Welcome to Day 2516 of Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me. This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom – Theology Thursday – My Guardian Angel – I Dare You Not To Bore Me With The Bible. Wisdom-Trek Podcast Script - Day 2516 Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps! I am Guthrie Chamberlain, and we are on Day 2516 of our Trek. The Purpose of Wisdom-Trek is to create a legacy of wisdom, to seek out discernment and insights, and to boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. Today is the thirty-third lesson in our segment, Theology Thursday. Utilizing excerpts from a book titled: I Dare You Not To Bore Me With The Bible written by Hebrew Bible scholar and professor the late Dr. Michael S Heiser, we will invest a couple of years going through the entire Bible, exploring short Biblical lessons that you may not have received in Bible classes or Church. The Bible is a wonderful book. Its pages reveal the epic story of God's redemption of humankind and the long, bitter conflict against evil. Yet it's also a book that seems strange to us. While God's Word was written for us, it wasn't written to us. Today's lesson is: My Guardian Angel. “Every time a bell rings, an angel gets its wings.” These are familiar words for those of us who follow the holiday tradition of watching the classic film It's a Wonderful Life. The angel Clarence helps George Bailey discover the unseen but tremendous significance his mundane life played in the lives of others. It's a heartwarming story, full of hope and encouragement. But what about its theology? Are guardian angels—like Clarence—really biblical? Jesus' words in Matthew 18:10 suggest the answer is yes: “Beware that you don't look down on any of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels are always in the presence of my heavenly Father. The passage affirms that children have angels who represent them before God. Where did Matthew get such an idea? In Job 5:1, angels are presented as mediators between God and people. Job's friend Eliphaz challenges him: “Cry for help, but will anyone answer you? Which of the angels[a] will help you? Eliphaz presumes that angels would act as mediators between God and Job. This understanding was common in the biblical world. Ancient Mesopotamians, for example, believed that humans had “personal gods” who could appeal for them before the assembly of gods. We no longer need a mediator. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus now intercedes on our behalf before God (1 Tim 2:5). But the New Testament still describes angels as having an immediate ministry to believers, as demonstrated by Hebrews 1:14: Therefore, angels are only servants—spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation. Also, the narrative in Acts 12 shows us a continued connection between angels and people. After an angel frees Peter from prison and execution, Peter goes to the house of his fellow believers (12:6-10). Those inside don't believe the servant girl's report that he is at the door. They reply, “It must be his angel!” (12:15). This statement testifies to the early Christian...

Thank you for listening to our Finding Brave show, ranked in the Top 100 Apple Podcasts in Careers! “Everyone is given guidance all of the time, but most of the time we don’t listen, or we go in the direction that everyone else is. We’re heading in that direction because we’re told to focus on just all of the material things, and we lose track, making life harder and more fearful.” - Lorna Byrne In last week’s episode of Finding Brave I introduced you to two very special guests who revealed how each of us can ask for, and receive, more spiritual guidance and support each day. In today’s conclusion, we dive deeper into how you can create a practice whereby you are actually in conversation with your guardian angels. By doing this, it will allow them to support you in making life easier, and in turn, to live a life filled with more unconditional love. Lorna Byrne is a world-renowned spiritual teacher, speaker and international bestselling author of Angels in my Hair and seven other books published in more than 50 countries and 30 languages with millions of readers around the world. Thank you for listening to our Finding Brave show, ranked in the Top 100 Apple Podcasts in Careers! “That’s what it does. In this first episode of this two-part series, we explore my guests' understanding and insights around how we are not alone in our lives, and that we each have a soul as well as ready access to amazing spiritual and angelic support that comforts, guides and nourishes us. I’m also so excited to talk with my guests about their beautiful new children’s book, My Guardian Angel, My Best Friend, that gives both children and adults a pathway to believing and seeing that they have a guardian angel and are always loved and supported. I share how I later developed a new spiritual life that fulfills and supports me in all I do, and how I discovered Lorna’s amazing work, and later met Lorna and Aideen and co-hosted a beautiful spiritual retreat with Lorna in Ireland. If you’ve ever felt like what you’ve been told from a religious or spiritual standpoint doesn’t fit you, you’re not alone. I Saw Some Angels Today - Monique DeCicco-Jones "This is a true account of an apparition