POPULARITY
Last Fall, Elon Musk announced, that he wanted to perfect and mass-produce Optimus as soon as possible, predicting the “humanoid” would prove to be widely accepted and profitable. The techno-futurist is unlikely to question his commitment to a rapidly expanding world of “artificial intelligence" and how it will contribute to an entirely surveilled, behavior-modified, and jobless humanity as some people will prefer AI-enabled robots over humans. The Uncanny Valley has been crossed and the populace is getting used to their cyborg overlords. Tonight on Ground Zero, Clyde Lewis talks with transhumanist advocate, Gennady Stolyarov about SMELLS LIKE MEAN CYBORG. #GroundZero #ClydeLewis #SmellsLikeMeanCyborg #AI #KillerRobots https://groundzeromedia.org/1-10-23-smells-like-mean.../ Ground Zero with Clyde Lewis is live M-F from 7-10pm, pacific time, and streamed for free at groundzero.radio and our online affiliates, talkstreamlive.com, kgradb.com, and unxnetwork.com. With the November elections just weeks away, campaigning is as important now as ever before. A major challenge for this year’s local office candidates, however, is finding creative ways to campaign during the COVID-19 pandemic. One such candidate, Wendy Stolyarov, who is running for the Ward One seat on Sparks City Council, has been conducting her own contact free campaign neighborhood “lit drops.” Stolyarov has also turned her campaign into a vehicle for assisting people in need. “When the pandemic hit, we switched to doing community welfare calls,” Stolyarov said. “Whatever [their needs] might've been, we were then putting them in contact with those resources and encouraged people to engage in mutual aid. Our first mailer for the campaign was a mutual aid card, which you basically put your name on and stuck it on your neighbor's door offering to help. I got a lot of phone calls from people who had received those and said that it was such a sweet idea and were going to reach out and help their neighbor and see what they can do in the community.” She says this also made her realize the positive influence of community building, rather than pretending to be an individual savior. Hear much more in this episode with reporter Scott King on her campaign techniques and the issues she cares about as she runs for a seat on the Sparks City Council in northern Nevada.

In this podcast I read Death is Wrong by Gennady Stolyarov II. A number of people have recommend or requested I record myself reading. Enjoy. From the book's Amazon page: If you have ever asked, "Why do people have to die?" then this book is for you. The answer is that no, death is not necessary, inevitable, or good. In fact, death is wrong. Death is the enemy of us all, to be fought with medicine, science, and technology. This book introduces you to the greatest, most challenging, most revolutionary movement to radically extend human lifespans so that you might not have to die at all. You will learn about some amazingly long-lived plants and animals, recent scientific discoveries that point the way toward lengthening lifespans in humans, and simple, powerful arguments that can overcome the common excuses for death. If you have ever thought that death is unjust and should be defeated, you are not alone. Read this book, and become part of the most important quest in human history. This book was written by the philosopher and futurist Gennady Stolyarov II and illustrated by the artist Wendy Stolyarov. It is here to show you that, no matter who you are and what you can do, there is always a way for you to help in humanity’s struggle against death.
