Bill Gruhlkey and Roger Morris welcome their guest Pastor Roger Beach of Riverside Cowboy Church (Nevada, Missouri) to continue "Your Identity in Christ Part III," urging you to pursue unity with other believers and be in a Bible-teaching, Holy Spirit-led church. Using Isaiah 54:9, they emphasize that God's covenant of peace/blessing is unbreakable, He isn't angry with you, and He loves you the same regardless of past failures. They challenge feelings-based faith and remind you that the Word doesn't change, that "these signs shall follow them that believe" (Mark 16), and that faith is required to receive God's promises. Roger shares his struggle with depression and points to Isaiah 45:3 about "treasures hidden in darkness," encouraging you to refocus on Jesus, rise after setbacks, and accept prayer for anxiety and peace, followed by an invitation to receive Christ and a salvation prayer. A soldier wrote his dad from a combat zone in a war-torn country. In the upper left hand corner under his name he wrote, “Not Here for Very Long.” True of the soldier - true of each of us. Life at its longest is very short in light of eternity. Wisely Moses advised us to go to God and ask him to: “Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” Time has no favorites. Main idea: Our prejudices will not stop an unstoppable Gospel from going to all people 1. The Setup: God's Sovereign Initiative 2. The Encounter: Gospel proclaimed without prejudice 3. The Implication: The church must GO to all people Discussion Questions: 1. What does Peter's vision reveal about God's attitude toward Gentiles and the future of the gospel? 2. Why is it significant that Peter was hungry during the vision? 3. How might we today, like Peter, “bundle up whole groups of people” into the metaphorical unclean sheet? 4. When was the last time you intentionally shared a meal or had a meaningful gospel conversation with someone different from you culturally, politically, or economically?

On this episode of Uncommon Sense with Ginny Robinson, I explain why I've shifted to a neutral stance on the Israel-Iran conflict. While mainstream media pressures us to “pick a side,” Scripture tells a deeper story, one that's not bound by modern borders or politics.Christians are the true Israel, not by race or nation, but by faith in Christ. The Church is the chosen people of God, not a geopolitical state. So why are we being told that standing with the a government equals standing with God?We'll unpack the phrase “Judeo-Christian”—what it really means (and what it doesn't)—and discuss how religiously manipulative narratives can cloud our judgment. Supporting everything any group does (whether Jewish, Christian, or Muslim) is not biblical discernment. It's idolatry.None of us are perfect. Not every Christian represents Christ well, and not every Jew or Muslim represents their faith's ideals either. So let's step back, seek the truth, and refuse to be emotionally blackmailed into blind allegiance.--https://policecoffee.com/collections/coffee

