Sometimes, at a certain age, devotees wonder, "Am I really going to be a devotee? What about the rest of the world? What about my other opportunities and so forth?" These thoughts are all going through a person's head. Jhanavi Jivan talks about how she and her family went to Sharanagati. You know where that is: it's a farm up in Canada, not too far from Vancouver, I believe. And it's a big devotee farm, obviously. Living there was a very famous sādhvī, a female sādhu. Her name was Yamunā Dāsī. She was one of Prabhupāda's earliest disciples, a very famous devotee not just for singing but also for cooking, and most of all, known for her guru-niṣṭhā. She was determined to serve her guru and totally fixed in service to the lotus feet of Śrīla Prabhupāda as her eternal spiritual master. So she, like Caitanya Mahāprabhu, who describes in the Caitanya-caritāmṛta, had the assets of a sādhu. And what do sādhus have? According to Caitanya Mahāprabhu, they have hymns and instructions. And they're doctors. You know, doctors carry a little black bag. What do they have inside? For the devotee doctors, they have hymns - mantras and also have instructions - how to work the mantra. So when they went and stayed at the home of Yamunā Dāsī, Jhanavi Jivan describes how after a few days of watching this sādhvī, this devotee who was fully dedicated, she never stopped chanting. She was always engaged, always praying to Kṛṣṇa, offering to Kṛṣṇa, teaching how to cook—everything about Kṛṣṇa. In that environment. When she came out, she got into the car. They were leaving. She was sitting in the back seat, and it came through her in a visceral way. She could feel it through her whole body, up her spine, throughout her system that, "I've met the person who's my ideal in life. I want to be like her. I want to be a devotee." And this is the power of association with sādhus. They give us the most valuable asset, which is śraddhā, faith in Kṛṣṇa, that "if I become like this, then I'll be perfect. If I could just be like this person, then everything will be good in my life. I'll be fully satisfied and happy. I want to be that person, I want to follow in his or her footsteps and become a devotee." So this is the most valuable asset. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

Prayer forms the foundation of our relationship with God as we explore three powerful truths: prayer is a priority, a privilege, and powerful. Jesus demonstrated that prayer should be our first response, not our last resort.• Prayer is talking to God - our vehicle for communion with our Creator• Jesus prioritized prayer even during his busiest ministry days• Having direct access to God through prayer is a privilege we often take for granted• Prayer demonstrates power throughout Scripture - while we pray, God works• Five aspects of effective prayer: adoration, confession, intercession, petition, silence• God always answers prayer - with yes, no, or not yet• Nothing should take precedence over your time with GodShare this podcast on your social media by hitting the share button or taking a screenshot and posting it to help spread the word about this ministry.Support the show

Hey there, JOY SEEKER! Welcome back for more Jenn Juice. I'm Jenn Zingmark, your LDS life and divorce coach, here to help you navigate the challenges of divorce with faith, grace, and resilience. Today on the podcast, I'm addressing a topic that weighs heavily on the mind of every faith-filled divorced parent: how will my divorce affect my children? How can I help them stay faithful to the Gospel after my divorce? This subject comes up often when I'm working with my clients. It's a big concern for parents even considering divorce. Many people say they stay in unhappy, unhealthy marriages for the sake of their children because they believe it's better for them to be raised in a home with both parents, even if it's an unhappy, unhealthy one than to go through a divorce. So, I will shed some light on this subject and share ideas to help you navigate this challenging situation with hope, faith, and confidence. I'll share FOUR practical ways you can give your children the support they need to stay grounded in the Gospel after divorce. • Make sure you are part of the Find the Joy With Jenn Fam! In my 20 years of ministry, I have never preached through Romans. It has been said that a faithful preacher will lead his congregation through Romans at least twice. As I begin my 21st year of preaching, I realized I had better get started on my first. Romans is critical to our faith. No other book of the Bible has had a greater effect on church history. Martin Luther’s study of Romans was the impetus for the Reformation. Romans is the essence of Christianity. Romans is an Old Testament commentary. Chapters 9-11 contain at least 40 Old Testament quotations. Paul wanted everyone to know that Christianity is not simply a split off of Judaism. Instead, Christianity is Judaism that has flourished to its fulfillment in Christ. No other book of the Bible more clearly explains the Gospel. It sits in the lead chair of all of Paul’s epistles. I have come to a firm conviction that if you only have one book of the Bible, you must have Romans. If you have never been led through a verse by verse study, I would encourage you to be faithful during this series. Certainly there are far more gifted and far more intelligent expositors who can lead you through Romans in the hundreds of series available online. However, there is something special about walking through this book in the unity and fellowship of a family of faith. Romans is not my favorite book of the Bible, but my preparation for this study has already begun to work in my heart in a way that no other study has. My joy in preaching is simply sharing with you not only what God has taught me, but how His Word is changing me and hopefully changing us. It’s going to be a great adventure. I pray you will be here this weekend as the journey begins. — Pastor Chad
