Sunday Morning Message - "Win! Running the Race and Fighting the Fight"In this message from June 21, Pastor Kyle is in 1 Corinthians chapter 9 drawing focus on how life was intended to have a bigger mission than personal success or earthly accomplishments. Through Paul's example, we discovered that true fulfillment comes when we embrace our part in God's story - living to see others won into the family of God. This radical reorienting of life calls us to view everywhere God has sent us as our mission field: our families, workplaces, and communities. Paul's passion wasn't just for personal comfort but for the sake of the gospel, demonstrating that the good news of Jesus is too important to stop with us.

In this sermon, Pastor Kyle challenges believers to measure their lives by a different scoreboard—one of surrender, spiritual growth, and lasting fruit. He reminds us that discipleship is not about activity, attendance, or outward success, but about abiding deeply in Christ, allowing God to shape our hearts, and producing fruit that impacts others for eternity. Even life's hardships can become fertile ground for growth when surrendered to God.

Sunday Morning Worship - "Don't Become a Stumbling Block!"In this message from June 14, Pastor Kyle focuses on the tension between Christian liberty and Christian love, using Paul's teaching about food sacrificed to idols as a framework. While the Corinthian believers were technically correct that idols have no real power, their knowledge was causing them to overlook something far more important—the spiritual wellbeing of fellow believers. This passage calls us to evaluate our decisions not merely by what we have the "right" to do, but by what best serves others and glorifies Christ. The implications for our spiritual life are profound: our maturity isn't measured by how much freedom we can exercise, but by how willingly we lay down our rights out of love for God and others.
This Sunday, Pastor Kyle from Bethel Church in Lansing joined us and shared from Mark 3, reminding us that Jesus doesn't turn away from our weaknesses; He invites us to bring them to Him. When we stop hiding our brokenness and come to Christ, we find grace, healing, and restoration.

Ruth is kind of the Bible's "chick flick." It has grief, loyalty, a journey to a small town, a field, a love story, a noble man, a vulnerable woman. It's a story of redemption. Open a Bible to Ruth 1 and follow along with Pastor Kyle.

Sunday Morning Message - "Marriage & Singleness"In this message from June 7, Pastor Kyle continues in 1 Corinthians 7:17-37 and how our identity in Christ transcends our circumstances, relationships, and situations in life. Paul addresses believers in various life situations—circumcised and uncircumcised, slave and free, married and single—with a unifying message: God has placed you exactly where you are for His purposes. The passage calls us beyond obsessing over our current circumstances to live with eternal urgency and focus. Whether we find ourselves in ideal situations or challenging ones, our brief time on earth demands that we live for what will last forever—only what's done for Christ.

In this sermon, Pastor Kyle teaches that the greatest legacy we can leave is not success, possessions, or opportunities, but a genuine faith in Jesus that is passed to the next generation. He challenges parents, grandparents, and the church to stop outsourcing spiritual responsibility and instead model a real relationship with God in everyday life. As faith is pressed into our own hearts first, we can intentionally invest in the next generation so they know God's faithfulness, walk in His ways, and carry His kingdom further than we ever could.

In this sermon, Pastor Kyle teaches that money is a powerful tool but a terrible master. He challenges us to stop letting fear, debt, comparison, and consumerism control our lives and instead put God first in every area, including our finances. Through biblical stewardship, generosity, and kingdom priorities, we can move from stress and scarcity into freedom, peace, and legacy, learning that true prosperity is not found in possessions but in trusting and honoring God.
Pastor Kyle reminds us that while our past may try to compete with God's work in our lives, God is always able to bring healing, restoration, and purpose. We are not defined by our old identity, but transformed into a new creation. If we stop rehearsing the past, God can turn grief into presence, shame into dignity, and unhealthy cycles into a godly legacy!

Sunday Morning Message - "Delightfully Different"In this message from May 24, Pastor Kyle explores Paul's urgent call for believers to live according to their true identity in Christ, addressing how we handle disputes with fellow believers, maintain our witness before the world, and honor God with our bodies. Paul reminds us that too much is at stake—our personal holiness, our witness, and the reputation of Christ's church—to not take these matters seriously. The core message is this: we must remember who we are as children of God and allow that identity to shape every area of our lives, from our relationships to our personal choices.

