Principalities and Powers:Spiritual Warfare in the Present AgeEphesians 6:10-18 | Colossians 2:13-15 | Galatians 1:4 | Hebrews 6:4-5 | Ephesians 3:10The cross was D-Day. The return of Christ will be V-Day. We live in the gap. At the cross, Christ did not strip the enemy of his weapons, but He did minimize their power. The principalities and powers still wield temptation, deception, accusation, and affliction, but they have been publicly humiliated and their authority over those in Christ has been broken. They have not yet been utterly destroyed. They remain active, defeated but still fighting, until the King returns. Kingdom victory in this present age comes from the combination of three texts. Galatians 1:4 tells us where we stand: delivered from this present evil age. Hebrews 6:5 tells us what we taste: the powers of the age to come. Ephesians 6:10-18 tells us how we fight: clothed in the whole armor of God. Positionally we are seated above the powers in Christ; practically we must enforce that position through warfare. Refuse the unspoken truce. Put on the whole armor of God. Stand firm in the strength of Christ until the King returns to finish what the cross began.---------SUBSCRIBE ▶️   Receive our latest videos:https://www.youtube.com/c/PastorSteve...ABOUTPastor, author and speaker Steve Berger is known for his straight talk in dealing with various hot-topic cultural issues that many pastors avoid. What happens when two people who genuinely love each other slowly drift apart without realizing it? Why do so many couples look successful on the outside while quietly feeling disconnected behind closed doors? In this powerful episode, bestselling authors, marriage coaches, and hosts of the acclaimed One Extraordinary Marriage Show, Tony and Alisa DiLorenzo unpack the real reasons marriages struggle—and what couples can do to reconnect before it's too late. After facing serious challenges in their own marriage, including moments where divorce felt like a real possibility, Tony and Alisa chose a radically different path. That decision eventually led them to create the transformational 6 Pillars of Intimacy® framework that has now helped thousands of couples strengthen emotional, physical, financial, spiritual, recreational, and sexual intimacy. With over 900 podcast episodes and decades of experience coaching couples, they bring honesty, vulnerability, humor, and practical wisdom to every conversation. In this episode, they reveal why busyness is quietly destroying marriages, how distractions are replacing true connection, why “surviving” marriage is not enough, and what intentional intimacy actually looks like in everyday life. They also share deeply personal stories about rebuilding their relationship, navigating parenthood, handling seasons of stress and hormonal changes, and learning how to truly prioritize each other again.Guest Bio:Tony and Alisa DiLorenzo are bestselling authors, marriage coaches, and hosts of the One Extraordinary Marriage Show, one of the top marriage podcasts with more than 800 episodes helping couples create stronger, more connected relationships. Through their proven 6 Pillars of Intimacy® framework, they teach couples how to intentionally grow emotional, physical, spiritual, financial, recreational, and sexual intimacy in every season of marriage. After overcoming significant struggles in their own relationship, Tony and Alisa dedicated their lives to helping couples reconnect, communicate better, and rediscover joy, passion, and purpose together.Key Quotes:“Busyness and distraction are robbing couples of true relationship.”“Your spouse should not get the leftovers of your attention.”“The true definition of intimacy is closeness and connection.”Key Takeaways:Prioritize your marriage intentionally instead of assuming connection will maintain itself naturally.Small moments of connection consistently practiced over time can transform a relationship.Every marriage season requires adjustment, flexibility, and open communication.Intimacy is much broader than sex—it includes emotional, physical, spiritual, financial, and recreational connection.Thriving marriages are built through intentional action, not passive hope. Conclusion:Tony and Alisa DiLorenzo bring an incredibly honest and refreshing perspective to marriage. Their willingness to openly discuss struggles, failures, intimacy, parenting, aging, and emotional connection makes this episode both practical and deeply encouraging. Instead of offering unrealistic perfection, they provide couples with a roadmap for intentional growth through every season of life.Whether your marriage feels strong, strained, disconnected, or somewhere in between, this conversation offers powerful reminders that thriving relationships are built intentionally—one conversation, one choice, and one act of connection at a time.Learn More:Website: https://oneextraordinarymarriage.comPodcast:  One Extraordinary Marriage Show Books: The 6 Pillars of Intimacy 7 Days of Sex Challenge

