The Tampa Bay Rays lost the third game of a three-game series against the reigning World Series champions, Texas Rangers 4-1 and lost the series. Aaron Civale was impressive on Wednesday afternoon allowing only 4 hits, 1 run (a Corey Seager solo shot in the 6th inning) and 8 strikeouts over 6 innings pitched. Yandy Díaz, Harold Ramírez and Curtis Mead contributed with hits but it wasn't enough as Nate Eovaldi threw 7 shutout innings allowing 4 hits. A late rally would not prove fruitful for the Rays after the Rangers rallied in the 9th scoring 3 runs off lefty reliever Garret Cleavinger.Follow Kevin Weiss @KevinWeiss_Follow Ulises Sambrano @SambranoUlisesFollow the show @LockedOnRaysFollow & Subscribe on all Podcast platforms…

Fantasy Baseball Live – December 3, 2023 @ 3 pm3.Oakland A'sa.I never gave you kudos for talking up Ryan Noda last season. I drafted him very late in my NFBC Draft in 2023, and he played a lot for me. He was ok. He hit leadoff a lot, hit 16 home runs, and if I had had him in an OBP league, I would have been really happy.i.Once again, he's going late in drafts. Round 39. Am I crazy for taking him late in Draft and Hold Leagues?b.Over/Under 50 stolen bases for Esteury Ruizc.Stat line for Lawrence Butler – AB, HR, SB, and BAd.Any interest in Mason Miller this season? He's going as the 105th pitcher off the board (Round 18)e.Give me a sleeper in the organization (Minor and/or Major)4.Seattle Mariners - This segment was recorded before the Kelenic tradea.Jared Kelenic – Stat line for 2024 – AB, HR, SB, and BAb.Dominic Canzone (ADP=679) and Cade Marlowe (ADP=737) are penciled into the outfield. I wouldn't guess this sticks to the end, but who do you like as a flyer late in Draft and Hold Leagues?c.Bryce Miller pitched to a 4.28 ERA, striking out 119 in 131 innings. It's not a stat line that jumps out at you, yet he's going as the 72nd pitcher off the board or likely a Top 50 starting pitcher. Are you happy with him as your #4 pitcher?i.He's still a two-pitch pitcher with a great fastball and an OK slider. d.Do the Mariners make the playoffs in 2024?e.Give me a sleeper in the organization (Minor and/or Major)5.Texas Rangersa.Give me the arrival date for Wyatt Langford.i.His ADP is 155 (11th round). Would you take a flyer?b.Would you like to opine again on your platoon concerns with Evan Carter?i.His ADP is 129, and he's going as the 30th outfielder. We will look at other outfielders in the same area and who we like better.c.Nate Eovaldi was great last season. He's going as the 79th pitcher off the board (Round 14). Is this solid value, or are you worried about his workload last year and the injuries he had in the second half? i.His ERA was 3.63, and xERA was 3.98.d.Give me a sleeper in the organization (Minor and/or Major)CloseThis show is part of the Spreaker Prime Network, if you are interested in advertising on this podcast, contact us at https://www.spreaker.com/show/3306394/advertisement

