The MLB is about to head into winter meetings so potential free agency movement and rumors are beginning to heat up! We discuss the possibility of AL Cy Young award winner Justin Verlander landing in LA as he was reported to be meeting with the Dodgers this week. With Trea Turner potentially on the move, LA may look into the shortstop free agency market as they have been linked with Carlos Correa, Dansby Swanson, and Xander Bogaerts...will the Dodgers look to make a move internally like moving Gavin Lux to shortstop or will LA go out and get a shortstop on the free agency/trade market. With rumors of Justin Verlander landing in LA and Alex Reyes being a potential closer the Dodgers look to add in the offseason, we take a deep dive into what the Dodgers bullpen looks like and where/how they can make upgrades in the offseason to bolster the bullpen. The Non-Tender deadline has passed and there were a lot of big names that were let go. The Guardians had their own pair of releases in Anthony Gose and Luke Maile. We focus on Maile who opens another spot on the 40-man roster but also means the Guardians are very thin at catcher and lack experience at the position. We get into what we think the Guardians are liable to do at the position. Why we both think that they are going to add a veteran? They seem very unlikely to just start the year with Bo Naylor holding down the spot. We bring up some names other than Sean Murphy who could end up being the vet who holds the spot down for Naylor. Next up we discuss the recently let go of Cody Bellinger. The former MVP is a very interesting player, but neither of us thinks he makes any sense for Cleveland. We also discussed some old friends who were let go. Then we switched to one of the players I really wanted the Guardians to add back in 2020 for Francisco Lindor, Dom Smith. We again discuss why he would be very logical for some teams, but not necessarily for the Guardians.  We begin our discussion with a few names of note. Then we discuss the decisions the Chicago White Sox made cutting a few players who were on paper potential everyday players for the White Sox or at least backups who would play regularly. We discuss how the White Sox will find depth after already having issues in terms of depth and now lacking even more major-league talent. We then focus on Jeimer Candelario who might make some sense for the Guardians on a cheaper deal due to hitting lefties and potential position flexibility. Before finishing by talking about Luke Voit, Brian Anderson, and Alex Reyes who are three more interesting names let go last week.  Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!
