An ordained minister, international speaker, and author, she co-founded All Woman Ministry in Calgary in 2005 to empower women and began a domestic violence awareness campaign, “I Choose Me Over Abuse,” during the COVID-19 pandemic. In February 2022, Dee established Ruth's House, the first ethnocultural organization addressing domestic violence in Calgary's Black community, offering shelter and culturally tailored services. Expanding her mission, she launched Mandela House in July 2024, Calgary's first emergency and transitional housing for Black men. With nearly 30 years of advocacy, Dee champions safety, healing, and community-based solutions rooted in faith and culture.