The Rangers beat the Diamondbacks in game 5 to win the World Series 4 games to 1! There were plenty of opportunities for the DBacks to put runs on the board but they came up empty time after time! In the end, Nate Eovaldi, Corey Seager and the rest of the Rangers were just too much for the DBacks. 2023 ALCS - Games 6 and 7 @ Minute Maid Park Rangers (90-72) @ Astros (90-72) - Houston leads 3-2 With a dramatic comeback victory in game five, the Houston Astros are just a win away from heading back to the World Series for the fifth time in the last seven years. With a game to give and home field advantage, surely Dusty Baker's squad is ready to seal the deal? The problem: the ‘Stros are much better on the road than at home, and Rangers manager Bruce Bochy is no stranger to elimination games on the road. If Texas can pull off a victory in game six behind ‘Big Game' Nate Eovaldi, then all bets are off for game seven. And keep in mind, Bruce Bochy has never lost a game seven, and Dusty Baker has never won one. A lot of eyes will be trained on Adolis García, the Cuban slugger for Texas, who looks to respond with the bat after getting plunked and subsequently ejected in game five. The battle for Texas concludes in Houston with Framer Valdez vs. Nathan Eovaldi in game six, and if necessary, Christian Javier vs. Max Scherzer in game seven. The New York Yankees are looking to right the ship during the 2023-24 offseason, or so they say, but how much will they rely on their players to help the front office with their decision-making? Aaron Judge has come out and said that he wants to help the Yankees with their supposed overhaul and that he has ideas, while Gerrit Cole has been reluctant to be as vocal as Judge. Should the Yankees listen to the highest-paid player on their team and franchise player? Will they listen to him? How realistic is it to think that the front office will actually use Judge's input regarding offseason deals and decisions? Then Stacey and Steve talk about the former Yankees who are heading to the World Series, including Aroldis Chapman, Nate Eovaldi, and Jordan Montgomery, and they discuss the culture around the Yankees. There are a bunch of fun teams in the playoffs with lots of personalities and flair. Could the Yankees be fun again like they were in 2017, or are they regressing back into the uptight, business-like Yankees of the post-dynasty era. And finally, the World Series matchup is set and Stacey and Steve talk about the exciting Game 7 in Philadelphia. The Rays have being eliminated from the playoffs since almost a week ago but still so many questions remain.1. Why the long leash with both Tyler Glasnow and Zach Eflin ?2. Why was there no usage of their best high leverage arms in the bullpen like Robert Stephenson and Pete Fairbanks?3. Why did Manuel Margot not get pinch-hit for a lefty like Jonathan Aranda in Game 2 with a possible rally brewing against Jose LeClerc?4. Did Taylor Walls need to start BOTH games at SS even though he has less than average stats against right-handed pitching (.179 AVG, 72 wRC+) such as Nate Eovaldi? Are there any other head scratching moves or non-moves that you found in both Game 1 & Game 2 for the Rays? We start Rapid Fire by debating whether a Tobias Merriweather breakout season could look more like the one Will Fuller, Golden Tate, Equanimeeous St. Brown or Jeff Samardzija had. Other topics include: * Jesse's whiteboard on what kind of routes Merriweather could see this season. * Jesse's thoughts on the movie 'Rudy'. * Could Steve Angeli transfer midseason if Kenny Minchey passes him on the depth chart? * What next season could look like for CJ Carr. * If someone was only going to make ONE new 30 for 30 or docuseries that's Notre Dame related, would you rather see one on the real story of Rudy or something else? * Thoughts on the MLB All-Star Game uniforms. * Thoughts on Texas pitcher Nate Eovaldi wearing a mic and talking to the game announcers while he was pitching. * Thoughts on the home run derby broadcast on ESPN. Good morning, White Sox fans. Here's the rundown: LAST NIGHT: A too-typical effort from the White Sox offense wasted a decent bullpen game performance in a 5-2 loss to the Texas Rangers. TONIGHT: Last year's Cy Young finalist Dylan Cease faces current Cy Young candidate Nate Eovaldi, and we'll see if Tim Anderson misses a third straight game. ON THE FARM: Colson Montgomery makes his long-awaited 2023 debut in the Arizona Complex League. AROUND THE LEAGUE: The Twins lose again, Luis Arraez is back to .400, and Joey Votto returns to a red-hot Reds team. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Another integral member of the 18' Championship team is no longer with the Red Sox. Nate Eovaldi signed with the Rangers this week and we're saying our goodbyes. The Red Sox signed Corey Kluber in response and we're comparing what kind of production he can bring to this rotation vs Eovaldi. With JD and Eovaldi no longer on the team, we're looking back at the 2022 trade deadline and wondering why the Red Sox didn't offload them midseason if they weren't going to keep them. Jared tries to pump optimism into the podcast early on before Tyler brings him down. The new phrase we're going with is "What If?" What If the Red Sox are good? What If they're great? There's a good chance they're not, but they might be! Tyler also commits to wearing a naughty maid outfit and cleaning Jared's house if Garrett Whitlock gets demoted to the bullpen during the season. Thanks for sticking with us in 2022, see you next year! On this episode of the Fenway Rundown, MassLive beat writers Chris Cotillo and Chris Smith discuss the first week of the offseason for the Red Sox. The writers talk about the state of Boston's rotation after James Paxton exercised his player option and Nathan Eovaldi declined his qualifying offer, give their thoughts on the prospects added to the 40-man roster and parse through the rumors that Xander Bogaerts might be flirting with the Phillies and Yankees. Cotillo and Smith also predict who will be cut before Friday's non-tender deadline. Intro music: Airside by Hiro. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

The 2022 Boston Red Sox have not been showing any signs of good offense of late, and that was more than apparent after getting swept by the Toronto Blue Jays.NESN's Lauren Willand has a little bit of a therapy session on this offense and just how ugly it's been -- including having the bases loaded with NOBODY OUT and being unable to score to win against the Blue Jays on Thursday. Today we're celebrating the fact that the Red Sox didn't get swept. Woo Whoo! Pat shockingly joins for the second straight episode and breaks down his $93k night in Vegas. We go line by line of his receipt and talk about our favorite lines, including the $312 he spent on fucking WATER. In classic Pat fashion he mentions a couple competing sponsors that need to get bleeped out and then we move onto Red Sox talk. Meanwhile, Tyler is having an all-time battle with his computer/internet situation. Between the delays, he's able to break down Nate Eovaldi's value on the trade market and rank Chaim Blooms overall tenure with the Red Sox. Before we head out, Jared talks about his relationship with Julio and how his friendship with him marked a very pivotal turning point in his career. We also go through guys on the trade block and decide "yes or no" on whether they'll still be with us come Tuesday night. See you after the trade deadline. Jimmy Butler scored 41 points to lead the Miami Heat to a 118-107 win over the Boston Celtics in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Orlando Magic became the latest winning loser as they won the NBA Draft Lottery. Boston Red Sox pitcher Nate Eovaldi had a very bad day.
