I would suggest that, if your job is stressful, retirement is strongly correlated with better health. - I am a baker by trade. I wanted to do mathematics when I was a teen but dropped out. Stephen's programs were a huge inspiration for me back in the late 90s. I am now in my 40s and looking to go back into maths and engineering. - What is your choice of birthday cake flavor? - Brain vascularization/oxygenation (through exercise) is such an underappreciated competitive advantage in cognitively demanding fields. - When I went to Switzerland, I indulged in the chocolate frequently!

(14:48) Julie - My great grandfather was John Rogers, burnt at the stake in 1555.  I find it interesting b/c the protestants were doing the persecution and don't understand the Queen.  What was the big fuss and the conflict. (20:26) Break 1 The blood of the martyrs, why is it important? (34:21) Mary - So do we have to suffer to prepare to go to heaven? Nick - Those wounds that we share with him are like the jewels in heaven.   That was very powerful that they recognized him by his wounds and good message.   We could also offer up little martyrdoms. (26:54) - Paul - The only way you could discern God's will for you is through silence.  Jesus went away to be alone w/God the Father and he discerned the will of God in his life.  And that's so true. Silence in discerning the will of God. James - Role of HOly Spirit in creating silence.  There's man-made silence, like during the liturgy.  When you go through the cycle of worship like in Psalm 95, then it turns to silence and far more fruitful.
