Mother's Day is right around the corner so, this week, I invited a special guest to talk about how to heal women's generational trauma. Gerd Hundal is a trauma coach and inner work expert. She helps high achieving sensitive women heal so they can fully trust themselves. Many people are being called to go deeper in healing right now, and this work is desperately needed.  Why Do Women People Please?  Because they have to, Gurds says. If you look back generationally to mothers, grands, great-grands, etc they have always taken care of everything. Of the entire family. They made sure everyone else was ok, even to the point of being detrimental to themselves. Slowly through history women's power has been taken away so for a multitude of generations they have never been shown how to love themselves. Listen as Whitney and Gurds discuss what it looks like to love ourselves and take back our power.  How To Do The Inner Work?  You first must identify the trauma and really look at where that trauma may be rooted in your ancestral lineage. You start to see the patterns. Familial patterns and ancestral patterns of belief systems. Once you release the trauma you become able to give yourself love. Once you truly care about yourself you become able to set healthy boundaries. And finally we reintegrate our inner child so that she finally feels safe so she can flow with you and bring in the freedom and joy.  How to Transform Trauma and Infinitely Trust Yourself  When you feel most out of alignment, most simply, ask yourself what you need right now and listen to that wisdom. Your intuition will give you the answer you can trust.  Inner Peace Is The New Rich  Society today is focused on the workaholic. Focusing on the money and never focusing on ourselves. Our education system never taught us about balance. We must feel, deal with, and heal our emotions. Without peace you will never find happiness. There is nothing that says you can't have peace AND money.  When we see being spiritual and ambitious as God's work then we know we are in alignment and truly living our purpose. Episode 120: On this episode, Past Life Regression Session Therapist, Simon Bown joins me on the show. Simon has a diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy and he is certified in Past Life Regression Therapy with the Past Life Awakening Institute. This week is extra special! Last year one of the most listened to episodes of Spiritual & Ambitious was about how to align your energy where Emily Aarons was my guest. And one of her most popular episodes on Aligned & Unstoppable was when she interviewed me about Spirit Guides. So we are taking the most asked questions about energy and Spirit Guides from you and answering them in this 2 part episode. You can listen to Part 1 with Emily on Aligned & Unstoppable and Part 2 right here, now, on Spiritual & Ambitious.  Energy Question #1   How can our Spirit Guides help us remove energy blocks? Listen as Emily shares when she channeled an energy healing with Spirit Guides specifically to remove energy blocks. It is one of her favorite episodes to date. They can help us energetically in many ways. We can ask for help in removing blockages, or to bring our attention to certain areas. We can even ask for help in leading us to the right program or energy healer to help with our specific needs.  Energy Question #2  What is energy alignment? To Emily, alignment is integrated into the Chakra system. In alignment energy flows from one point to the next uninhibited. Stress and agitation can create blocks in that system. Alignment is flowing and moving through decisions listening to your intuition. There is also the physical component. Exercise, healthy eating, hydration, and getting enough rest are also important to staying in alignment.  Energy Question #3  Best method for aligning chakras? Listen as Emily shares a beautiful visual of her latest channeled energy to quickly and easily harmonize your chakras to your highest current vibration. This also helps with dissolving cords as well. Emily shares her unique perspective on cords and removing them.  Energy Question #4  What is the most important thing to do to release bad energy? Emily says she doesn't think of good energy vs bad energy. Energy just is. However, we want to surround ourselves with energy that supports us at the highest level. Emily also shares some examples of the types of energies that may not be supportive.  Energy Question #5  How often should we meditate for energetic alignment? Emily shares the most basic answer to this question. You clean things when they get dirty. At minimum you should clear in the morning to set intention for the day and right before bed to release energies that are not yours. But anytime you feel “exposed” to heaviness you can do a quick 1 minute clearing.  Energy Question #6  How do you keep your energy aligned when you're in a negative environment? You can't control others, you can only control yourself and your reactions. So set the intention that you will have a day full of good energy. In a world that far too easily activates the stress response (think low vibration), it's so important to be intentional about connecting to joy. She believes that our culture and belief systems determine our perceptions of the natural order of things. This, in turn, determines the roles we play in our relationships and in all areas of our lives, including the relationship with ourselves. On a soul level, it is interesting that she chose to be born in South Africa to a Portuguese family, as Africa contains a wide variety of cultures, beliefs, and religions. Fortunate enough to be born into a fifth generation, spiritually-gifted, and awakened family, she developed her spiritual abilities in a completely safe and encouraging environment. Living in South Africa exposed her to the good, the bad, and the downright ugly of the spiritual realm. Wanting to explore this world a little further, at the age of 21, she set off to travel Europe, to learn and experience other cultures firsthand. She found herself settling in Edinburgh, Scotland where she lived for 13 years, using it as a base while visiting other European countries. She then moved to Canada for 10 years. She decided to formalize her hands-on healing abilities by diving into Reiki and Craniosacral work.
