Now that you've set your focus area, it's time to tackle the root of self-control—your thoughts. The battle begins in your mind, and today, we're diving into 2 Corinthians 10:5, learning how to take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ.
On this episode of Buzzing About Romance, Leah and Amanda join Becky to talk about the Female Archetype- The Warrior.
Warrior Woman, the battle isn't just around you—it's within you. The enemy has whispered lies, using your past, your pain, and your wounds as weapons against you. He doesn't need a new tactic because he knows where you're vulnerable. But this time, you will not break. You were never meant to stay wounded. Your struggles were not designed to cripple you; they were meant to train you, to strengthen you, to prepare you for war.In this episode of Healing for My Soul, we expose the enemy's game plan, uncover how he uses your past against you, and take back everything he thought he stole. Too many women feel stuck in cycles of pain, constantly fighting battles they don't understand, but now is the time to rise. You were built for this. You were called for this. Healing isn't just about surviving—it's about breaking free, standing in your truth, and reclaiming your power. If you've ever felt like you've been fighting a war no one sees, this episode is for you.Join the movement, step into your healing, and walk boldly in the power that's already inside of you.
In this powerful episode of Healing for My Soul, Pastor Dee speaks directly to the warrior within you. Your wounds tell a story—not of defeat, but of resilience, survival, and the battles you've endured. But you were never meant to stay wounded. This season is not just about surviving—it's about doing the deep, transformative work to truly heal your soul.Women before you—your grandmothers, your mothers, your ancestors—fought their battles. Now, the question is: will you fight for the women who come after you? Healing isn't pretty; it's raw, real, and radical. And in this season, Pastor Dee is bringing you into the truth, challenging you to face the pain, release the burdens, and embrace the healing that God has for you.You are chosen. You have a purpose. The enemy may have tried to wound you, but God has called you to rise. This episode marks the beginning of your journey to restoration, healing, and empowerment. If you're ready to confront what's been buried deep within and transform your wounds into wisdom, this is your moment. Join the movement, step into your purpose, and let the healing begin.
Australia's 'Queen of Hearts' was born on the day when Dawn Beaumont brought her mother back to life. Even as her extensive, professional First Aid training kicked in - as Dawn calmly performed CPR on her mum in the middle of a crowded theatre foyer - the experienced health and safety manager grappled with the knowledge that her mother was having a potentially fatal heart attack. With a family history of coronary disease and obesely overweight and a smoker, Janet was (in her daughter's words) 'literally a ticking time bomb'. Thankfully, Janet survived her 2013 health emergency. And now, she's become an integral part of her daughter's epic Duathlon support crew - as Dawn takes on the world-record-breaking challenge of running and riding 20,000km in 200 days to raise 2 million dollars for the Heart Foundation and the RFDS in 2025. Because it takes a true, modern-day Warrior Woman to claim the title of Australia's Queen of Hearts.***Thanks so much for listening to this episode of the Flying Doctor Podcast. Hi loves! In today's episode, Abbie and I discuss the vital topic of helping a woman in need leave an abusive relationship. Although Abbie didn't know this woman personally, she was quick to step in when approached for assistance. We talked about the importance of having a plan and "backup" in case things go awry. On the day of the departure, Abbie met the woman at her house to help her gather her belongings and leave safely. Thankfully, this woman had prepared ahead of time, ensuring that the process went as smoothly as possible. Leaving an abusive situation is inherently dangerous for anyone, especially for women. Abbie was proactive in informing the police about the situation, just in case, and she made sure the woman wasn't alone with her abuser. If you need help, please reach out—whether to a friend, an acquaintance, or anyone you feel comfortable asking for support. We are here for you. Remember, you are the one who can decide when and if the time is right for you to take action. Start creating a plan and gather your important documents so you can escape quickly when the moment presents itself. The woman she helped is a true warrior. She recognized her need for help, made a plan, and bravely asked a virtual stranger for assistance. Since leaving, she has not looked back. It is not easy, and making such a decision can be painful, and potentially dangerous. Please prioritize your safety and let someone know you need help. Thank you, Abbie, for being there and ensuring the woman's safety. And to the woman who left, we love and admire you. You are a warrior. If you or someone you know needs help, please reach out to the Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 or text BEGIN to 88788. Stay safe, loves.

