paxton, Drew Pomeranz and even Nick Pivetta. For the bats there’s obviously a game in Coors with a high run line on the Rockies’ side of the ball against Derek Holland. The Yankees are also in a great spot against a broken Junior Guerra. All of this and more on a full Friday MLB podcast. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

It’s a huge MLB podcast today with a full slate of evening games happening for FanDuel and DraftKings. DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis break down the slate starting with pitching. With so many decent pitchers going it’s a little weird to see run lines up across the industry. They see Max Scherzer and Luis Severino as the clear cash game pitchers though as each comes in with plus matchups and have been electric this season. They also discuss James Paxton, Carlos Carrasco, Carlos Martinez, Drew Pomeranz, Aaron Nola and Junior Guerra. On the offensive side of things there’s a lot to like. They agree you can likely fade the pricing in Coors tonight in favor of teams like the Brewers, Dodgers, Tigers and Indians. All of that and more on a full Friday in baseball. Yesterday's fringey SPs were intriguing. We discuss Luis Perdomo, Junior Guerra, Dan Straily, Zack Godley and more (22:20) ....
