Just weeks after October 7, 2023—the worst moment in Jewish history since the Holocaust—Pastor Jeff Durbin of Apologia Studios released a video discussing the massacre. In it, he argued that Jewish people who do not believe in Jesus are not truly Jewish and are not God's chosen people. Instead, he claimed that Christians are the true Jews—that Christians are Israel. Through this video, Pastor Jeff Durbin fuels and spreads antisemitism. The video you are about to watch is a Messianic Jewish response, correcting the gross errors Pastor Jeff makes and offering a careful exegesis of the biblical passages he misuses to support his claims.0:00 – Responding to Pastor Jeff Durbin taking advantage of October 7th to promote replacement theology7:00 – Showing why Pastor Jeff Durbin's interpretation of Romans 2.27–29 is incorrect and exegeting the text 26:53 – Responding to Pastor Jeff Durbin's antisemitic comments29:43 – Showing why Pastor Jeff Durbin's interpretation of Romans 9:6 is incorrect and exegeting the text46:24 – What God says about Israel in the Tanakh 47:31 – What Paul says about Israel Original clip You can also watch on our YouTube channelFollow us on Social Media: FacebookInstagramIf you are looking for a way to support us and gain early access to our content, you can become a monthly supporter on Subscribestar We also have: PayPal___________________________ Resources:David J. An Israeli cabinet meeting expected to give the final approval for the ceasefire and hostage release deal has been delayed, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accusing Hamas of backtracking on the deal.It comes as there has been renewed hope of a deal being done. So, when should we see a result?Bel Trew, The UK Independent's Chief International Correspondent and Scott Lucas, Professor and Political Analyst at the Clinton Institute in UCD, join Kieran to discuss.
In John's Gospel, there are seven famous I AM statements where Jesus discloses his true identity. By saying, “I AM the True Vine,” Jesus is claiming to be the True Israel who is capable of doing what God's people in the Old Testament failed to do – to be fruitful as a blessing to the nations. If New Testament believers abide in Jesus like branches in a vine, we can partake in the same mission to bear much fruit that blesses others
Join us this week as we continue our Bible study of Romans with Chapter 9 verses 6-18. We examine the promise of God to the descendants of Israel, how it relates to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and what that means for us as Christians today.

The nation of Israel was led out of Egypt, passed through the water, led into the wilderness to be tempted, failed in their temptation and testing, and failed to keep the law perfectly. Christ, the true Israel of God came of Egypt, was baptized in the Jordan river, tempted in the wilderness but did not sin, and then succeeded in keeping the Law perfectly. As a result of our union with the true Israel of God, the true Servant of God, the true Vine which is Christ we are regarded as spiritual Israel and will inherit the true promised land forever!

Like the other two, this test was part of His Father's proving out of His own assertion concerning Jesus that He was His beloved and well-pleasing son. And because Jesus was being tested as Son of God in solidarity with Israel, His testing was as human son of God - God's True Israel in whom Israel was to be renewed and reconciled.

This message examines the second of three tests Jesus underwent during His forty-day wilderness ordeal. Like the other two, this test was ordained by Jesus' God and Father to prove out His human sonship as True Israel as affirmed at His baptism. Specifically, it involved a temptation to -put God to the test- by seeing if He would honor His promise to protect His faithful children.

The Old Testament teaches that Gentiles will be included in the restored Israel (see, as one example, Psalm 87). However, the New Testament reveals a "mystery" previously hidden that the restored, true Israel of God has been restructured around identification with the Messiah by faith alone, not ethnic background or observance to the Mosaic law. This is why, we argue, Paul refers to the church as "the Israel of God" (Galatians 6:16) and other NT authors apply titles previously reserved for Israel to the church. The Old Testament makes clear that Gentiles will be blessed in the time of the restoration of Israel from exile. However, to what degree and in what way the Gentiles will be included isn't as clearly revealed in the Old Testament as it is in the New. What does Scripture teach is the relationship between Israel and the church and the inclusion of the Gentiles in the new covenant era? You can watch this message here.

From the humble beginnings of a small group which obediently waits the direction of their King, God will build His Kingdom. God is sovereign over everything and victorious over those who oppose Him. He destroys all that oppose His anointed and His Kingdom. Under the providential selection of God, the eleven select Matthais to complete the twelve once again. Thus, the tribal heads of Israel are reconstituted in preparation for the restoration of Israel by the establishment of True Israel at Pentecost.

Today's word: The proclamation of Yah to all nations- True Israel will be gathered from the four corners and settled in the heritage of their fathers. After a time of dwelling peacefully Russia shall come upon them for war, led by Yah and their own arrogance into a merciless trap. "The destroyer will be destroyed." Israel shall face terror but the Lord shall rescue her, yet her salvation shall not come until she cries- BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD. Synopsis: To understand Romans 11 and the Future of ethnic Israel, we must first understand the biblical revelation of God's Election of Israel. Election must be handled with great care, for it is a deep mystery. The Bible reveals that election is a Trinitarian Decree, that the church is elected in Christ; being a personal grace, not fatalistic or mechanistic. Sermon Text: 1 Peter 1:9-10; Deuteronomy 14:2

Who is the true Israel of God? The answer lies in the Bible. In this episode, we uncover an age-old mystery hidden for many ages. In a world marked by shifting boundaries and ongoing conflicts, the question of the true Israel's identity becomes increasingly vital. Join us on a profound journey as we explore the biblical perspective on 'True Israel' and its relevance in today's ever-changing Middle East.
Jeff Durbin has identified the Church as the True Israel of God, and has stated that it is not possible for the nation of Israel to be considered God's chosen people. According to Durbin, it is insulting that Christians would think Israel is God's chosen people, and the Bible does not call them that. We review the Apologia Studios episode on Israel and the chosen people of God, asking whether their statements is a fair representation of what Scripture has to say about Israel and the Church.