Season 4, Episode 61: Interview with Eileen Weisinger (Warrior Woman) from John Carpenter's “Ghosts of Mars” (2001) Such an incredible actress with a great outlook on life! I love how she shared her story about being a stunt woman; after all the movies she has been in, she has quite the impressive career. Essentially this movie is Assault on Precinct 13, add a helping of The Thing, and throw in a pinch of Escape from New York, three of John Carpenter's best-loved films. She was also a stunt performer in a plethora of notable movies: I Am Number Four, Iron Man 2, Tekken, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, Star Trek: Nemesis, Not Another Teen Movie, Swordfish, Dracula 2000 and Mimic 2 – just to name a few. But had character roles in the first Iron Man in 2008, The Babysitter, and many more.
Let's dive into the heart of a warrior woman's prayer, drawing strength from Isaiah 40:31. With this prayer, rise above challenges, renew your energy, and stand strong in God's promises. When you wait on the Lord, you'll find His strength, and soar like an eagle, no matter the battles you face. It's time to pray with power and live with purpose and go from stressed to blessed and worrier to warrior.

Welcome back to the Lecker Book Club. Every month I'll pick a newly released food related book and talk to the author about the process of writing it. This month: Namesake: Reflections on a Warrior Woman by N.S. Nuseibeh. Namesake is a collection of essays exploring what it means to be a young, secular Muslim woman today, told through the lens of stories of the author's ancestor, Nusaybah, the only woman warrior to have fought alongside the Prophet. N. S. Nuseibeh is a British Palestinian writer and researcher, born and raised in East Jerusalem. In Namesake, she weaves her own experiences of anxiety, of racism, of joy, of illness, of cooking in shared houses, of aubergines, with the myths and legends told of her ancestor. All of this makes this a book that I think should be required reading for everyone. You can find a transcript for this episode at leckerpodcast.com. Namesake is out now, published by Canongate. Find all of the Lecker Book Club reads on my Bookshop.org list. This month, all the revenue I would normally get from Patreon, Apple Podcasts and Substack will be donated to mutual aid requests from Gazan people on Operation Olive Branch. Do you know a woman who is a spiritual warrior? Welcome to the Daily Devo. I am Vince Miller. This week, we are immersing ourselves in 1 Samuel 2. Chapter 2 contrasts two families—one who stands with God and one in defiance. We begin this chapter with Hannah, a woman, wife, and mother who stood on the side of God. This section is called Hannah's Prayer, and I am not going to read the whole prayer, but I do encourage you to read it. I will read the first verse of this prayer. 1 Samuel 2:1 reads And Hannah prayed and said, “My heart exults in the Lord; my horn is exalted in the Lord. My mouth derides my enemies, because I rejoice in your salvation. — 1 Samuel 2:1 Her prayer is powerful. It read more like a war cry than that of a prayer by a barren housewife. And I love that we have a record of this. You see, we need godly women like this. Women who are fully committed to the Lord. Women who have been tested by life but relentlessly hold on in faith. Women who go to war in prayer for their families. Women that perceive their roles as wives and mothers as one of the most important vocational callings they will ever have in this life. Contrary to all the modern beliefs about women and their roles, Hannah understands and models what womanhood is supposed to look like. It oozes out of her in this prayer. She fights for her faith and battles in prayer for her family because she wants them all to know victory in the Lord. Later, we see how great her victory was. God not only gave her one son—Samuel—but gave her many. 1 Samuel 2:21 reads Indeed the Lord visited Hannah, and she conceived and bore three sons and two daughters. And the boy Samuel grew in the presence of the Lord. — 1 Samuel 2:21 If you are a woman listening today, I want you to know that believing men like us need believing women like you. We need you to war with us in the way only you can. And for the men listening today, you need to support your wife in her spiritual calling. Like Elkanah, you need to love her, nourish her, support her, and listen to her, for she is a woman who cries out in war for your legacy. #HannahsPrayer #SpiritualWarfare #WarriorWomen ASK THIS: How can we emulate Hannah's fervent prayer life in our own spiritual journey, especially in times of difficulty or uncertainty? In what practical ways can husbands support and encourage their wives in their spiritual calling, following Elkanah's example of love and support for Hannah? DO THIS: Support warrior women who are faithful to God. PRAY THIS: Father, grant me the strength and faith of Hannah, to boldly stand in prayer and unwavering commitment to You, trusting in Your faithfulness to bring victory in my life and family. Help me, Lord, to honor and support the women in my life as they courageously walk in their God-given roles, striving for Your kingdom's sake. Amen. PLAY THIS: Warrior.

