Novembra 1918 so se s podpisi vdaj in premirij končali poglavitni vojaški spopadi zaveznikov in t.im. centralnih sil v prvi svetovni vojni.
The Sistory podcast goes back 200 years and discusses the year 1822. Special guests our Mom Sharon and our sister Jenn.
Here is the second part of our Internation Women's Day special! In this episode, we share the story and insights of the second badass woman of our choice t and discuss their claim to be feminist icons. Our three gals include a fiery queen and distraught mother called Tomyris who halted the advancement of the Persian Empire (kinda a big deal), a female artist who defied the invisible nature of female artists of her time despite the shit she was faced with and; none other than our fave Mexican painter, Frida Khalo, who also had to pave through a non-straightforward route to her success and fame. If you haven't already checked out Part 1 of our Sistory special, click here to listen! This episode comes with a trigger warning: we mention themes of death by suicide, rape, coercion, violence against women, victim-blaming, victim torture and pregnancy loss. Enjoy and let us know what you think!
We love International Women's Day! In honour of this year's celebration, we are presenting to you three badass women of history that you may or may not have heard of. Each one of us picks one of our fave gals from the past and tells their story in this episode. We mention a bold and beautiful ancient Egyptian female Pharoah called Hatasepshut, the queen that should have been, Empress Matilda and; none other than Russia's fave - Catherine the Great. This episode is part 1 of a 2 part series and aims to shine a light on the women of history that don't always make it into our history books. Enjoy and let us know what you think! Ps. Don't forget that Rossini cocktail while you're listening to this one! ****Disclaimer: This episode features Catherine the Great, Empress of Imperial Russia. The MMM team would like to state that they do not endorse Russian Imperialism (or imperialism of any kind) in any way, and stand by Ukraine against Putin's aggression. The first celebrities of their kind, the Gabors were considered famous for just being famous. With 19 husbands among the three of them and their fair share of very public affairs, they became notorious. But there was so much more to them than that. They were a tight-knit family of Hungarian immigrants who fought and escaped encroaching Nazi forces (all in their own unique way). They were successful businesswomen and talented performers who excelled together as well as apart. And, most importantly to us, they were sisters! Magda, Zsa Zsa, and Eva Gabor represent the best side of sisterhood: they were there for each other during their highs and lows, helped each other's careers, and stood by each other's sides until the end of their lives. Tune in to hear the whole story of the glamorous Gabor sisters! Follow us @sistoryuntold to stay up to date on all things Sistory! The moment we've all been waiting for! Sistory season 2, for real this time. Sistory hosts finally bring part one of Henry VIII wives all about the divorce that broke a nation, from the church that is: Cathrine of Aragon and Anne Boelyn. Chelsea and Sean break down the ins and outs of courtly nonsense, tennis, traumatic brain injury, and their 15-year-old emo phase in this episode, the first of three that follow the Tudor Queens married to Henry VIII.
This week is just a Tiny Tudor Teaser of Season two of Sistory. In this episode Sean and Chelsea talk ren faires, life updates, movies and tv shows that are historically inaccurate but that are lovable, and their hopes for the future episodes of Sistory: A History Podcast. There is very little actual history in this episode, but we like to think about it as a behind the scenes glimpse into the Sistory ladies friendship and getting you all pumped for this upcoming season all about our most favorite Tudor Queens! Those very dense historical episodes are coming next week and beyond, every Thursday! Welcome to our new Sistorians and a huge welcome back to our repeat offenders.

This week our hosts question everything they thought they knew when they dive deep into a hole of conspiracy theories. Is NASA lying to the American Public about making it to the moon. Does Russia have something to do with it? Did Shakespeare write his play's himself, or maybe was he a murderer? Find out more, this week on Sistory.
LISTEN UP, Sistorians! This episode is the first in this brand new year that we recorded on brand new recording equipment. Moving forward we only want the best audio quality for youse, so that your ear holes hear each and every word of these thrilling unsolved mysteries. This week Chelsea and Sean put on their deerstalker hats and whip out their magnifying glasses to investigate some of the world's most baffling unsolved mysteries. From a swanky 70's hijacking to the secret admirer of music's crankiest composer; this episode does not disappoint. Unless you want the mysteries to be solved... in which case you will be disappointed.

In this episode of Sistory, we begin to explore the life and times of King Kristina of Sweden, perhaps best known for contradicting every expectation imposed upon her from her literal birth, A queer (and possibly trans!) icon, Kristina talked loudly, swore notably, and became known as a great thinker of her time before her twenty-fifth birthday, all while driving her advisors up the wall. If that sounds boring, there's also discussions of the true nature of sleepovers, borderline necrophilia, and church graverobbing! (There's less overlap than one might expect.)
What do superheroes, wombs, fortune tellers, and the specific meaning of the word affair have to do with Madame de Pompadour, head mistress to Louis VX? Not a lot, and yet we manage to bring all of them up in the pilot episode of Sistory.
The women of Sistory join the show with two stories of integrating gendered sporting events. Shooting, synchronized swimming, and whether we set women up for success or failure by separating men’s and women’s events. Plus, A.J. Andrews wins a Golden Glove and Ali Krieger is traded to Orlando. Logo by Michael Moffett Theme song – […]