In this sermon, Pastor Kyle teaches that money is not the problem, but the place money holds in our hearts can become one. He challenges us to stop chasing what never satisfies and instead put God first as our true source, provider, and foundation. Through biblical stewardship, discipline, and surrender, we can find freedom from financial stress and discover that true prosperity is not just having more money, but having peace, purpose, and a soul aligned with God's plan.
The past couple of weeks, Pastor Kyle has been focusing on how Abraham's belief in God's promise to make him a father of a great nation has had an effect on his actions. Today, Pastor Kyle's takes a deep dive into what he believes are the two greatest promises of God and how that impacts how we live today.
Behind Your Back: Pastor Kyle Jackson
| Sermon by Pastor Kyle Ruud | This Sunday we're in Mark 4, and we're talking about something we all want but can never seem to find. Stillness. The kind of stillness where you actually stop fighting long enough to see what God is doing. Jesus has a habit of calming storms, and this week we're going to talk about what it looks like to let Him calm yours. Check Out Our Website https://htcfamily.org/ Building Lives For Life Change. 17 May 2026 | This week Pastor Kyle returns to Liberti Northeast to preach from Romans 3:28-4:5, on our Faith and its connections back to the Faith of Abraham. Romans 3:28-4:5 28 For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law. 29 Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also, 30 since God is one—who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith. 31 Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law. Abraham Justified by Faith 4 What then shall we say was gained by Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh? 2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. 3 For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.” 4 Now to the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift but as his due. 5 And to the one who does not work but believes in[a] him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness,

You may feel weak, stuck, or ashamed. But if you are in Christ, your standing before God is settled forever. There is now no condemnation. In Romans 8:1–11, Paul takes us to one of the most hope-filled chapters in the Bible and shows us what God has done for us through the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus was condemned in your place so that you could be fully accepted. And the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead now lives in you. This message is about more than forgiveness. It is about freedom, transformation, and the assurance that God is at work in you right now. In this message, Pastor Kyle explores: What it means that there is “now no condemnation” The difference between conviction and condemnation How the Father planned, the Son accomplished, and the Spirit applies salvation What it means to walk according to the Spirit Practical ways to set your mind on the things of the Spirit How the Holy Spirit dwells in every believer Why the resurrection power of God is already at work in you If you are in Christ, you are not trying to earn God's acceptance. You already have it. And the Spirit of God is in you, empowering you to live a new life with freedom, peace, and hope.
In the past few weeks, Pastor Kyle has been discussing Abraham's faith and trust in God – ultimately to the point of trusting His promise regarding his descendants through his only son (at that time), Isaac. In order to trust someone, we need to believe that they are trustworthy and faithful. Today, we take a deeper look into how Abraham can trust God and how & why we can also trust Him, too.
Sunday Morning Message - "God Sees You, Hears You, and Is Using You this Mother's Day"In this special Mother's Day message, Pastor Kyle encourages mothers and all women by reminding them that God sees, hears, helps, uses, and delights in them. From Hagar's encounter with “the God who sees,” to Hannah's desperate prayers, it shows that God is attentive to a mother's tears, prayers, and sacrifices. Scripture is used to highlight how God strengthens those who are weak, gently leads those with young, and clothes women with strength, dignity, and wisdom. The message honors biological, foster, and adoptive moms, emphasizing that God uses their love and faithfulness to bring generational blessing and to shape future believers, just as Lois and Eunice did with Timothy. Ultimately, it affirms that God is proud of the spiritual impact and everyday faithfulness of mothers, and that their labor in the Lord and in their families is deeply seen and valued.
You don't understand yourself. You don't obey yourself. You can't change yourself. And deep down… you know it. There's a war within. In Romans 7:14-25, Paul gives one of the most honest descriptions of the human experience. He says, “I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate.” There's a gap between who you are and who you want to be. A gap between your desire and your ability. This message isn't about pretending that struggle doesn't exist. It's about understanding it and knowing where real hope is found. In this message, Pastor Kyle explores: - Why you don't understand your own behavior - The gap between your desires and your ability - What the Bible means by “the flesh” and indwelling sin - Why trying harder isn't enough to change you - How the war within is actually evidence of real faith - Why the answer isn't a “what”… but a Who You are not the only one who feels this, and you are not meant to win this war alone. There is a Savior who meets you in the struggle and delivers you from it.
Breakthrough isn't random — there are principles that lead to it! As we continue with Pastor Kyle's series on the life of Abraham, we see how Abraham has learned to have COMPLETE trust in God's promises. Trust is basic to obedience. Last week, we saw that Abraham had full obedience to God. Today, we will see how he was able to obey God due to his complete trust in Him. So what does this have to do with us, today? Listen to find out.
Sin doesn't just influence your life. It tries to rule it. It promises freedom, but it actually takes control, using you and leading you somewhere you never meant to go. That's why you can't just “will” your way out of it. The truth is: you're not as free as you think. We're all serving something. In this message, Pastor Kyle walks through Romans 6:14-23 and unpacks a life-changing statement: In Christ, you are not under law, but under grace. And that changes everything. The grace of Jesus can break sin's rule, remove your shame, and give you a new way to live. In this message, we explore: - How everyone is serving something (even if they don't realize it) - The difference between living under law vs. under grace - Why true freedom isn't autonomy, but having the right master - How grace gives you power, not just permission