The essence of this coaching call is what causes inspirational blocks and the unhealthy ways we try to motivate ourselves. Today's caller, Jo, is asking for guidance about how to tap into her inspiration. The pandemic impacted her nervous system and left her lacking the motivation to live into her purpose. [For show notes, go here: Christinehassler.com/episode416]. Often, what inspires us is the stuff that makes us mad. It doesn't mean we need to come out with anger at people. We need to move through the anger to find the fire and the passion that lies underneath. Then, we can step into the feminine power of discernment and discover our Warrior Woman. Which is a beautiful place to be. When we do this we allow ourselves to be pulled forward by a calling and a mission, versus looking for something external to motivate us. Women, in general, are not great with our anger. It leaks out in certain ways but we are not great at tapping into our rage and anger and letting it out in a healthy way. This blocks us from our passion. And if we keep suppressing our emotions, rage, and anger we will feel depressed. Plus, we tend to motivate ourselves by being hard on ourselves and looking at what we think is wrong and the changes we need to make. We believe if we make ourselves miserable enough then maybe we will be motivated to make a change. That is a strategy that doesn't work or only works for the short term. It allows our inner critic to run the show and we burn ourselves out. When we realize we are not doing anything wrong and that we are living our purpose because we are learning, growing, healing, and raising our consciousness, it releases the feeling of failure. If you resonate with this podcast and Christine's style of coaching, Elementum Coaching Institute is the coaching certification program for you. Enrollment closes September 1, 2023, and the course begins September 14th. This is the final course for 2023‒2024. Consider/Ask Yourself: Are you feeling a lack of inspiration? Do you feel you had a setback during the pandemic and you haven't been able to come back from it? Do you want to feel like you're making an impact, that you matter, and what you're doing in the world matters? Are you someone who benefits from connection with other people? Are you an extrovert who isn't connecting with people enough? Jo's Question: Jo is asking about how to find inspiration and motivation for herself and her business in the here and now. Jo's Key Insights and Ahas: She gave up her teaching job to write a novel and build a coaching business. She moved in with her parents. The pandemic impacted her nervous system. She has difficulty spending a lot of time by herself. She wants to do something meaningful. She gets overwhelmed with business tasks. She is trying to motivate herself by being hard on herself. She wants to be inspired by life. She has finished her novel. She signed a lease on an office. She is an extrovert. She lived with depression for a long time. She longs for freedom, transparency, and truth. She sees her anger as a negative. She started her business after she found self-compassion. She is joining Elementum Coaching. How to Get Over It and On With It: When she feels trapped in the moment, consider what choices are available to her. Put herself out there to get connection and support. Tap into the fire beneath her anger and be motivated by her deep desire. Start using her voice again. As you know one of our most basic needs, just to survive, is food. Judging from our climbing obesity rates, it's kind of obvious that food isn't hard to find. Whether it's at your local grocery store or any of the endless options of fast food restaurants that are out there. Now, we're very fortunate to be able to live in the land of plenty. But it's also made most citizens dependent on a re-supply chain that during disasters and other crises could come to a screeching halt, and force everyone to live off of only the food that we have accessible right now in our pantry, refrigerator, and cupboards to feed ourselves and our families. That's why one of the first actions prepared citizens begin to address for hard times is mapping out and alternative food plan that they can depend on when the grocery stores are picked clean, and there's no re-supply on the way. But while putting together your Plan B food options may sound simple, there are common mistakes a lot of people make that can sabotage your efforts when you most need to tap into your stockpile.
Feeling stuck in life, disconnected from your emotions, and unable to access your inner child are all symptoms of the toxic conditioning from society that traps us up against a plexiglass wall. In this episode of Life After Corporate, join host Deb Boulanger and guest Liz Svatek as they shatter the barriers of societal norms and invite us to embrace our playful, vulnerable side. Through their personal journey of overcoming trauma and connecting with their inner self, the thoughtful discussion touched on various aspects of self improvement - from identifying limiting beliefs to trusting our intuitive voice - and emphasized the power of laughter and vulnerability in the process. Liz Svatek's approach to personal growth and healing provides a refreshing take on an often-misunderstood issue, and the episode serves as a great resource for anyone looking to connect with their inner child and experience true emotional freedom. Addressing basic needs and reconnecting with the inner child is crucial to overcoming the plexiglass wall. Healing is a journey, and getting in touch with the little girl is a process that takes time. [26:03 - 29:33] The Power of Letting Your Inner Child Lead The authentic, expressive, and playful qualities of a little girl attract people to us. In this first episode of LANDBACK FOR THE PEOPLE, Nick Tilsen sits at the table with matriarch Madonna Thunder Hawk (Oohenumpa Lakota). Madonna jokingly calls herself the