appearing to the author on the early morning of July 4, 2020. While designed for children, this book encourages the reading of listed Bible verses on angels' appearances in the Bible and can be enjoyed by children and adults alike." Monique's Website(s): https://www.amazon.com/I-Saw-Some-Angels-Today/dp/1735713422 How Many Guardian Angels Do We Have? If you are in this line of work then you already know the answer to the question, "How many Guardian Angels do we have?" But, how many angels are there and where are they? They are an essential part of our life force or Spirit. They protect us from danger, heal us, and guide us through the times that make us feel overwhelmed. There are two main groups of guardian angels. The first is the angelic forces that surround God. Some of them may be angels who are part of his personal army such as Jesus, Michael, and Gabriel. Others may be angels who are assigned to assist individuals in our earthly life by providing the energy needed to help us through the difficult times. When we ask the question, "How many guardian angels do we have," we are really asking ourselves questions about our faith and trust in our spiritual connection to God. They are the angels who protect our homes, the ones that give us peace during the times when we feel threatened, and those who can help us to grow spiritually as well as financially. There are also angels that are assigned to protect specific people or locations. The Angel of the House is one example of these. Another example would be the angels protecting your children from strangers and predators. Or maybe you have a guardian angel that is in charge of keeping your family safe during the times when you are unable to care for them. This angel will work with you to ensure that you and your family are safe and secure in your home. Another aspect of guardian angels is that they often do not come from the physical world but are part of the spirit realm. The angel that protects you during difficult times is often referred to as your Spirit Guide. Spirit Guides assists you and your family in navigating your way through the difficult times that occur in our lives. They also help guide you through the dark days when the darkness of despair and sorrow overtake us. These spirits guide you through the times when you are feeling lost and alone. When you ask the question, "How many guardian angels do we have," you are also trying to gain a deeper understanding of your relationship to your own spirit. When you are able to understand that there are guardian angels who protect you and the ones that guide you are those who are a part of your spirit world. Your own energy field. We know from the Bible that there are 12 heavenly hosts or angels assigned to protect and watch over all of God's children and help those that need it most. If we ask God how many angels do we have in our life, He will explain to us that these guardians are assigned to each person. In other words, they are our own personal angels assigned to work for us on our behalf so that we will always have protection in our lives. It is important to remember that God has no favorites, that all of us are made in God's image. If someone is hurting and you don't think that you are worthy of that person, God doesn't want that person in his life anyway. Many people say that there are two types of guardian angels. There is the angel who will be around to take care of your children, especially if you don't live in a very busy area. There are also angels that will be placed on your behalf so that you can be around when your loved one has an illness, such as a terminal disease, accident, or is in some kind of turmoil or crisis. Some people are concerned that their guardian angel may not be as helpful as they should be --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/intrinsic-motivation/support

She wanted to be free but she never really could be...Not on the inside anyway. She had a lot of dead trees and bad roots from her past, in her way.But that’s all she ever really wanted...Was to be free. Happy. And she was tired of trying and never really finding it. She was tired of the daily hustle. The constant struggle to pretend things were good when underneath the facade she was miserable. She was tired of the fake love and the same stories she was telling herself, and she wanted a way out, but she was trapped in her war of art. So she did what any prisoner of war would do when they see no way out, and she silently gave up the fight, when she lost hope. And one day when she was busy looking the other way, cancer got her...so suddenly. And on the surface, it’s a terrible story, and it crushed the hearts of the ones she loved. And it crushed her...Because even though she wasn’t happy, she still loved to love...She loved to have fun, and hot-damn could she light a room up. But her and I both know, nothing is ever what it seems. And just because you want a second chance, doesn’t mean you’ll get it, cuz cancer is a brutal disease. It doesn’t care about what you want. It doesn’t care what your race is, or how much money you have, or if you’re a good person.No.Cancer comes in with one intent. To kill. To annihilate. And the medical system thinks their medications will fix shit. But I think that’s what did her in. The radiation. And it took her before I could