Embark on this year-long voyage through the Bible, and let each day's passage uplift and inspire you. TODAY'S EPISODE: Welcome to the Daily Radio Bible! In today's episode, host Hunter guides us through day 169 of our year-long journey through the Scriptures. We begin with the dramatic stories of First Kings 20-21, witnessing the confrontations between King Ahab, Ben-Hadad, and the tragic story of Naboth's vineyard. We continue into Second Chronicles 17, where King Jehoshaphat's faithfulness brings strength and blessing to Judah. Our reading concludes in Colossians 3, with the Apostle Paul's powerful reminder to embrace our new life in Christ and to clothe ourselves with love, forgiveness, and gratitude. Hunter brings these ancient texts to life, reflecting on God's impartial love, the futility of viewing our relationship with Him as transactional, and the good news that we are all included and deeply loved. Join us as we listen, pray, and let the truth of God's Word shape our hearts today. TODAY'S DEVOTION: God has no favorites. I have three daughters and there have been times in life when people have asked me, Hunter, who's your favorite? And I have to chuckle when I hear that because my mind doesn't even go there. I don't think in terms of one daughter being favored over another because they're all my kids. They're my girls. I love them dearly. I have no favorites. And we're told that God has no favorites. We are all his children. It doesn't matter whether we're Abigail, Magdalene, or Eden Hunter, or Heather, or you, or whoever. It doesn't matter. Whether we are Jew or Gentile, circumcised, uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave or free, it doesn't matter. Christ is all that matters. He is the favored one. And we—our lives—are hidden in his. That's what Paul says. Our real life is hidden with God in Christ, the favored one. He has no favorites because we're all favored. We're all loved. We've been included. God has reconciled the whole world to himself. Paul says he has no favorites because we are all loved by him. And that, my friend, is such good news. And the prayer of my own heart today is that I will see who I am in Christ, favored and loved. And that's a prayer that I have for my family, too—for my daughters, for my wife, and for you. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Jesus is my shepherd. You have called me by my name into the life of the Beloved. Here in the stillness, I remember that I am not alone. I belong to you and to the great communion of saints and sinners held together in your love. Remind me, Lord, that every breath is grace, every encounter is a chance to give what I have received—mercy without measure. When I forget who I am, when I lose my way, lead me again to still waters. Restore my soul, renew my hope. Reroute me in the joy of simply being yours. Amen. And now, as our Lord has taught us, we are bold to pray: Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory Forever and ever. Amen. We are often drawn to people who look successful and powerful, even in the church. But this morning James will remind us that God's kingdom does not belong to the elite of this world; God has chosen the poor to be heirs to his kingdom. Join us as the Spirit realigns our hearts with the heart of God.Matthew 2:3-8 (ESV)When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him; and assembling all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born. They told him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for so it is written by the prophet:“‘And you, O Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah;for from you shall come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.'”Then Herod summoned the wise men secretly and ascertained from them what time the star had appeared. And he sent them to Bethlehem, saying, “Go and search diligently for the child, and when you have found him, bring me word, that I too may come and worship him.”James 2:1-13 (ESV)My brothers, show no partiality as you hold the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory. For if a man wearing a gold ring and fine clothing comes into your assembly, and a poor man in shabby clothing also comes in, and if you pay attention to the one who wears the fine clothing and say, “You sit here in a good place,” while you say to the poor man, “You stand over there,” or, “Sit down at my feet,” have you not then made distinctions among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts? Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom, which he has promised to those who love him? But you have dishonored the poor man. Are not the rich the ones who oppress you, and the ones who drag you into court? Are they not the ones who blaspheme the honorable name by which you were called? If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well. But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors. For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it. For he who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” If you do not commit adultery but do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. So speak and so act as those who are to be judged under the law of liberty. For judgment is without mercy to one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
How do you think God looks at your spiritual life right now? Do you have confidence because you assume you’re doing better than others? I mean nobody’s perfect, but you’re certainly doing better than someone like, Randy, or Scotty right? Imagine you’re sitting in the back of a packed courtroom with a despicable criminal on trial for despicable crimes. The prosecutor has just finished his airtight case against the defendant, detailing every crime, misstep, and even private sin. You find yourself stunned by the evil this criminal has committed, and that the prosecutor has exposed. You’re nodding in agreement with the prosecutor, shaking your head in disgust at the guilty party. Then the judge points at you & asks the prosecutor, “Yeah that’s bad but isn’t this person over here just as bad?” Romans 2 is that moment. After Paul’s indictment of the pagan world in Romans 1, it’s easy for us to point fingers. We agree w/his condemnation of sexual immorality, murder, lying, slander etc., All of that is bad, all of us are guilty. But in chapter 2, Paul flips the script. The spotlight shifts, & now Paul puts religion & spirituality on trial! Whether you wear the mask of the religious, the enlightened, the spiritual, or see yourself as somehow politically, culturally, or intellectually superior in God’s eyes to anyone else, Paul deconstructs that folly completely.

Have you ever been on the wrong end of unfair treatment, bias, or one-sided favoritism? Was someone treated better than you because of their money or last name? This kind of favoritism is common in a sinful, secular world, but something is really wrong when this kind of prejudice shows up inside the church. In James chapter two, what does James say about discrimination and favoritism in the church? What are four reasons why favoritism is forbidden? (James, part 3)

The story of Peter's encounter with a Roman soldier represents a turning point, not only in the Book of Acts but in the history of Christendom.