Forest Gump of Indigenous resistance, since, over the last 55 years, she's been at almost every focal point in the fight for Indigenous liberation. Through numerous decades of resistance efforts, from the occupation of Mount Rushmore in 1971 and the takeover of the BIA headquarters in 1972, to the siege at Wounded Knee in 1973 and unforgettably Standing Rock in 2016, Madonna exemplifies what it means to be a true Warrior Woman. Nick and Madonna lay bare how generations of Indigenous people have met across politics and places for the sake of LANDBACK, revealing moments in the movement that were unimaginable. In this conversation, we are reminded of the blood and ancestral memory of our deep connection to land and water, inheriting the movement knowledge and stories of those before us in preparation for a liberated future. Madonna continues to honor the matriarchs of the Red Power Movement through the Warrior Woman Project, a collaborative of matriarchs, storytellers, and archivists who “bring to light the radical impact of Indigenous women” throughout history. https://www.warriorwomen.org/

Jeanne Andrus is a menopause and life coach who started helping women navigate their menopause journeys after her own journey to health and happiness. She is also a certified Personal Trainer, Health Coach, and Behavioral Change Specialist through the American Council on Exercise, as well as the author of 5 books on menopause, including "I Just Want to Be ME Again!" (now in its 2nd edition) and "Where is My Wife and What Have You Done with Her? A Spouse's Guide to Her Menopause". Jeanne is on a mission to help remove the taboo of menopause, that the idea of women who are past menopause are invisible, or over the hill, or all washed up. She often shares the story of how this negative perception of postmenopause is inculcated in us from an early age, and why this is such a wrong perception of the amazing opportunity which menopause opens up for women. Learn more about Jeanne on her website: menopausematterspodcast.com Guest Bio: Jeanne Andrus spent the first 48 years of her life doing everything the "right way." You know, good grades, college, marriage, career, baby... all the things. Then at age 48, perimenopause clobbered her. But her symptoms weren't changing periods and hot flashes. Depression, anger, and low libido took her out of the life she'd built for herself. Determined not to let this change destroy her, she began a 4-year journey to health, happiness, and a new purpose in life. She lost 80 pounds, moved from New England to New Orleans, and quit her corporate job to help other women struggling with menopause symptoms and changes ditch their symptoms and delight in life again. Wanting to understand how and why menopause affects women so completely, Jeanne spends hours down the rabbit holes of the internet, chasing wisps of information about the physical, emotional, mental, and social aspects of “The Change.” She blends her own experience, the results of her research, and her training in traditional exercise and nutrition with a myriad of holistic approaches including Reiki energy healing and yogic breathwork to create a unique coaching experience she calls Menopause Mastery Coaching. In addition to her coaching, Jeanne is the author of five international best sellers on menopause, including “I Just want to Be ME Again!” (now in its second edition) and her book aimed towards men trying to understand how menopause is affecting someone they love – “Where is My Wife and What Have You Done with Her?” When not speaking, writing, and coaching about menopause, she loves hanging out in New Orleans, listening to live music or riding in Mardi Gras parades, or traveling the US with her husband and dog. ___________________ Subscribe to this podcast and download your favorite episodes to listen to later: Apple - https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/fearless-freedom-with-dr-g/id1445500940?ls=1 Spotify - https://open.spotify.com/show/7KbGdl7ZH9FiclDDRjdi52?si=D4YsfvS_S7KcvTSyYIztJA RSS Feed - http://feeds.libsyn.com/143690/rss ___________________ ⚕️ Are you a woman healthcare professional who is struggling to juggle everything in your personal and professional life?

In Latina households, Mother-daughter relationships can be complicated. Michelle Gomez knows what that's like—having worked through 11 years of pain herself. As tempting as it is to put the full blame on moms, they're also victims of colonialist systems of oppression. When Spanish colonialists conquered Latin America, they brought along teachings of Roman Catholicism. The indegenous people were taught to revere the image of a White, male God. The Bible instructed women how to behave. Colonialists started emphasizing the masculine and devaluing the feminine, even though the natives originally believed in the balance of the two energies. Thus, the patriarchy was indoctrinated and passed down to each generation. Parents used these colonialist ideals to rear children. If children deviated from the rules, it would reflect poorly on the parents and they would be punished. This was the environment our mothers grew up in, and they didn't know any better. In order to heal from our mother wounds, Michelle shares two important steps. First, we must reclaim the inner child by working through our traumas. Second, we must grieve our mothers. Recognize them for who they are: imperfect women who did their best to raise their children. In this way, we take responsibility over the healing process, without depending on our mothers for validation or reconciliation. Michelle is a spiritual life coach who specializes in helping Black, Indigenous, and Women of Color (BIWOC) heal the mother wound, connect to their feminine divinity, and unleash their inner Warrior Woman. She is also a keynote speaker and the author of the international bestseller "Own Your Brilliance: Overcome Impostor Syndrome for Career Success".