really process the fact that my favorite person in the world was not going to be around anymore.Like how do you prepare for that? You don't. That’s how grief sets in like a disease, much like it did to her.But now I know, sometimes people go because they are needed somewhere else. Somewhere on another level. In a different world. And now I know she’s much happier than she’s ever been, where she is. And every day, she inspires me to see life and love very differently. And I truly believe she saved me when cancer tried to take me. So maybe she died, so she could be there for me, in a way she couldn’t be if she was still here...ya know what I mean?I dunno...Maybe I’m crazy for thinking that maybe I can still talk to her, even though she’s not here anymore. But being crazy makes me feel better than it does when I feel like I don’t have her anymore. Anyway, I just wanted to say...She was my hero. She still is. My best friend. My Grandmother. My Mother’s mother. My Guardian Angel.Bev. And I know together, we are doing amazing things. And so I just wanted to say, thank you for helping me. He studied them and began giving Angel Card readings in his teens. An Angel showed up during a reading - and he turned pro.  My interview with Kyle about his current book on Angel Numbers had an interesting quirk. Each time he made a significant statement - [I have to watch the clock to time the segments] - the numbers hit 444.44. A sequence. Unfortunately, not a thing I could document being unable to stop the clock or that anyone else would be able to see but I saw it as a fantastic anomaly and validation I could observe. I noticed the first time and mentioned it. When it happened a second time. That was gravy. Significance of the number 4 sequence: "You are surrounded by 100,000 Angels. Miracles are happening before your eyes." What wonderful companions and insight he has to share with the world.  “THE WINEVILLE CHICKEN COOP MURDERS” and 9 More Terrifying True Stories! #WeirdDarknessYou won’t find Wineville, California anywhere on a map. The southern California town certainly existed, although it abruptly “vanished” in 1930, replaced suddenly by Mira Loma. What had happened was the Wineville Chicken Coop Murders – crimes so heinous that the townspeople couldn’t bear to be associated with the name “Wineville” any longer.  The case of the Wineville Chicken Coop Murders is filled with so many bizarre twists, turns, and testimonies that even movie screenwriter J. Michael Straczynski, who was investigating the murders for a film based on the events, could hardly believe it was true. After reading the story in the Los Angeles city archives, he figured, “This can’t be real… This has to be a mistake.”IN THIS EPISODE: Mysterious, loud booming noises have been heard all over the country without explanation. But now it has become even creepier, as some men in black have been poking around asking questions and interviewing witnesses. (Men In Black and Unexplained Booms) *** A convicted murderer and suspected serial killer lurks in the frames of the horror classic, The Exorcist. (The Real Life Killer Who Appeared In The Exorcist) *** A mysterious old man shows up at the scene of two auto accidents – twenty years apart! (My Guardian Angel) *** The older citizens in Durango, Mexico tell of a frightening entity known as the La Ilorona. (La Ilorona) *** A woman tells of seeing a dead relative on her way out to do her weekly grocery shopping. (Doppelganger, Ghost, or Imagination?) *** Drenched in sun and perched above the glistening water of Tampa Bay, the Sunshine Skyway Bridge doesn’t look haunted. However, appearances can be deceiving. (Tampa’s Haunted Sunshine Skyway Bridge) *** The rapid decline of traffic on Route 66 sounded the death knell for hundreds of businesses – including Diamonds Restaurant. But that hasn’t stopped the undead from continuing to frequent the place. (Ghosts of Diamonds Restaurant) *** Die without being married and you could be doomed to haunt the world forever – at least according to an ancient Chinese custom. And thus, “ghost weddings” became a reality. (Ghost Marriage) *** What was intended as a romantic getaway under the stars turned into a frightful getaway from a horrible sound. (Unnatural Sound On Mt. Saint Helens) *** A string of murders in Wineville, California caused the town to change its name – and inspired an Angelina Jolie movie. It’s a fact: Ninja Blade is the finest game to grace the Xbox 360. In fact, it’s the second best console game ever. The first best was of course The Fist of the North Star on the NES. That game was amazing, exhibiting game play of such sublime quality that it will likely never be matched. But anyway, back to Ninja Blade. Do you like ninjas? What about blades? This game has them both, and tons of quick time events to boot! It’s like playing pure awesome with a side order of phenomenal. And the story? People who say gaming hasn’t had its Citizen Kane need to shut the crap up, because this game makes Citizen Cane look like The Godfather Part II. I give Ninja Blade a 17 out of 10, and that’s only because if it went any higher it would rank better than The Fist of the North Star.Join Brent, Wes, Eric and Spencer as they explore…. Are they really just games? Do they mean something more to us? Are they good or bad? Other questions as well!
