It's the final episode of the Simpsons and Futurama, and it all comes down to this: three guys talking about cartoons. Ben joins us again today to go over the pros and cons of both series to try to decide which series is best... with interesting results. Ben forces Blaze and Henno to watch the worst episode of either show, and we go over adult animation as a whole. We hope you enjoy.
And here we are with the penultimate Simpsons/Futurama episode, today discussing Futurama. We welcome back Ben who wastes no time in slandering Henno (sorry Elizabeth Olsen). Aside from this, we discuss our favourite side characters, how it suffered from Fox's ill-advised cancellation, how TV has changed in general, and of course, some of our favourite quotes.
And we are back! We finally get Ben back in the room to record content that some would describe as "on the internet". Starting with a brief discussion on Morbius and Madame Web, we delve into our favourite side characters, the dark days of relying on VHS, where did it start to go wrong, what are our least favourite episodes, plus some foreshadowing for the final episode in this series. Enjoy.
Yo homes, we're here to discuss Futurama again. We start this episode in quite a serious discussion, but as usual, it turns into a massive quote-fest. We go through our favourite episodes, and some of our favourite storylines that impact the entire series going forward. Have a listen, and judge us as you will.
Here we are at our third episode on The Simpsons and Futurama, and today we discuss The Simpsons specifically. This episode starts with a discussion of side characters, special guests and favourite episodes, but as usual we end up quoting the best parts of the series. Ben joins us again (yes, on the shit microphone. Sorry Ben) but we are moving toward an end point for this series... even if we don't know where that is. Peace out, homies!
And here we have the second episode of our series on The Simpsons and Futurama - today's episode focusing specifically on Futurama. We welcome back Ben to discuss the companion series to The Simpsons, and discuss the origins if the series, and how it might possibly be the more emotional series of the two - Seymour and the Seven-Leafed Clover as proof. Enjoy, at your own peril.
We asked you. You voted. So now we're talking about it: The Simpsons and Futurama. In this episode we welcome back friend of the show, Ben, to discuss The Simpsons, it's origins and some of the interesting facts surrounding the "Golden Age" of the show. Be prepared for quotes, impressions and a slight divergence regarding television censorship. Enjoy.
Welcome to F.U.C.K.S Six, our Fortnightly ramblings to try and keep us somewhat topical. This episode we welcome Ben who will be joining us for our Simpsons/Futurama episodes and who sat in to help us talk nonsense. Amongst the nonsense we discuss Pub Trivia, too many Hobbit movies, will Madame Web not be terrible, Henno vs The Oscars, Blaze's escapades in playing not-Pokemon, and the random Harry Potter stuff. Pick your beverage and settle in for some absolute ramblings. Enjoy if you can.
Bongo Comics has been publishing Simpsons and Futurama comics for decades. With the release of the new season of Futurama, we take our first look at this corner of the comic book universe with the Simpsons/Futurama Crossover Crisis collection, compiling two different 2-issue crossover events from 2002 and 2005. But how do these gag comics compare with some of the others that we've read? And will we be the next voice cast for the Groening-verse? Kia or Chris? The answers lie within. And of course, we continue our long read of Knightfall with Chapter 17 in Batman #499, in which nobody bothers to tell Robin anything at all. Next Time: The Eisner Award-winning Nightwing: Leaping Into the Light by Tom Taylor & Bruce Redondo!
Kalid & Joe get animated! In getting a chance to gush about The Simpsons, the monster crew dig into the very best perpetually drooling, tentacled, one-eyed alien monsters: Kang & Kodos! We focus in on a few Treehouse of Horror episodes, specifically the original, Treehouse of Horror VII, Treehouse of Horror XVIII, and Treehouse of Horror XXX. We also breifly mention the Simpsons/Futurama crossover, "Simpsorama." ** Special shout out to Jim Hall for the music! I tell you what, you'll be glad you joined us on this episode of The Bluth, the Whole Bluth, and Nothing But the Bluth, because we're Bartalkin' Bartok the Magnificent with our good buddy, Chris Bramante! Since this is the only sequel (prequel?) to any of Don Bluth's films that the Don himself directed (and Gary too!), we felt justified in devoting a whole episode to that humorous Hank Azarian bat and his Kelsey Grammerian bear friend. Get ready for singing (maybe), Simpsons/Futurama references (most likely), and some loose Russian history (there's an outside chance). So strap yourself in for an episode that's simply B-A-R-T— OK! (wait....) I mean Magnificent, simply Magnificent! ----- Do you have a Don Bluth related story or thoughts on any of his films that you would like to share with our pod? Just call (323) 380-8103 and leave a message to be included as part of our final episode down the line! Or, if you have some audio recording know-how, feel free to email us a download link for a WAV audio file recording of yourself to TheWholeBluth@gmail.com. Or just email us and we'll read it on the pod. Whatever is most comfortable for you!
