Sunday Morning Message - Psalm 145: A Psalm of PraiseIn this message from November 30, Pastor Kyle walks us through Psalm 145, a powerful hymn of praise that celebrates the greatness, goodness, and compassion of our God. David declares that the Lord is worthy of exaltation in every generation because His character never changes—He is gracious, merciful, patient, and overflowing with steadfast love. Psalm 145 reminds us that God is near to all who call on Him and faithful in all His ways, inviting us to respond with worship and trust. As we continue our mini-series, “A Season in Psalms,” we'll see how this psalm lifts our eyes from our challenges to the unmatched majesty of the King who reigns forever.
Today we're going to see a 110-year-old Joshua reflecting on his life's ups and downs. Open up a Bible and follow along with Pastor Kyle.
This Sunday, Pastor Kyle wraps up our Generosity series by highlighting a few stories from his recent trip to Asia and taking a brief look at 1 Timothy 6:17-19. We hope you will be encouraged.
Have you ever felt the tension between what God has promised and what you currently experience in life? Do you struggle to obey God after receiving a blessing, or wonder how to trust Him when life is painful or hard? In this message, Pastor Kyle unpacks Genesis 21:1-8 and 22:1-14, exploring the fulfillment of God's promise to Abraham and the radical test of his faith. Discover the lessons on true faith that continues to trust, obey, and celebrate, even when faced with the most challenging sacrifices. In this sermon, you'll learn: - How God's delays are not denials, and that He fulfills His promises at the time He has spoken. - Why true faith requires continued obedience and celebration, even after receiving what you want. - That God tests us so that we may know what is inside us, helping us grow and develop. - The difference between God's testing (which aims for us to pass) and the devil's temptation (which aims for us to fail). - The importance of immediate obedience, responding to God's call with "Here I am". - The necessity of sacrificing what we love and trusting God with our future, as He ultimately provides the sacrifice. - How the story of Isaac's near-sacrifice foreshadows Jesus Christ's ultimate substitutionary sacrifice. Key Topics Covered: - The 25-year wait between God's promise to Abraham and the birth of Isaac. - Living in the tension between what is seen in God's Word and what is experienced in the world. - The connection between Abraham's sacrifice of his past, present, and future, and the sacrifices God asks of us. - God's motivation methods: the love of God, the rewards of God, and the fear of God. - The significance of the phrase "The Lord will provide" (Jehovah Jireh). - The parallels between Isaac (the son of promise) and Jesus (the ultimate Son of promise). If you're seeking to understand the faithfulness of God in your seasons of waiting, or if you need encouragement to embrace sacrifice and obedience, this message will inspire and challenge you.

Have you ever felt stuck waiting for God's promises, wrestling with doubt, or wanting answers in a season of silence? In this message, Pastor Kyle unpacks Genesis 17, exploring the covenant God establishes with Abraham, including the unexpected command of circumcision. The message highlights the theme of faith that is tested, marked, and leads to worship and change. In this sermon, you'll learn: - How faith starts with God revealing Himself ("I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be blameless") before calling us to action. - The difference between "walking with God" (fellowship) and being called to "walk before me" (knowing God is watching). - That God desires progress, not perfection, which is captured in the word "blameless" meaning "single-hearted" and wholly devoted to the Lord. - The importance of thinking generationally, as God promises Abraham lineage and a legacy of nations, contrasting with modern short-term, instant thinking. - That faith changes you, as seen in the name change from Abram to Abraham ("father of a multitude of nations") and Sarai to Sarah ("Princess"), showing God redefines identity based on His promise, not their past. Key Topics Covered: - The Three "Greats" in the Bible: Great Commandment, Great Commission, and Great Compassion. - The Sign of the Covenant: Circumcision, and its significance as a personal, painful, and permanent sign of loyalty and sacrifice, which in the New Testament is replaced by Baptism. - Worship and Response: Abraham's emotional response of falling on his face, which is a sign of surrender and is related to the idea of an emotional and volitional response to God's Word. - Immediate Obedience and Leading by Example: Abraham's immediate action to circumcise all the males in his house that very day. - Laughter in Faith: Abraham's initial laughter in response to the promise of a son through a 90-year-old Sarah, and the son's name, Isaac, which means "Laughter".
This week's message from Pastor Kyle Doan, “Living in the Middle,” dives deeper into what we've been walking through in our Home Churches — learning to live at the beautiful intersection of grace and faith. As we continue strengthening the core of who we are as a church, we explore how these three pillars shape our lives, using the story of Nathaniel in John 1 as a powerful picture of how Jesus meets us with grace, draws out our faith, and transforms us through encounter!
Sunday Morning Message - Psalm 62In this message from November 16, Pastor Kyle explores King David's response to insurmountable circumstances and how he chose to anchor his soul in God alone. In a world that constantly demands our attention and offers countless false sources of security, David models for us the discipline of waiting in silence before God. This passage reminds us that what we learn in desperation will help us stay focused on what truly matters when life is well. As we head into the holiday season, this word helps us walk forward with greater perspective and fuller joy, knowing that our hope, identity, stability, and security all rest in Christ alone.
As we continue with Pastor Kyle's series on the life of Abraham and his walk of faith, we come to the place in the narrative where God gives Abraham a timeline of when his son (Isaac) will be born. An improbable thing for such an old couple, but yet God told him (over a decade prior) that he would have a son with Sarah, his wife. How does laughter and wonderment relate to this encounter? Listen to find out.