Utopian dreams, though often clothed in the language of hope and progress, have brought profound suffering by denying the broken reality of the human condition. Rooted in the realism of the Judeo-Christian tradition, Stephen insists that we must see the world as it is—not as we wish it to be—recognizing that no perfect state exists on this side of eternity. By distinguishing between “utopia” (“nowhere”) and “eutopia” (“good place”), we can expose how the pursuit of perfection so often becomes tyrannical, and why wisdom, counsel, and humility remain the safer path forward.LEARN MORE:Website: https://stephenmansfield.tv/Instagram: https://instagram.com/mansfieldwrites/X: https://twitter.com/MansfieldWrites

In this episode of the South Baltimore Now podcast, we sit down with John Shea and Brendan O'Brien—two South Baltimore neighbors who are blending decades of high-level financial expertise with a deep-rooted love for their community. Together, they've launched Old Irish Guys Financial, a venture built on the idea that sound financial advice should be as accessible as a conversation with a neighbor. The journey to this partnership began in the world of institutional finance. Brendan's roots go back to the "late 1900s" at Leg Mason before he transitioned to the independent side with LPL Financial. Meanwhile, John's career kicked off at State Street Bank, where he managed public pension funds before eventually serving as the Director of Development for the Baltimore Family Alliance. After years of navigating the complexities of large-scale finance, they've "hung up their own shingle" to focus on what matters most: providing neighbor-to-neighbor coaching right here on the peninsula. While both John and Brendan are Boston natives, they've found their true home in South Baltimore. They discuss the "hooks" that kept them here, choosing to raise their families in the heart of the city rather than retreating to the suburbs. Their commitment is visible in their support for local institutions like Francis Scott Key and Federal Hill Prep, proving that families don't have to move once their kids hit third grade. From volunteering at local sports to advocating for walkable turf fields, they are proof that community involvement and city living go hand-in-hand.Net Worth & ChillThis philosophy of accessible advice extends to their new podcast, The Penny and the Pint. They've coined the phrase "Net Worth and Chill" to help couples navigate the often-stressful conversations surrounding money and significant others. Whether they are helping clients consolidate "pots of money" scattered across old 401(k) plans or offering a 30,000-foot view to balance retirement, college savings, and the inevitable home repairs of city life, John and Brendan are focused on the big picture.Learn More:Website: oldirishguysfinancial.comPodcast: Look for The Penny and the Pint on all major podcast platforms.* Shout Out to Liv's Tavern for hosting us to record in-person. Buenos Aires has a way of turning a casual tango chat into a full-on philosophical detour - and that's exactly what happened when I sat down with my friend Marcelo Guttiérez. What starts as “a few questions I've been carrying around” turns into one of those conversations you'd overhear at a milonga table: a little funny, a little spicy, and full of the kind of opinions that make you pause mid-sip and go… wait, is that actually true? We talk about tango stories people repeat as fact, how “tradition” gets edited once it travels, and what gets lost (or gained) when tango becomes something you can package, teach, and sell.Marcelo came up in the Buenos Aires scene in the 90s and has been a competitor, finalist, and judge in the championship world - so he's seen tango from the floor and from the inside of the machine. If you like tango conversations that don't resolve neatly - but make you think differently the next time you walk into a milonga - this one's for you.Find Marcelo on Instagram @marcelo.gutierrez.tangoMarcelo's website: https://tangocoffeeandchocolate.com/Join my newsletter: https://unique-architect-417.kit.com/ba28095822

Somewhere between the late nights, the “just one more” pull of the milonga, and the constant hum of possibility, a deeper question starts to surface… and it's not the one most dancers expect. And then the trip shifts. Not in a dramatic, cinematic way - more like a door opening that I didn't even realize I'd been walking past. We get into what happens when you stop chasing a particular version of the Buenos Aires experience and start listening for the one that's actually meant for you.