Today we're going to see how the Israelites had an unholy, downward shift. One BIG THING changed for the Israelites along with a few smaller things that led to this “unholy shift.” They had just dominated Jericho and all the Pagan Nations were terrified of them. Yet, in a matter of days, EVERYTHING CHANGED. Open a Bible to the Book of Joshua and follow along with Pastor Kyle.

Sunday Morning Message - "Spirit-Filled Parenting"In this message from November 2, Pastor Kyle explores God's design for the parent-child relationship and how biblical parenting reflects our relationship with Him. We learn that parenting isn't just about raising better kids—it's about displaying Christ to the next generation. Paul's household codes in Ephesians show us that when parents display obedience to God, it disciples their children toward obedience. Our marriages and our walk with Christ become our loudest witness to our children. This passage calls children to obey and honor their parents "in the Lord," while challenging fathers (and all parents) not to provoke their children but to bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. There's something profoundly beautiful about the way God designed families to work. Not just as biological units sharing the same last name, but as spiritual incubators where faith is caught as much as it's taught. The relationships between parents and children aren't merely about keeping order in the home—they're about displaying something far greater: the very nature of God's kingdom.

This message launches a new series on the life of Abraham, where Pastor Kyle highlights Abraham as an example of faith and multiplication. In Genesis 12, we see a contrast between God's promises and human failure, showing that faith is an active response to God's Word, a willingness to go without knowing. Even in Abraham's moments of foolishness and doubt, God's faithfulness and grace shine through, and we see how God uses imperfect people to fulfill His global plan of blessing through one man, Jesus.
How should Christians handle Halloween? This is a question often asked by believers at this time of year. Listen in as Pastor Kyle describes the origins of Halloween and looks at how Christians throughout history dealt with it as well. In addition, is there a way we can use this event to reach others for Christ?
Sunday Morning Message - "Spirit-Filled Marriage"In this message from October 26, Pastor Kyle is in Ephesians 5:21–33, focusing on God's design for marriage and relationships. Marriage is meant to reflect Christ's relationship with the Church—marked by love, respect, and mutual submission. Husbands are called to love their wives sacrificially, just as Christ loved the Church and gave Himself up for her, while wives are called to honor and respect their husbands as unto the Lord. Through this passage, Pastor Kyle challenges us to see marriage not as a contract but as a covenant that displays the gospel, encouraging every couple to model Christ's love and humility in their homes and relationships.
A big and bold Christian faith is more subtle, nuanced, and emotionally intelligent than we would think. Boldness in God's kingdom isn't always loud and showy. Sometimes it looks like stopping, aligning with God, and following His lead. Open a Bible to Joshua 5 and follow along with Pastor Kyle!

Paul warns that deceiving doctrines will try to pull believers away from Jesus, so the church must cling to the truth, be trained by Scripture, and persist in godliness. Pastor Kyle shows that truth isn't protected by accident. We block lies, saturate our lives with the Word, and put it into practice. As we pursue daily obedience with hope in the living God, our lives become a model for others and a safeguard for the church. Pastor Kyle teaches from Psalm 51, showing that repentance is a hopeful word, not about behavior modification but about heart transformation initiated by the Holy Spirit. He reminds us that all sin is ultimately against God and that true cleansing and restoration are found in Christ alone.
Sunday Morning Message - "Believe and Experience"In this message from October 5, Pastor Kyle highlights Paul's powerful prayer for the Ephesian church, emphasizing the importance of not just knowing the truths of the gospel intellectually, but experiencing them deeply in our hearts. We explored how Paul prayed for believers to be strengthened by the Holy Spirit, to comprehend the vast love of Christ, and to live in a manner worthy of our calling. This message challenges us to move beyond mere head knowledge to a transformative heart experience of God's love and power in our lives.
In today's discussion on Abram's journey of faith, we see that God makes a covenant with Abram. Whereas covenants at that time required both parties to agree to something (thereby binding both to the terms of the covenant), God does something different. He unilaterally makes the covenant and takes it upon Himself to pay the price if Abram doesn't fulfill his part. At first this may sound confusing, but listen in as Pastor Kyle explains how this all plays out and what it means for us today.

As Americans, we cherish our independence. Unfortunately, this tends to also apply to our attitude towards God. Today, Pastor Kyle highlights the test of Dependence that God puts Abram through. This is part of how God is developing Abram's faith in Him. What can we learn from this? Listen to find out.
Pastor Kyle teaches from Colossians 3:22–4:6, showing how our work and our witness go hand in hand. As Christians, we're called to work wholeheartedly as if serving the Lord, knowing our efforts, whether physical or intellectual, can ease human suffering and promote human flourishing. He challenges us to be intentional about our witness by praying for open doors to share the gospel.

We make decisions to do things all the time. Some of them conscious and some unconscious. Some of them have good results and some of them yield “not-so-good” results. Making good decisions is a learned process and often hinges on our priorities at that time. Today, Pastor Kyle explores some decisions Abram and his nephew, Lot, have made and the results thereof. One key thought from this is: “Will the decision I'm about to make enhance my relationship with God?” This is a question that Christians should consider in their decision making. Do you?
